[Weekly Report]LivesOne will keep pace with the times

Dear friends of LivesOne,

Two weeks ago, we mentioned Xinhua news about "The Chinese leadership held the 18th collective learning on the development status and trend of blockchain technology ". On November 7, China Daily reported that China will take blockchain technology as an important breakthrough in independent innovation, and will accelerate the development of blockchain technology and industrial innovation.

This news not only caused great response in the domestic blockchain industry, but also caused a huge storm in the international market with related media attention.

NASDAQ website reported “The greater cryptocurrency and distributed ledger community interpreted this embrace as a positive, noting that approval from China’s government will speed adoption and development of the technology.” Meanwhile, it also pointed out “The Chinese Central Bank is also reportedly testing a state-backed crypto asset (DCEP). If and when this asset is revealed to the public, it could have a huge impact on the cryptocurrency space worldwide. It would mark the first fiat digital currency product from a leading world economy and could very well motivate other governments around the world to launch digital currencies of their own.”

https://preview.redd.it/iz8c4zmw9ey31.png?width=1199&format=png&auto=webp&s=5b55bad472effa5683594154e4361ee593c439af

It is consistent with LivesOne's view on the development of China's blockchain regarding China’s crypto asset is “the first fiat digital currency product from a leading world economy”. While everyone is talking about it, let's talk about the way LivesOne has been sticking to.

LivesOne always believes that the core of the blockchain is the application scenario. It solves the problems of authenticity and security in the traditional Internet model. Blockchain technology can improve ability of password anti-deciphering and prevent records from being tampered with.

We learnt that early blockchains, including Bitcoin, are experiments on this new technology. The core of the blockchain is the application scenario. The translation of “Token” in Chinese is not “Coin”, but a proof of stake. Without the scenario, the "Token" is worthless. It can be said that all the current coins are actually a "Point" that can be circulated and traded. The real "Coin" must be from the official promotion.

From the beginning, LivesOne decided to do the circulation of "Token". Just like when banks start to support online payment, they open their own gateways. If merchants and users are connected with gateways of different banks one by one, it will make it harder to make online payments universal. China leads the world in online payment and mobile payment, because there are enough excellent three-party payment tools in China.

LivesOne will be a third-party payment tool for cryptocurrencies. Each currency or chain is the equal of a separate bank. LivesOne will connect these "banks" for developers and merchants to use.

Therefore, LivesOne will be focus on three points.

First, follow up the development of blockchain technology and continuously improve the underlying security technology. LivesOne will invest heavily in human and material resources in this field to provide a stable and secure payment environment for users.

Second, improve the payment interface according to different public chains and application scenarios. Gradually perfect the interface support of the mainstream cryptocurrencies (such as BTC / eth / BSV..., and the multi-currency fast compatible interface mode.)

Third, attract more developers and applicators to join the community, and promote the universal interface of cryptocurrencies in the direction of games, content, e-commerce and social etc all over the world.

Many proponents may have a question. How will the value of LVTC be reflected?

As mentioned above, the "Token" is a proof of stake, so LVTC is LivesOne's certificate of interest, which will be used to evaluate the integrity of developers, merchants and payee users. In this system, we will waive all service fees for the payers, and the payee (interface user will deduct LVTC according to his credit level and protocol type. That is, the lower the credit rating, the more LVTC will be deducted, and the higher the credit rating, the smaller the amount of LVTC will be deducted. Users who use the interface to pay for any cryptocurrency will be rewarded LVTC.)

In short, the payee will pay LVTC to the system as a proof of good faith in each payment, and the payer will receive LVTC award as a contributor. In addition, LVTC will gradually expand a variety of financial services as a "Token" in the LivesOne community.

A series of events have proved that LivesOne has chosen the right route. As long as it keeps going steadily and keeps up with the pace of the times, the future will be better. Let us look forward to it together.

