Welcome!

I hope this guide helps you out. It is essentially a work in progress and I plan to edit/update going forward. Note I am just a regular player and am not associated with Titanium Toaster Corp. If you have any suggestions or notice any errors feel free to share.

1. About:

Coin Hunt World (CHW) is a free-to-play/play-to-earn mobile game currently in Beta. It is currently available in the US and Canada, and has plans to expand into Australia and the UK next, before expanding elsewhere after.

Users explore their real-world area searching for keys, which are then used to open vaults. When a vault is opened the user is prompted with a trivia question. If answered correctly within the given time limit, the user is rewarded.

Currently users are rewarded in real Bitcoin or Etherium, as well as in game items such as avatar skins, and crafting items.

See State of the Beta Article and "About Us, Our History" for further reading about the basic concepts, and history of the game.

2. Installation:

Android

iOS *Since the game is in Beta, you will have to download the app Test Flight, which is designed to help developers test beta versions of their apps.

3. Referrals:

*UPDATE\* NEW USERS MUST CLICK ON THE REFERRAL LINK BEFORE SETTING UP THEIR HQ!

For new users wishing to use a buddy's referral link, you must click their referral link after downloading the game and before setting up your Cubies "Headquarters." Headquarters will be discussed in the next section.

Please use your buddy's referral link at this stage if they have given you one!

For users wishing to find their own referral link, you must build your HQ first, tap on it, and select "invite friends." This will prompt you with various ways to share your link.

4. Headquarters:

The Headquarters (HQs) will give you access to your daily free green key, as well as your referral link/code, and your reward gift inventory (referral rewards & event rewards can be found here).

Each User is allowed to have one HQ at a time. HQs can be placed on the map at the users current location, at the users discretion.

Constructing your HQ will require a Green Key each time. Other users will not be able to see your HQ, and your HQ will not conflict with other HQs.

It is recommended to place your HQ near your home, work, or somewhere you frequent daily. You can destroy them them as long as you can see it on the map, so don't leave it behind while on vacation! (It's not the end of the world if this happens, the devs are friendly)

5. First Coinhunt:

Head towards the nearest commercial/built up area. Main Streets and high traffic areas are the places to go right now. Rural areas and parks will get some more TLC with later developments.

If your area is empty, or there are inaccessible or unsafe key/vault locations you can join the Discord group and post the approximate addresses ideally in the #vault-location-ideas channel, and the developers will check your area and make sure it is populated as intended.

6. Leaderboards:

Right now players compete on Global Leaderboards, as well as Local Leaderboards (Local = By country). Rewards are given to the top Global Monthly Players each month.

7. Buddy Quests:

Buddy quests are currently not activated in game. Spoiler: Previously, they were exclusive to players who have exchanged referral links, and would require both users to find a location within 1.5 Statute Miles (~3km) of their respective HQs at the same time to unlock a reward.

8. Printshops

Printshops are locations where you can craft avatar skins for your Cubie. They are normally somewhat rare and located in major centers of commerce, such as large malls. The discord group is the best place at the moment to find the nearest printshop to you.

9. Withdrawls:

Users will be able to withdraw through Uphold. The work done on Titanium Toaster's part is complete, and the waiting game is being played while uphold approves it on their end.

As the rate of Fiat currency failure increases, will CGT be used by Governments as a weapon against long term Bitcoin Hodlers ?

I read yesterday a post on here mentioning that the UK Government plans to increase its CGT to 40%.
Many Bitcoin hodlers acknolwedge the folly of Government money printing, and in response decide to exit into Bitcoin as an alternative.

If the Bitcoin strategy works out, by increasing significantly in value in comparison to Fiat, won't governments simply re-capture those who decided to exit their system, by way of rediculous CGT increases?

If BTC hits a million, and you want to take profits, are you really going to pay uncle sam 400,000 of your 1m?

Whats your thinking on this?

Are there legal, more efficient ways of handling this type of circumstance?

As I see it, CGT Allowances may help, a bit.. assuming the Governments don't simply scrap them..

Combining an allowance with a partner may also be an option for some..

The recent Michale Saylor podcast video made an interesting suggestion, which was to borrow fiat against the value of your BTC assets ... apparently this is CGT exempt, and also income tax exempt.. however, it introduces more risk back in to the equation, plus, some of us don't like the idea of 'getting in to debt', or being beholden to anyone .. is that prudent or limited thinking?

Finally, in a world where BTC were to actually replace fiat currencies, could one simply buy a good or service thats priced in BTC, with their long term holdings, without generating a CGT event?

In the good old days we could have voted with our feet, and moved to a more friendly CGT juristiction, but in a world with ever tightning restrictions & control, I don't think this will be quite as simple for the majority of people, going forward..
