Will the Halving Create a Drop in Network Hash Rate and Security?

Currently, miners receive 12.5 btc plus transaction fees, to be reduced to 6.25 btc plus transaction fees this year. This would naturally mean miners will lose profitability and many may leave the network I would assume, unless the drop in 6.25 BTC is dwarfed by what miners make in transaction fees each block.

To calculate this, if I assume an average of $0.65 fees per transaction (source: https://bitinfocharts.com/comparison/bitcoin-transactionfees.html#1y ), and the current average transactions per block of 2,300 (source: https://blockgeeks.com/guides/bitcoin-halving/ ), then that results in $1,495 per block from fees, or ~0.15 btc right now. Compared to 6.25 btc, 0.15 btc is nothing. If correct, this would imply that the vast majority of miner income is from block rewards. With profitability effectively cut in half, the hash rate should fall by half, or at least until enough miners leave that it becomes profitable again (I assume half, but I don't know). Transaction fees would need to be on the order of 42x what they are now to have the same block rewards for miners, which would not happen. Am I missing something, or is this a huge potential issue? Especially long term, fees will need to be very high to provide incentive to enough miners to keep the network safe, which could only happen with smaller blocks or much larger transaction volume.

Is there a book or something I can read that will help me truly understand how bitcoin operates? A guide something?

I've had BTC since 2014, HODLR and true believer, but I really don't know much beyond the surface level of the technology. I want to know what all the ins and outs are and how it all works. I feel very ignorant.

Does anyone have any good recommendations?

Persistent Volume Stuck On Loading - Now all files vanished

So tried to log into Tails last night, successsfully. Was up and running for 5 minutes and a power failure happened. Second login attempt I was met with a contiously loading sign at the greeter and unable to do anything else....

Followed a couple of things online found via google (disable and re-enable peristence) etc and seemed to work. Unfortunately I now have a new persistence volume, with nothing inside but Tor Browser folder.

The shortcut on the sidebar has disappeared also. The thing I find most strange is that when I check the partion in diskutility, it was there is the same amount of data usage % used so I know the data must still be there.

I've tried everything to try and recover (file/data recovery) within tails and cannot. I am also unable to decrypt the volume outside of tails (linux recovery distro).

If anyone is able to solve my problem I will reaward the $2000 via bitcoin for their efforts.

Help me.

EDIT:

I've already booted into the device, hence why I got the new persistence volume. But I can still see the data usage is the same as before, the files have just vanised.

Unfortunately I beleve there has been around 100-200kb data written to the partion because of the boot.

Am I screwed?

Another unfortunate event is that I used TeskDisk to see if any files were undeleteable, I found only one that was the persistence.conf which was the same as the original

Impossible to split BSV from BCH on Trezor with Mac. Race against time...

No wonder why BSV value is surging, If many are struggling with a Trezor like me...

Followed this guide: https://wiki.trezor.io/How_to_split_and_send_your_Bitcoin_Cash_forks

turned out that it works only with pre 3.3.2 Electron Cash SW. Later versions don't see SV servers anymore. Besides developer warns you from using that old version it produces an error on the SV network after successfully moving coins on BCH network. (Step 11 in guide)

"error: {'code': 1, 'message': 'the transaction was rejected by network rules.\n\n258: txn-mempool-conflict\n

Cryptic, but looks like a double spending error message. Did not double spent on SV side.

Since it's a race against time now, I also tried the ElectrumSV client which doesn't even start. Tried 2 different versions, no luck.

SV block height catching-up with BCH transaction block. Don't know what to do anymore in this SV limbo state....