The LIES of Chris Rabalais and AllSportsMarket

https://i.imgur.com/RKTfgT3.jpg

A) This is a work in progress. (trying to make this neater and add things that people post)

B) Any corrections please send a message and reference the lie number

C) If you'd like me to add a lie, PLEASE make a post in this thread! Include something like ADD THIS LIE and make a short description

d) ASM /Allsportsmarket / the company means all of the proxies and identities of CWH , NSEI, Sportshares.net etc

------------------------------------

A while back, Chris claimed people on reddit were lying and that he would respond "point by point" to any "lies" told by redditors. I have begun to compile a list of all of Chris' lies.

To Chris Rabalais / Allsportsmarket.com : You are more than welcome to respond "point by point". Please include a lie number...and respond and explain how it isn't a lie....

---

Lies of Chris Rabalais

1) This would be an investment

He has always claimed this was an investment, and still does. He calims you will get a return...yet from the otherside of his mouth, he makes sure to mention that this is a "donation." Not one of us would have donated to him without the chance of a return / profit. None of us. This was a donation....to Chris Rabalais...NOT an investment.

2) Investors into ASM would get a return on their investment -- profit from it

He is still promising people a return...many people show a 'profit' on their account statement but are unable to cash out. Unable to withdraw etc...Chances are, If you have amde a "profit" from this on paper, you cannot withdraw it.

3) He was in the process of registering the company shares with the SEC

The SEC has stated point blank he has taken NO STEPS to register the company shares. It is in the complaint.

4) The company shares were ABOUT to be registered, and once they did...they would have even more value and we would miss out unless we bought in

Not only did he say it was in process, he claimed amny times they were very close to getting the sdhares registeredand when they did, they would have more value..and we would be sorry if we didnt jump in on this "rocketship".

5) Chris knows how to get the shares registered with the SEC or has any clue what he is doing in terms of registering the shares

According to the SEC , Chris Rabalais has no idea HOW to ven get the shares registered...and that is in their complait as well. Meanwhile for years chris was claiming he knew what do do to get the shares registered.

6) "This may be the last chance to jump on this great opportunity"

How many times have we all heard this lie? This or that program is ending....youll never get another chance at giving money to Chris Rabalais again...but then shockingly...theres another even better offer in a couple days/weeks...

7) If you don't give X amount of money right now , the lights might suddenly go out on ASM..and youll lose your "investment"

Another lie thjey tell is that if you don't give money, they will go out of business and you will "lose your investment".Bullcrap,theyre not shutting off their free money machine....until someone MAKES them. Oh and yo have no investment. Two lies for the price of one.

8) This is not a ponzi scheme

Chris has addressed the ponzi issue only VERY briefly over the years. He recently claimed it isn't a ponzi because the "last guy in can still make money" but that would require MONEY coming in from others...so he gets around the truth by omitting that its not the "guy" its the "last money in " which is nearly the same thing... the people who put their money in last will lose....that is a ponzi. The Judge in the seth leon case said so...and I hope another judge says so soon.

9) The sports shares have value

Chris claims they have value because they area "claim on future dividends" which is a lie. That is not any defintion of real or intrinsic value...and even if it was (it isnt) the claim on future dividends is a LIE because evcery penny of that future dividend money relies on new money coming into the market...which is a ponzi.

10) You would be able to cash out (sell your holdings, pay off your bonus margin and keep your profits)

He changed the rules when the market started imploding. For years he promised investors they could sell their shares, pay off our margin and take our profits. No one wouldve bought in if they thought they could never do this. Even after he froze people's ability to cash out...he kept claiming that we would be able to soon...and urged people to buy more margin because all of the profits would be able to be kept.

11) Chris would stop selling margin

Recently, there was a conference call where key members of the team called for an end to the margin offers..NOT because they were a scam (they are) but because it was no longer possible to ignore the implosion of the pilot market and the collapse was being blamed on margin....Chris agreed to end margin and made announcements to this end. In a short time, he realized that promising people money on margin profit was his only revenue...so he HAD to start selling margin again...He knows it is worthless, promised to stop selling it....and lied.

