What Will Happen to Bitcoin’s Price Post Halving? Bullish and Bearish Outlooks

Bitcoin(BTC)’s third block reward halving is set to take place today, May 11, in just a few hours.

In the past, Bitcoin halving events coincide with an upswing in general awareness, trading activity and attention towards crypto markets as a whole.

The halving mechanism — part of Bitcoin’s design — takes place roughly every four years. Since Bitcoin’s inception in 2009, there have been two block reward halvings so far.

Following the price patterns after the past two halvings, the industry is generally in agreement that Bitcoin’s third halving has the potential to bring BTC’s price to new heights over the long-term period.

In just a one year period following the previous halvings, in November 2012 and July 2016 halvings, the price of Bitcoin grew x80 and x4, respectively.

Elon's Q&A "level-2 super genius" is a solid investor

I'm sure many of you remember this cringe-worthy back-and-forth between Elon and an audience member during a Tesla event: https://twitter.com/flyingovertr0ut/status/1034979698848215040?lang=en

Well, I was curious what our super-genius was up to, and behold I discovered he has his own blog. Now, I'm not here to continue to poke-fun at him. I actually found that he's a really savvy investor from his blog archives.

He's been early in many highly successful investments. From Bitcoin at <$200/coin, Tesla at $35/share , Facebook at $24/share, Apple at $62/share, Amazon, Google, and Netflix in 2015... The list goes on. Super-genius confirmed- this guy is killing it.

FAANG Cracks, Market Falls

Even Pharma Falls

Today’s market was up at the open but couldn’t hold on to its +160 gain for more than the first half hour and we went negative for good around 1:00PM. I thought that Dr. Fauci might be the fly in the ointment, but he was just as always, measured and calm and had no serious surprises for his Senate questioners. By the last half hour we had broken 24,000 and fell an additional 250 DPs and finished the day -457.21 (1.89%), NASDAQ -189.79 (2.06%), S&P 500 -60.20 (2.05%). The Russell -45.70 (3.46%), and DJ Transports -233.63 (2.84%). The internals were lousy with NYSE 3:1 down and NASDAQ 2.5:1, volume was down in NY and Up in NASDAQ. There were only 2 DJIA stocks higher with UTX +12 DP and WMT up less than one DP. The loss leaders were GS -40, MCD-33, MMM & MSFT -29, V -27, and AAPL, BA, and CAT -26DPs. Strong groups were Consumer staples and Utilities while Real estate, financials and industrials were weak.

Our “open forum” on Discord, which allows me to interact with subscribers and others to allow direct questions and chart opinions on just about any stock, continues to grow with more participants every day. It is informative and allows me to share insights as the market is open and moving. The link is: https://discord.gg/ATvC7YZ and I will be there and active from before the open and all day. It’s a great place to share ideas and gain some insights, and we’ve grown to almost 1900 members. I also did this video titled “How to survive being an options trader and not blow up your account,” over the long weekend. I think it’s very informative as a guide to stock selection and option choices. The link is https://youtu.be/Y7H9RpWfLlo Enjoy!!

SECTORS: Is this the redux of the now infamous Sears / Kmart merger? Taking 2 crappy companies that make no money and put them together into one really big crappy company that doesn’t make any money? Of course, I’m talking about the talk of an UBER / GRUB consolidation! Neither company makes money, they are hurting the restaurant owner’s profits and of course, they pay their drivers substandard wages. Seems like a solid plan. At least Eddie Lampert knew that KM had all that real estate he could steal and liquidate. This one, not so much. And of course, there’s no actual money involved since UBER burns it quicker than Trump and Powell can print it.

Trust Wallet Review In 2020 (Beginner’s Guide)

How do you feel about mobile cryptocurrency wallets? Personally, I like that kind of wallet because it’s like a cryptocurrency wallet in my hand. But is it actually safe? Let’s find out that and everything in this Trust Wallet review.

KuMEX Bitcoin Halving Event | 50% off Trading Fees, Retweet Giveaway & Double Profits

https://www.kucoin.com/news/en-bitcoin-halving-double-rewards-and-50-off-trading-fee

The 25 Controllers You Will Work With

1) The private pilot turned ATC who should’ve probably stayed a pilot. Has to explain in the moment why the crossing restriction you just gave is “tough”.

2) The bearded guy who spends too much time talking about breweries. Loves a baseball team a million miles away from your facility.

3) Old guy #1, ‘rule guy’. Has to point out every rule ever and when it’s not being followed.

4) NATCA BRO. No explanation needed.

5) Black chick #1 who axes like she’s a victim the moment she arrives at work. Never is assigned a challenging position.

6) Black chick #2, who everyone likes because they crush it at pot-lucks and is just an overall good person and controller

7) The ‘FAA is really not that bad’ guy who bids a supe job 1-2 years after making CPC.

8) The guy who blames every problem in the world on how bad TMU/TMC is. Goes down the drain fairly often.

