Love it or Hate it - Bitcoin Halving in just over a Day.

Rewards cut in half to 3.125 Bitcoin. I wish I got in early. I was into computers back in the early 80s when it was tape cassettes saving data. I almost bought around 3500. I waited and it moved up and like many times with stocks - let it go 😂

Romance scams what’s your story?

Stop the Spacamz: Unmasking the Web of Romance Scams

Do you have a romance scam story? I do, and I chase these people I should know better and even I got wrapped up in one.. if just one person avoids this kind of propaganda lies and heartstopper emotional pain that be great.

Introduction

In the vast digital expanse, where hearts flutter across screens and love letters are typed rather than penned, a sinister undercurrent flows. It's a realm where affection blooms, but so do deception and betrayal. Welcome to the treacherous world of romance scams—a web spun by cunning hands, ensnaring unsuspecting hearts. What Is a Romance Scam?

Picture this: You meet someone special on a dating app. The virtual sparks fly, and soon, you're exchanging messages, calls, and dreams. But beware—their profile might be as genuine as a mirage in the desert. Romance scammers create elaborate personas, weaving tales of love, adventure, and shared destiny. Yet, behind the poetic words lies a cold truth: they're after your money.

The Lies They Tell

Romance scammers are chameleons, adapting their stories to lure you in. Here are some common narratives:

  1. The Distant Lover: They claim to live far away—perhaps working on an oil rig, stationed in the military, or aiding an international organization. Their love transcends borders, but their motives remain grounded in greed.

  2. The Medical Emergency: Suddenly, they need funds for emergency surgery or ailing family members. Your heartstrings tug, but their fingers are already reaching for your wallet.

  3. The Cryptocurrency Whisperer: Some scammers even promise to guide you into the world of cryptocurrency investing. Beware—they're more interested in your wallet than your financial literacy.

The Art of Extraction Once trust is established, the trap tightens. The scammer asks for money—sometimes subtly, sometimes urgently:

  • Cryptocurrency Investments: "Invest with me; we'll ride the Bitcoin wave together."

Payment Methods: The Trail of Deception

Scammers are crafty. They steer you toward payment methods that favor them:

  1. Gift Cards: Amazon, Google Play, iTunes— razor, gold, and steam, the PIN codes become their golden keys.
  2. Money Transfer Apps: Swift transactions, no paper trail. Do not Zelle anybody money and if you do get wrapped up at least open another account to do it with using a main bank account could destroy your financial life.
  3. Cryptocurrency: The most elusive path—once it's gone, it's gone.

How to Shield Your Heart and Wallet

  1. Meet in Person: Never send money or gifts to a sweetheart you haven't met face-to-face. Even if they video chat, you, they still cannot be trusted, and if they don’t speak English well and would rather text you. It’s a spam.!!
  2. Trust Your Instincts: If something feels off, it probably is I understand loneliness, believe me, but don’t let your heart. Tell your mind and your eyes that they are lying to you I can’t believe I fell for it really
  3. Talk to Someone You Trust: Share your doubts with friends or family. And they all told me it’s a scam and I didn’t listen. Don’t be me.
  4. Report Suspicious Activity: Notify authorities and platforms where you encountered the scammer. There are authorities out there that you can go to, but if you didn’t lose more than let’s say $5000 to one of these people don’t bother it’s not worth a headache or the anguish. Just write it off as you felt good for a while and just let it go.

Conclusion

Let's raise our shields against the spacamz—those digital serpents slithering through our screens. Love deserves better. So, next time a stranger professes undying love, remember: **true affection doesn't come with a price tag

$WEED 420 Coin Headed For $420M MC by 4/20 (currently $16K MC, 25000X Moonshot Potential)

I’ve been researching 4/20 meme coins over the last day as I’m sure at least one will pump significantly in the next couple of days, in the run up to the annual 4/20 smokers holiday - which also happens to coincide nicely with the bitcoin halving this year

Of all the projects out there $WEED 420 Blaze It on Solana (CA: G3bNZLjkQ1u29sJd68sCgidcdTpQZdjP8gbhiiUA2Jra) looks like the most legit community, dev and is still super low market cap at the time of writing ($15K mc).

They have an active Telegram channel and Twitter, and they plan to take over Reddit and Twitter over the next couple of days with memes that the Dev has already prepared and shared with the community.

Checked the ownership of the wallets and everything looks legit and rug-safe also, with this coin initially being launched on pump.fun (as always please DYOR)

The project went through the usual pump and dump that every new project seems to go through, but the chart has already started building back up and looks like it could be about to grow exponentially

If they get anywhere close to the planned goal of a $420 mill MC by 4/20, this would mean a 25,000X return on investment right now. So $10 to $250K.

We’ve seen so many viral meme coins lately explode to MCs above $50M with very little marketing, just capitalizing on current events.

So this seems like a great moonshot opportunity to me, and worth throwing $20 at

Wednesday 4/17/24 Market Recap Evening Edition:

With few economic indicators in sight, the stock market took a breather today alongside the dollar, crude oil, and interest rates, which eased back from recent multi-month highs. Yesterday's cautious comments from the Federal Reserve, coupled with disappointing earnings reports from Travelers (TRV) and U.S. Bancorp (USB), kept many investors on the sidelines. Technology (XLK), Real Estate (XLRE), and Industrials (XLI) led the decline, with seven out of eleven sectors posting losses. Currently, ten out of eleven sector ETFs are trading at or below their 50-day moving averages.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average slipped by 45.66 points (-0.12%) to close at 37,753.31, while the S&P 500 fell by 29.20 points (-0.58%) to settle at 5,022.21. The NASDAQ experienced a sharper decline, tumbling 181.88 points (-1.15%) to finish at 15,683.37.

Market breadth was predominantly negative, with declining issues outpacing advancing ones by 76 units on the NYSE and by a ratio of 3:2 on the NASDAQ. Although the advancing volume was 50% on the NYSE, declining volume slightly exceeded advancing volume on the NASDAQ at 51%. The VIX, a measure of market volatility, dipped by 0.20 points (-1.03%) to settle at 18.21.

Crude oil prices retreated by 2.47 points (-2.89%), with the May contract closing at $82.89 per barrel. Gold prices also stumbled, losing 19.40 points (-0.81%) to finish at $2,388.40 per ounce. Bitcoin (BTC) ended the day at $61,316.64.

Stocks reaching new 52-week highs have seen a significant reversal over the past week, with new 52-week lows taking the lead on both the NYSE and NASDAQ. A visual representation of this shift can be observed by clicking on the Market-At-Glance link on the Home tab, where the New Low line has crossed above the New High line, indicating a strengthening downtrend. New 52-week highs have returned to levels last seen in late October 2023, just before the current bull run began.

Earnings reports to keep an eye on for Thursday include: ABB Ltd. (ABBN), Blackstone (BX), D.R. Horton (DHI), Infosys LTD (INFY), Intuitive Surgical (ISRG), Netflix (NFLX), and Marsh & McLennan Companies (MMC).

Key events on Thursday's economic calendar include the release of weekly jobless claims data and speeches from Federal Reserve officials.

Bitcoin halving is likely this week

The Bitcoin halving looms large on the horizon. This significant technical event, encoded in Bitcoin's core protocol, occurs roughly every four years. Simply put, it entails cutting the rewards for Bitcoin miners in half.

The primary objective is to slow down the rate at which new Bitcoin enters circulation. With a cap of 21 million Bitcoin, the halving serves to enhance scarcity, thereby potentially driving up its value.

Historically, previous halving events have heralded substantial surges in Bitcoin prices, often reaching new record highs. However, the landscape appears distinct this time around.