12) Different celebrities, politicians, buisiness people were about to come on board and help us

Roger goddell, SNoop Dogg, Brian Austin Green, Trump (speaker at zero club), Labron James, meetings with MLB people...god knows how many other names this guy drops as potential people who are going to help orwho we are 'reaching out' to in order to get them to help us.

13) we would have a "liquidity event" and be able to make money off of our company shares

There was going to be some liquidity event where we could sell our company shares to other investors...

14) The new york times ad was going to be about ASM or helping our investment

There was NO MENTION of ASM or AllSportsMarket in the new york times ad and it didn't do a single thing to help ASM become a legitimate company. The only thing it did (from memory) was bash gambling.

15) The trips to Israel, funded by the investors, were something worthy of doing with the money...

Chris bragged and posted pictures of his trips to Israel...but what did they have to do with ASM? How was spending "donations" (investments) for him to go to Israel supposed to help the company?

16) the Hero club events he goes to (more travel) help ASM in any way whatsoever

I have never seen any evidence that spending who knows how much of the investors' money has been wasted on this,yet chris continues to act as if his membership in the Hero Club is a wise way to spend money...

17) donating to ASM is helping anyone or doing anything other than putting money in HIS pocket...

Quite simply, Chris "donates" 10% of the money given him, if we are to believe that. So He as given (according to hom) 150k to a hunger charity. They jhave (according to Chris) matches this 7x, so the 150k donation has turned into a millionish dollars worth of charity. Sounds good right? Well in doing so, Chris has just wasted 90% of the money. Instead of 150k, had we all simply given our 1.5 million to this same charity....and they matched it 7x...we would have turned our money into 10+ million dollars for charity. So essentially, even by Chris' own numbers...we have wasted 9 million dollars of potential charity....by paying Chris's rent..cars etc.. all so that he can take 90% and give 10% to charity....

18) The ASM 'real market' was a real money market

Chris started the real market to fool us into thinking it was actual money. He later then chamged the name to "pilot market" after taking people's REAL money..so he could have the excuse "HEY this is a PILOT market!!!" when you cant withdraw...

19) the ASM pilot market was going to transition with your holdings to a 'regulated' or 'exempt market' and you would be able to keep your profit from the pilot market

So it has been promised to us that the pilot (which was the real market) market will transition to another market..where.....where youll STILL be able to keep your profits...so..guys..KEEP BUYING BONUS MARGIN lol....

20) If there is a good enough plan, Chris will happily step down in January 2020 and let someone else change the direction of the "company"

Chris claims "give him till december" and if no one is happy he will step aside if thats what everyone wants...IF there is a plan he likes..LOL

21) The pilot market is working

He has claimed the pilot market is working and proves that ASM is functional...yet the market has collapsed and he hasd frozen everyone's accounts from withdrawing..or paying off margin..etc...

22) The learning market is working and proves that the math and numbers are correct and functional

Claims have been made the learning market is working..LOL...anyone who has touched the learning market knows it is completely dysfunctional.

23) Bonus margin has some sort of value other than to put money in his pocket

He claims bonus margin has value. It doesn't. Its worthless. If he tries to deny this..ask him why he is selling it ifit has no value? Ask him how he plans on turning something with 0 value into something with value. This is the core of his scam right now..selling WORTHLESS bonus margin with no value for real money...

24) Chris "had alper" double check the math in 2009 , and the market math is fine..

Oh god...so in one of the videos, Chris claims he had Alper check the math in 2009 and alper told hiim the numbers work. This is such utter horseshit, and mainly designed to deflect responsibilty for the failure of the market..so he can bame it on ALper. Chris knows the math doesnt work. Alper knows the math doesnt work..and Alper & Chris know that margin is worthless.

