Hello. This is FIRMACHAIN.
In 2022, FIRMACHAIN’s main focus lay in launching and developing the Colosseum mainnet in order to get closer to the project’s goal of expanding the ecosystem and to grow into a trust-based comprehensive blockchain platform.
Starting off as a blockchain project for electronic contracts, the team realigned its goal into becoming a comprehensive Utilitainment (Utility + Entertainment) blockchain platform. In order to successfully accomplish the aforementioned, the project did its very best to stabilize its mainnet and to advertise its technological accomplishments and R&D know-hows to the wider blockchain community.
Before announcing our roadmap for 2023, we will provide a brief overview of the progress that were made by FIRMACHAIN in 2022 and will move on to share the next steps that are planned for this year.
Overview of 2022
With the launch of the Cosmos SDK based Colosseum mainnet in January, we successfully laid the foundations to build a decentralized Protocol Economy where not only network participants (validators and token holders) but also regular service providers (corporate and individual) could freely participate in.
In February, prior to the mainnet support by CEXs, we developed a token swap service through which ERC-20 based FCT(FCT2) holders could easily swap their tokens to the Colosseum mainnet based FCT(FCT2) tokens. Additionally, we released the web version of a handy tool called the Firma Station which granted token holders easy access to the Colosseum mainnet and its ecosystem.
In April, we opened our Reddit community channel in order to supply more project related news to our global users. Since the majority of the global blockchain experts and industry players share and gather the most recent blockchain related news through Reddit, with the opening of our Reddit channel, users of FIRMACHAIN were able to easily access the latest developments of the project through Reddit.
In May, FCT(FCT2) was listed on MEXC Global Cryptocurrency Exchange. MEXC is the first global CEX to list FCT(FCT2) by integrating the project’s Colosseum mainnet. With the listing, holders were granted easy access to the Colosseum mainnet without having to swap tokens. Furthermore, MEXC’s global outreach allowed holders from all over the world to easily trade FCT(FCT2) thereby increasing the token’s liquidity.
In June, we started issuing Newsletters in English and Korean for our global holders and audiences. Aside from the most recent updates of the project, the newsletter also explains arcane concepts and jargons used in the blockchain industry to help increase the awareness of and educate the general public.
In the same month, we released the mobile application version of Firma Station. With the release of the Firma Station mobile, we were able to mitigate the physical restrictions that were present when using the web application version of Firma Station. Additionally, the multiple features that were added to the mobile version of the Firma Station application allowed users to more conveniently participate in the FIRMACHAIN ecosystem.
In September and November, we focused on promotional activities to broadcast the accomplishments of the FIRMACHAIN team. Instead of the Hackathon event, we’ve decided to participate in the global blockchain developer conference, UDC2022 in September and the global blockchain event, BWB2022 in November. We’ve decided that instead of hosting a hackathon event, the participation in the aforementioned events would better serve our purpose of becoming a Utilitainment platform. At the events, we successfully showcased programs that we believe led companies and users a step closer to blockchain. Furthermore, we organized promotional events using DApps (NFT creation, token swap, blockchain based tamper and forgery verification service etc.) in order to enhance the understanding of even those who were previously unfamiliar with blockchain technology and simultaneously allow participants to experience the team’s technological expertise. Not only were the participants able to directly experience daily blockchain use but they also got a chance to understand the FIRMACHAIN ecosystem based on the developed DApps.
In September, we also focused on onboarding users from South East Asia by hosting promotional events in the region. Afterwards, along with our website renewal, the scope of the event was expanded to users from all over the world. Through two different types of promotional events, we were able to increase the number of active users of Firma Station and invigorate the FIRMACHAIN community.
In November, the official website of FIRMACHAIN was renewed. Based on the keywords ‘Utilitainment’ and ‘Expansion’, the website was renewed into a responsive web that well encapsulates the mission of the project, ‘EXPAND YOUR FUTURE A SCALABLE BLOCKCHAIN NETWORK FIRMACHAIN’.
In December, we entered into a partnership agreement with Peoplestech, the owner of the blockchain based proptech platform ‘Azit Alliance’. We are planning to co-develop a blockchain based electronic contract service for the proptech industry.
In December, the first software upgrade of FIRMACHAIN’s mainnet Colosseum was carried out. The upgrade was based on the testnet Imperium’s November update. Registered as a governance proposal and passing with a ‘Yes’ vote of 96.76%, the upgrade includes features such as ▲CosmWasm support ▲FirmaChain Binary, Cosmos SDK, IBC (Inter-Blockchain Communication Protocol), Tendermint version upgrade ▲set Validator min. commission to 5%.
Of the 2022 Roadmap, providing liquidity to the Cosmos DeFi DApp using IBC and conducting outside technology audit of the Colosseum mainnet will take place in 2023. Please note that, since the mainnet was upgraded in December, we had to adjust the schedule for the two items from the 2022 Roadmap.
Furthermore, we are continuously talking with multiple global cryptocurrency exchanges regarding the listing of FCT(FCT2). Since we are not allowed to disclose any details regarding the talks prior to an official announcement by the exchanges, we ask for your understanding.
Following are some of the progress that were made aside from the items that were listed on the 2022 Roadmap.
In October, we released the Restake feature on Firma Station. The Restake feature, developed in order to enhance user convenience, allows the automatic re-staking of the token rewards accrued from staking.
In November, we announced Ledger’s support of FIRMACHAIN (release of the developer version). Authorized by ANSSI, the cold wallet Ledger currently supports more than 1,800 crypto assets including bitcoin and ethereum.
