What are your expectations for 2023? I am aware that we are all exhausted from the latest events in 2022, but do you feel that this is the year of recovery?
We've seen how Terra Luna became worthless, Celsius declared bankruptcy, and SBF, the founder of FTX, was detained and accused of fraud. The price of Bitcoin was a comfortable $46,000 at this time last year. Today, it is worth about a third of that.
Regardless, it’s safe to say crypto does not follow the normal market playbook. So predictions are all over the place.
In this article, you may find some interesting stuff and predictions for this year.
What do you think about it?
Some predictions, such as the next 2024 halving as a crucial element in 2023's performance, caught my attention. As mining rewards halve, which occurs every four years on average, this is where supply restrictions for Bitcoin become an issue. Notably, Litecoin's event will take place in August 2023; it is frequently referred to as the silver to Bitcoin's gold. Following the halves, there are fewer coins in circulation, which reduces fiat inflation.
Some people suggest Bitcoin could reach prices of around $300,000 by the end of 2024.
What do you think about all of that?
