The beginning of the way
My story begins in July 2017.
Many guys remember this golden period for cryptocurrency experiments.
I, too, found myself in this cycle of events, finding $ 1,000 and replenishing my balance on the crypto exchange.
At first, I traded the fiat pair with minimal risks, and in a 1-2 of weeks I was able to accelerate my balance to $ 1,500
After this experience, I decided to move on to manual cryptocurrency trading. And on this decision, the funny story took a break.
Hamster manual trading activation
During this period, the process of the formation of Bitcoin Cash took place. Having no experience, I bought this coin "for the whole cutlet" at the moment of its maximum value.
After that, I was in a nervous mood sitting by my laptop on the seashore, while on vacation with my family.
The BCH price began to jump up and down, and I, by virtue of my human nature, sold at the top, then bought at the bottom. As a result, my balance of $ 1,500 turned into a hundred dollar pumpkin.
Over the next three to four months, I periodically tried to use margin and spot trading, even invested under the traders' management, but everything ended in a loss of balance to zero.
Trading psychology
After analyzing my actions, I came to the conclusion that I cannot control the psychological effect of increasing risks. Even when I was ready and willing to follow the developed trading strategy, I constantly increased the risks without realizing this fact.
When I talk about increased risk, I mean higher leverage, dumb buys at the very top of the price, and intuitive wrong sells at the very bottom of the price.
For me, the conclusion is that a person should not participate in the bidding process himself, relying solely on his intuition. The emotional component is a chemical reaction to an imaginary reality, and the person cannot feel and control the limits of risks.
One gets the impression that there is no cause for concern, as if nothing dangerous is happening, and the money at that time is in direct danger. It is not right.
Life after gambling addiction
Realizing this, I stopped trading and gambling.
At the same time, as a programmer, I started to create my own cryptocurrency exchange together with my friend, with whom we studied trading and strategies.
By this time, we had a huge store of knowledge, we understood how exchanges, scammers, exchangers, etc. work.
We understood blockchain and cryptocurrency.We wanted to create an ideal trading tool, at that time it seemed to us that this could be implemented as an exchange with transparent conditions and without deceiving users.
The first crypto project in production
The development was carried out from August 2018 to February 2019, we created the best exchange at that time (as it seemed to us) and the trading conditions on it.
Attraction of the first users began, the first reviews.
For 4 months, we managed to collect about 100 users on the site, who could not do anything special, since we did not program a fictitious emulation of exchange actions.
Some exchanges use the semblance of trading, which manifests itself in the form of a deceptive pumping of turnover with non-existent trading operations, an artificial increase in the price of various currencies and the subsequent sharp sale of a large number of coins.
Disappointed with this result, we were forced to close the exchange.
New plans
Then my companion and I (I think he's one of the best front-end programmers and also a great friend) started planning to create multiplayer games and the Internet of Things.
At some point, I showed him a weak robot that was arbitrating on one exchange. And he came up with the idea to create a site for automatic trading on the exchange, as he also took the bad experience of manual trading.
Market analysis of existing offers
During July 2020, he closely studied the existing proposals for automated trading that were distributed on the Internet. And I, at this time, was already preparing the backend for the upcoming project.
As a result of research, it turned out that the market for automated trading instruments is oversaturated, but their usability is at zero level.
Many applications were incredibly difficult to understand how they worked, others needed some kind of incomprehensible action or payment to see them demo, and still others were not working at all or were very slow.