In November, while upgrading our testnet Imperium, we developed the CosmWasm Contract Service, a testing toolkit for developers using CosmWasm. In the near future, we expect more smart contract based DApps to be developed on the FIRMACHAIN ecosystem using CosmWasm.
Roadmap 2023
As we have focused on laying the structural foundations to grow into a platform in 2022, in 2023, we will focus on expanding our ecosystem and further advancing services developed on CosmWasm. Through the aforementioned, our platform will become handy for companies that are trying to use blockchain technology for their business or even Web 3.0. Especially, with the support from the FIRMACHAIN team, companies will be able to conduct a higher level of business while effectively cutting cost and reducing time.
▶️ Verify Service
Firstly, we will develop a preview version of the blockchain based Verify service and allow it to verify the integrity of the data accrued on a day-to-day service. The Verify service will be released as an open API, so that even service providers with no prior knowledge of blockchain could easily utilize the service. In the second half of the year, CosmWasm based smart contract will be integrated into the Verify service.
▶️ Integrate Colosseum mainnet for remaining ERC20 based CEX
We will integrate the Colosseum mainnet for CEXs that initially listed FCT(FCT2) based on ERC20. Last year, we completed the network transfer for most CEXs while we are currently talking with CEXs that have yet to switch networks. Based on the aforementioned, any remaining ERC20 based FCT(FCT2) holders will be able to conveniently transfer assets to their wallet or Firma Station without having to go through a cumbersome token swap process.
▶️ List on DEX and provide liquidity
We are planning to list on Osmosis, the first Cosmos based DeFi DEX that uses AMM (Automated Market Maker) mechanism to provide liquidity. Osmosis has the highest liquidity within the Cosmos ecosystem and simultaneously functions as the liquidity hub that connects different cryptocurrency assets. We expect to host more DApps on our network and increase onchain activity through the above measure.
▶️ Develop NFT Explorer
We are planning to develop a NFT explorer. While preparing for our planned expansion into the NFT business in the future, the development of a NFT explorer will enhance the business efficiency of our potential partners wishing to make use of FIRMACHAIN’s NFT service.
▶️ Upgrade to Firma Station 2.0 and support DApps
We are planning to enhance the features of Firma Station and offer increased support for DApp development. The PC version of Firma Station will be applied the same convenient features as the mobile version in order to enhance interconnectivity and accessibility with DApps. We will develop a more secure wallet login mechanism to mitigate cybersecurity threats and risks for holders logging in to the PC version or accessing the wallet in order to connect to DApps from a public network. The service will be disclosed as an open source project within the Cosmos ecosystem so we can also contribute to the development of the Cosmos ecosystem. Additionally, for the Firma Station 2.0 upgrade, the DApp menu on the PC version will be included as well as the application of some UI/UX improvements.
Outside DApp developers will be given the enhanced login API of the Firma Station application which will make the integration between the DApps and the wallet more convenient. Furthermore, by exposing their DApps on the Firma Station DApp menu, the DApp developers will also be able to obtain advertising effects. Projects developed on the Cosmos ecosystem will also be able to conveniently access the open source API to customize the wallet login feature according to their respective needs.
▶️ Develop Verify 2.0 (apply CosmWasm smart contract)
As mentioned above, we are planning to apply CosmWasm smart contract to the Verify service after its initial release. CosmWasm is the most optimal smart contract platform in the Cosmos ecosystem. Developed on the Cosmos SDK module with features that allow easy multichain expansion, users can expect a more secure and faster connection using CosmWasm.
▶️ Colosseum mainnet security audit
We are planning to receive a security audit of the FIRMACHAIN’s Colosseum mainnet from an outside party. By doing so, we expect to once again prove the security and reliability of the FIRMACHAIN ecosystem and reassert our goal of becoming a transparent and trustworthy global network.
▶️ Upgrade the Colosseum mainnet
We will remain flexible when it comes to upgrading the Colosseum mainnet. In other words, depending on the progress of the business development or the releasing of the upgrade module, we will accordingly upgrade the Colosseum network. We will develop the appropriate technology stacks in an agile manner so that the network remains active at all times.
▶️ Partnership Program
We will continue to pursue our partnership program so that more outside services can onboard the Colosseum network. As DApps and outside services onboard the Colosseum network, the FIRMACHAIN ecosystem will be able to grow and expand. Additionally, outside partners will be able to further advance their blockchain services with the technical help provided by the FIRMACHAIN team.
▶️ Step-by-step development of DAO system tool
In order to assist DApp developers who wish to form decentralized communities for their services, we are planning to develop a DAO system tool. The aforementioned will be carried out in three steps which are ▲Issue CW20/CW721 and Airdrop tools ▲develop CW based voting mechanism ▲launch CosmWasm based DAO. We expect this tool to be easily used for governance build up purposes by users while simultaneously allowing easy access to any business entities or users — even those without any DAO related technical expertise — who require the operation and management of a decentralized community.

Closing Remarks
The FIRMACHAIN team has been working non-stop to firmly establish the foundations for a reliable and secure blockchain project. Based on such solid foundations, in 2023, we will share more of our technical expertise with partners and release open source APIs so that more outside parties could join us in the blockchain journey. We plan to become a more accessible project in 2023 which we expect will naturally create a more collaborative and interconnecting environment.
Furthermore, in order to provide more liquidity in the market, we will expand our listing to DEXs as well as CEXs. Through all of the above, we hope to become a well governed yet convenient and accessible project with high technical expertise.