25) special clubs like "ASM Black", "Insider programs", "Advisory Councils" etc etc are anything other than him trying to get even more money out of your pocket

All of these programs are just designed to get you to give them more oney..there is no benefit to them. The insider program just basically stopped people from being able to withdraw sooner....who knows what ASM black was..and this advisory council...what was that? Give chris 100$ to listen to more youtube rants? Ok...whatever new club or council they will come up with next is a bunch of crap designed to make you feel special as you give them your hard earned money.

26) The NDA he sent via email before spamming you with more ads is legally binding

We all know the NDA he sent via e-mail was worthless..it was hillarious.....and unenforcebale....

27) They would provide us with financial documents / audit / detailed information at the end of October 2019

Yeah so will we ever get to see the "audit" ? Doubt it...

28) The SEC filing suit against him could be viewed as a positive in some ways

I forget how he worded it but he basically claimed the SEC suit was some sort of oppprtunity for something positive for him. The one positive thing I can think of is it stopped him from getting more money from suckers...

29) He didnt "really" lose the case against Seth Leon

He made all kinds of excuses and claims the only reason he lost against Seth Leon is because Seth Leon sent the papers to an old address....LOL

30) It was Trump's fault (Govt shutdown) that he didnt get paperwork done with the SEC

LOL...I hope this is what he tells the Judge

31) It was Jason's fault that "a letter" wasn't sent to the SEC regarding the NRHL

Blame it on a guy who doesn't work for the company any more...

32) It is alper's fault the math/numbers don't work because Chris asked alper to "check the numbers" in 2009

Blame this on Alper.....when he has known for YEARS the numbers do not work

33) there were "sabateurs" who tried to wreck the "deal" with NRHL, who came from reddit..*but luckily they saved the deal!

Remember the sabateurs? remember how they "saved" the deal with the NRHL? Remember how the NRHL was going to be huge for ASM? Yeah none of these things were true....MAYBE a guy (gregson?) tried to cntact the NRHL to find out if they were evcen real.. but NO ONE thought the NRHL was going to be a good thing..and NO ONE wanted to transition their money to a market led by roller derby..because it was and is a stupid idea.

34) There were lawyers (zero club? friends?) who were going to help with the SEC defense for free Chris had an army of lawyers, some of the best in the country and who had never lost...but yet he had to beg the court for a free lawyer because he can't get a lawyer to represent him...LOL

35) "secured by blockchain" - Chris claims this tech is in use now but what is it exactly other than bullshit?

On one of his latest videos he claims the blockchain technology is protecting the ASM market right now...BS. There is no technology. There hasn't been anything said about what this even is or does. Ace hasn't even been heard from since around AUgust has he? They can't even get an android app...the blockchain bullshit is just more jargon and buzzwords...trying to get you to give them money...there is nothing behind this "secured by blockchain" trademark.

36) Chris is going to countersue the SEC and prove that he is a legitimate buisiness

LOL.. with his free lawyer?

37) All cryptocurrencies are a SCAM

Notice he screams and cries FRAUD at many things, but he is a fraud himself. Typical tactic...accuse others of what you are doing.Also, there is some real value in some cryptos, like bitcoin...unlike a sports share on ASM. Its called 'proof of work' ...that has real value that can even be measured..by electricity use, processing power etc...I am not arguing it has a lot of value, or even that it is as valuable as the price....but it is above zero, unlike a share in a sports team on ASM. I'm also not an expert nor to I condone investing in crypto...

38) Gambling is more of a problem than ASM / NSEI

Again, he screams and cries about how dirty Gambling is...but at least legal gambling is regulated, and you have a chance to win. Unlike ASM...

39) They were working on an Android app , and needed donations for it

One of the reasons I donated early on was because of seeing the IOS app, and the promises of making an android app.In fairness this might not have been a lie....but if theyre not going to make an android app , then say so.

41) They lied by omission and did not tell investors about the SEC suit until August 2019

So someone else came and announced the SEC lawsuit on the reddit forum in August 2019. There is some strong evidence that Chris knew about this in April 2019 or even earlier like maybe Oct 2018.

