Recent onchain data shows that large wallets are quietly accumulating Bitcoin rather than chasing short term price moves. Historically, this kind of BTC accumulation phase often comes before capital starts rotating into Ethereum and then into altcoins. Its usually a slow build up, not an instant switch, but it has been a common setup ahead of past alt seasons.
As BTC dominance stabilizes, liquidity tends to look for higher returns elsewhere. This is when strong alts with real use cases and solid fundamentals start to attract attention. Instead of sudden pumps, the early phase of an alt season is often marked by steady accumulation and range bound price action before momentum picks up.
On a personal level, i have been gradually accumulating a few alts at lower price levels rather than going all in. One of them is BGB, which i have been adding in small amounts during the current phase 11 of Crazy 48H event on Bitget. Its part of a broader, long term positioning approach, not a short term trade.
Looking into the new year, many forecasts point to improving market conditions, stronger narratives around sectors like AI, infrastructure, and RWAs, and increased retail participation if BTC continues to hold key levels. If whale accumulation continues and volatility stays controlled, the next alt season may start quietly before becoming more obvious later on.
