152/152: MONA

  • The Mona Lisa is undoubtedly one of the most famous paintings in the world. Its eventful history is the main contributor to the high value. The artwork was stolen from the Louvre in 1911. Pablo Picasso, among others, was detained as a suspect. In no time this became a massive media spectacle, and once the painting was reclaimed, the whole world knew about the Mona Lisa.
"MONA" is an homage to the old masters, to value through exposure, to art and perception. The back of the card is a window into Leonardo DaVinci's thoughts.