Cross-chain Explained: UX strategy

https://preview.redd.it/f7o3fewcfay31.png?width=1600&format=png&auto=webp&s=6f067014fcf69e094434f7c3b2c98af3ad14be64

What is cross-chain?

If you are reading this article, the chances are you already know what are ETH and BTC. You might even own some of them. But do you know that, ETH and BTC belong to two independent ecosystems? The two ecosystems are completely different with no connectivity. Just like two countries located in different parts of the world. To go from one to another, you need to take an airplane. Sounds easy right? You just need to build an airplane to cross these two chains. Wrong.

Comparing to centralized exchange (CEX), there are so much more technical barriers for decentralized exchange (DEX) to overcome. How’s that? In general, when you trade on a CEX, your tokens are not actually exchanged to the counterparty. It’s simply an alteration of numbers by the CEX. You still get the tokens you want but the problem is, the whole process is done behind the scenes along with the risk of being manipulated and the risk of losing your tokens. However, when trading on a DEX with cross-chain technology,

  • you own and control your wallet,
  • full transparency and on-chain,
  • higher security as tokens are actually exchanged.

The biggest challenge for DEX to resolve cross-chain issue is particularly “how to actually exchange one token from ecosystem A to ecosystem B”. At DINNGO, we resolve all the technical difficulties and design an intuitive user experience. Most people do not understand cross-chain technology or do not appreciate the value of it. Therefore, a good design can improve visual feedback and further simplify the experience. After dismissing the geeky interface, an average user can easily learn the true value and the ethos of the blockchain. Below we share our path of designing the new cross-chain solution — Portus.

Starting with research

1. Become the pioneer

Simplicity has always been the fundamental principle of DINNGO’s design. We want to make it easy for people to get into blockchain. So easy that even grandmom know how to use. We want to provide an experience that is effortless to onboard, visually pleasant and easy to use. When we started developing cross-chain function, we first studied every bitcoin wallet in the market and conducted product analysis to come up with a cross-chain wallet solution. Then we moved on to competitive product analysis to review all other products on the market that are also trying to find cross-chain solutions in blockchain industry. This is the time when we realized that we are the pioneer in the market. For example, one of the cross-chain solutions is Atomic Swap, which provides a one way or two ways fixed price swapping service. With Atomic Swap, the price is inalterable, which means you can not set up the price you want, and it does not provide visualize charts or order book.

(Competitor Product Research)

Very few DEXs that support cross-chain features provide charts and even so, they only show you the charts of a fixed price swapping history without order book features. Most of them are crypto-pegged tokens, namely they are backed by the native coin in reserve and issue the pegged tokens on their chain. It is not actually decentralized. Believe it or not, until this day, no one has ever built a solution to achieve interoperability in the present market.

What you can expect from Portus cross-chain trading:

  • Setting up order price as you wish
  • An order book list of buy and sell orders
  • Userful candlestick charting
  • Physical exchange between BTC and ETH
  • Decentralized exchange model
  • Executing directly from your wallet

(Competitor Product Analysis)

2. Viability

After a thorough analysis, we decided to choose private key approach for bitcoin wallet integration as our Minimum Viable Product (MVP). Here is why:

Majority of bitcoin wallets are designed to sign UTxO (Unspent Transaction Output) from P2PKH (Pay to Public Key Hash), P2WPKH (Pay to Witness Public Key Hash), P2SH (Pay to Script Hash) or P2WSH (Pay 2 Witness Script Hash). Considering the implementation of atomic swap will complicate the process of trading bitcoin, we decided to design a simple interface for users to manage their bitcoin wallets as our MVP. With the private key approach, we can increase the flexibility and capability of processing different scripts. In a nutshell, users are able to maintain ownership and security of their funds while using an unprecedentedly new technology.