9) The guy who is totally chill and normal but just hates that one facility / sector, who then yells out how bad they are that day.

10) The super religious guy who tries to blend in ::church activity whatever:: into a conversation that had nothing to do with religion.

11) The 57 minute break guy, who thinks they’re doing it to ‘screw the FAA’.

12) Old guy #2, who trains all.of.the.time, who ends up with the person who should’ve washed out but got certified thanks to good ole’ old guy #2

13) Old guy #3, who knows the exact date and time they hit eligibility, and has to promote this fact at least 3x a week.

14) Shift swap / leave guy - “hey man, would it be cool if” is how every text you’ll ever receive from them starts

15) Transfer guy. Came from somewhere, knows a little bit too much about NCEPT, will be gone in a year

16) Finance / side hustle guy. Can give you the oral history of each TSP fund for the last 10 years. Not only trades Bitcoin, but that new thing no one knows about.

17) My Last Facility Guy. Needs you to know every fucking thing about the last place they worked, and ‘wonders’ why ‘we’ can’t do it that way

18) White chick #1, with a 24/7 flirtatious attitude yet marries someone who has nothing to do with ATC

19) White chick #2, dates controllers from your facility, and other facilities, and maybe even that one retired guy

20) Quiet guy. You know nothing about him, no one does. But he’s been there for 10 years on the same strange RDOs. Seems nice.

21) Golf guy. Titleist hat, goes to driving range when it’s too fucking cold out, bids all their leave around golf outings to Phoenix or some old person retirement city with a golf trail.

22) Workout bro. Nah he doesn’t just do CrossFit, he mixes in cardio and ju jit su because there’s gotta be balance. Blows up the bathroom every shift.

23) Spanish guy. Yeah so what English is his third language and when he gives a re-route it’s painful for everyone involved. Dios mio.

24) The Certified Professional Traffic Dodger. Somehow knows when to short break or long break, knows who is up, knows where the weather might be. Gets super friendly with front lines who assign him ELMs during a weather event.

25) The savant. The guy who doesn’t get rattled, who you can count on to not fuck up. Gets off position after a nightmare session and starts playing their nintendo switch like nothing happened. You wonder if their pulse ever crossed 75.

Bitcoin Hashrate Records New All-Time High Amid Halving And BTC Bullish Momentum

With The Third Bitcoin Halving Already Here, Bitcoin Bulls Are Showing No Signs Of Support For The World’s Leading Cryptocurrency

While the crypto world was frantic about Bitcoin’s third halving event, which occurred on May 12, it came with a bullish sentiment among traders and holders. However, the halving produced 5%-8% price swings in both directions prior to the halving. The market didn’t seem to respond to the much-anticipated halving. The weekend saw $1,3 billion in liquidations, which put pressure on Bitcoin bulls. Shortly after Bitcoin’s reward cut, Bitcoin’s price peaked, before correcting itself to currently trading at $8,745.98

Meanwhile, the Bitcoin mining industry seems to be going all-in on validating blocks, as the computing power on Bitcoin’s network, or hashrate, increased to a new all-time high. The 140 terra hash-per-second (TH/s) all-time high surpassed the recent 135 TH/s all-time high of March 2020, meaning that miners deployed all their recourses to celebrate the halving event.

The crypto community welcomed the halving, as TIE published data, showing the word “halving” being present in over 2,900 tweets. Reddit also showed signs of buzzing in the moments prior to the halving and shortly after it. Joshua Frank, TIE’s founder commented on the data, stating that “Bitcoin became a hot topic in the past 30 days, with a 72-percent conversation surge, and with peaks in search terms of Bitcoin and halving crypto related terms in Twitter. Bitcoin also surpassed 50,000 daily tweets, which is a new six-month high.”

Source: Twitter

“In the 30-day window prior to the halving, the word “halving” appears to be dominant in the conversations, regarding Bitcoin,” Frank added.

Google searches for “bitcoin halving also increased four times, as opposed to the 2016 halving event.

However, most crypto enthusiasts believed Bitcoin would record double, or even triple-digit price increase, due to the halving. The short rally proved them wrong, but many consider the real price surge to start in the following 18 to 24 months. Historically, Bitcoin showed an initial decrease in value before skyrocketing in both price and trading volumes.

The halving event drove an increase in daily trading volumes in the month before the reward cut. However, trading volumes have increased 50 times since the last halving in 2016. Spot market volumes received a boost from a peak of $1,5 billion in June 2016, and it was close to $30 billion in April 2020.

Nevertheless, market players are still stagnant about making strong predictions about Bitcoin’s future price, as this time it would take longer for the market to gain from the bullish momentum the halving created.

One of the most significant events in the crypto world has occurred today.🎉🎉🎉 Bitcoin went through the third in its history Halving ⚡️ The block reward reduced from 12.5 BTC to 6.25 BTC.
