How metal has made me a better person.

...and other musings (and questions) from a not literally, but emotionally and physically old man.

  1. Silver is more fun to buy than gold
  2. Privys remain the dumbest thing to happen in this space, though coins with amber and meteorite chunks are a close second. Did you know they are making sports cards with coin cutouts now?!
  3. What happened to that "rich" guy who would come around randomly and rustle jimmies by posting his fat stacks? I miss that guy.
  4. Many /r/pmsforsale posters are delusional about the value of their items. Or they're not, and just trying to take advantage of people.
  5. Canvas bags are useful for all sorts of purposes around the house outside of holding dirty/stinky junk.
  6. You may have a problem if your wife responds to a renewed trickle of increasing daily package volume with, "oh, we're doing this again?".
  7. The idea that a meteor or some other catastrophic event could wipe our entire existence is liberating.
  8. The stock market gives me full confidence we are at some level "doing things right" with PMs.
  9. If you have to liquidate to cover an expense <$1000, you shouldn't have metal.
  10. Numismatics is a wholly underappreciated window into human history.
  11. Milk spots make me sad.
  12. Stop stealing money from grocery stores. Seriously, I get it, but stop; you're stealing...and that's bad.
  13. Who the fuck is cleaning/polishing all these coins?!
  14. eBay is the best, and worst.
  15. What will blockchain be in 50 years and what does that mean for bitcoin?
  16. Speaking of eBay, I would like to speak with whoever is purchasing these "Fed Uncirculated Morgan roll with CC ends" for thousands of dollars.
  17. I kind of want to get into the paper money game, but probably not.
  18. If you are in this for the future, and stability, spend as much effort and attention on your physical and emotional self. We can save all we want, for not, if we treat our vessel like shit.
  19. This hobby remains frighteningly comprised of a very limited demographic that has the potential to create real issues.

Fight me!