Mapping out different user scenarios

1. Simplify users main purpose

Users only explore the matters that they care. How do we know what they are trying to get? Or maybe they are just looking? The point is, we need to let users know what they can do with the product. So how do we achieve that? We focus on conversion rate and user behaviors. We build mental models for different types of users to understand their thought process. Through research → assumption → interview → prototype → analysis → design, we consolidate all the information to have a clear picture of user experience. We design the processes and conversation to guide users. During the development, we always review our interface to see if there is any unintended implication. We ask ourselves:

  • How do we guide users altering their inputs to meet their needs.
  • How do we let users know that they have already registered an account with us?
  • How do we let users know that they are logged in?
  • How do we let users know that their wallet is not connected?
  • How do we let users know the type of wallet they are currently using?

2. Categorize user journey map

We built user journey map from users perspective, from start to finish. By mapping out user behaviors and expectations at each stage, we are able to have a bird’s eye view of users as well as the close-up perspective. With that information, we can design a better user experience thus enhancing journey completion rate. Below is an example of user journey maps in different stages:

  • User Journey Map of first time visit users: Onboarding → Sign up → Connect Wallet → Trade
  • User Journey Map of users trading on Ethereum network: Log in → Connect Ethereum Wallet → Trade
  • User Journey Map of users trading through cross-chain solution: Log in → Connect Ethereum Wallet → Connect Bitcoin Wallet → cross-chain trading

(provide informative message to guide users)

When you provide a clear structure and combine it with all necessary information, users can then easily and efficiently complete the necessary tasks to achieve their goal.

Good Wallet Experience

1. Ethereum Strategy

After finalizing the experience prioritization, we decided to onboard users to connect ethereum wallets first and then bitcoin wallet later since DINNGO Exchange is built on top of Ethereum Network and around 94% of cryptocurrencies are ERC-20 token. Besides, the bitcoin wallet integration has a high dependency on the onboarding interface designed to connect Ethereum wallets. Since our Ethereum wallet integration is designed with an iterative approach, it is flexible enough to make further modification. According to our user observation and quantitative data, it reveals that our current UI layout has delivered an efficient onboarding process for users. Therefore, we made just a little modification to maintain the original usability and to soften the learning curve.

(Goal completion rate and frequency)

2. Usability programme

After considering numerous user flow and scenarios, we arrange necessary and precise visual hints everywhere guiding the users to the next step. For example, after users connecting to our Ethereum wallet, they will see a Bitcoin icon next to Ethereum icon as a reminder of connecting Bitcoin wallet.

See some details of our design below:

  • All wallet integration interface has only one single radio button. Just need one click. This way we decrease the number of clicks and make user journey much easier.

(pop-up windows of wallet integration)

  • Loading animation inside buttons. Animation can reduce users’ perception of time, keeping users engaged before the process is fully loaded. We want users to feel like things are responsive and the action is processing while they wait.

(animation of processing)

  • Error messages when entering incorrect password/private key/number. There are two types of error messages — systematic errors and validation errors. An effective error message is best to be placed near the field, especially to the right or beneath the field.

(error message)

  • Alert message for all the information you need. Once you connect your wallet, you will receive a notification informing you what you need to do.

(Hover effect to reminder users)

In summary

We are very pleased to share how we design Portus. Upon achieving market adoption, we will add more features. If you have any suggestions for a better user experience, please do not hesitate to share with us.

Ferrum Network Community Update — November 10, 2019

Dear Community,

November 2019 has started off with a bang! With a PCHAIN partnership, FRM staking, AMAs and a big Kudi update, we are thrilled recap it all for you.

Before we get started, some may have noticed we changed the name from “weekly update” to “community update”. The reality is, despite our best efforts, it was just too difficult to consistently publish a weekly update due to the fact the entire team is extremely busy.

Nevertheless, we will continue to publish consistent updates (2–3 a month) including an end-of-month video recap so you can stay abreast of our progress.

