The EOS Lapse Calendar (Satire/shitpost)

The EOS Lapse Calendar (ELC) is a new calendar based on both the launch of the EOS mainnet by Block.One in 2018 and the launch of the Bitcoin network in 2009 by Satoshi Nakamoto. The time elapsed between the EOS network launch on June 9th, 2018 and April 10th, 2020 is 671 days. The same number of days after the launch of the Bitcoin network on January 3rd, 2009 gives a date of November 5th, 2010. Thus, April 10th, 2020 on the Gregorian calendar is November 5th, 2010 on the ELC.

01/03/2009 is where the ELC begins, as it maps the adoption rate of EOS to the adoption rate of Bitcoin. The status of the EOS ecosystem is compared to the status of Bitcoin on the given date. For example, the price of one bitcoin never even broke $1.00 by November 5th, 2010, and still didn't until early 2011. EOS currently has a low price and very limited community or infrastructure. Some world events, such as extreme political tension and a worldwide economic recession, are also present in the early stages of both networks. Mapping these dates together not only makes it easier to have patience in the adoption of EOS, but also to appreciate the value of time in general.