Here is some of what we have been to since the start of November

Business Update

  • Announced our partnership with PCHAIN, a prominent Chinese project, to help expand our presence into China and assist with the launch of the Chinese version of UniFyre Wallet;
  • Announced FRM Staking with our three staking tiers Gold (10%+), Platinum (30%+) and Diamond (50%+);
  • Held an AMA with our friends at Cryptoverse;
  • Began an aggressive marketing campaign with more AMAs, influencers, and community-driven social media to get everyone excited about FRM Staking!

Tech Update

Aside from finalizing our staking mechanism, the dev team has been hard at work with a critical Kudi update.

  • As of November 10, 2019, internal mainnet staking testing is ongoing;
  • We pushed a major update to Kudi that allows all our users to obtain a bank account with the push of a button! More on this soon…

https://preview.redd.it/kqc5561eu9y31.png?width=770&format=png&auto=webp&s=7ee7144d77503861bd1c36f4b448747c877e3dfa

  • Continued to build the backend technology that will support UniFyre Wallet.

Kudi Update

The Kudi team on the ground in Lagos continues to make significant progress.

  • Launched the “Kash and Kudi” program so users can receive rewards for using the app at local merchants
  • Launched our Referral Program that gives users rewards in BTC just for referring their friends and family!
  • Published the recap of the most recent Kudi Event at the Obuja Blockchain Conference
  • First Kudi Rebrand is underway. This should be concluded before the end of the year.
  • Video coverage for all events we organized so far is in production.
  • Apple IOS application has been submitted and is pending. We are hoping to conclude that as soon as possible.

What’s Next

As we charge through November you’ll be seeing a lot more AMAs, announcements, and exciting developments from the Ferrum and Kudi teams.

Thank you all for your continued support of Ferrum Network. We are really excited to be on this journey with you.

Very truly yours,

The Ferrum Network Team

Best How To run a full Bitcoin node?

Hello r/Bitcoin,

What is (in your opinion) the best how to guide on running a bitcoin node.

Of course people have different time preferences and goals but maybe we can generate a list ranging from options of lowest to highest time preferences.

If you could provide a link with a description of why you think its so good then that would be great.

Bonus points if you get it in more than language.

The original post's content was as follows:

Just wanted to let you guys know that I'm successfully running a (pruned) Bitcoin node + TOR on a $11.99 single board computer (Rock Pi S).

The SBC contains a Rockchip RK3308 Quad A35 64bit processor, 512MB RAM, RJ45 Ethernet and USB2 port and I'm using a 64GB SDCard. It runs a version of Armbian (410MB free). There's a new version available that even gives you 480MB RAM, but I'm waiting for Bitcoin Core 0.19 before upgrading.

To speed things up I decided to run Bitcoin Core on a more powerful device to sync the whole blockchain to an external HDD. After that I made a copy and ran it in pruned mode to end up with the last 5GB of the blockchain. I copied the data to the SD card and ran it on the Rock Pi S. After verifying all blocks it runs very smoothly. Uptime at the moment is 15 days.

I guess you could run a full node as well if you put in a 512GB SDcard.

The Rock Pi S was sold out, but if anybody is interested, they started selling a new batch of Rock Pi S v1.2 from today.

Some links and a short How to for people that want to give it a try:

  1. This is the place where I bought the Rock Pi S.
  2. Here you find more information about Armbian on the Rock Pi S. Flash it to your SDCard. Follow these instructions.
  3. Disable ZRAM swap on Armbian. If you don't do this eventually Bitcoin Core will crash.
    nano /etc/default/armbian-zram-config
    ENABLED=false
  4. Enable SWAP on Armbian
    sudo fallocate -l 1G /swapfile
    sudo chmod 600 /swapfile
    sudo mkswap /swapfile
    sudo swapon /swapfile
    sudo swapon --show
    sudo cp /etc/fstab /etc/fstab.bak
    echo '/swapfile none swap sw 0 0' | sudo tee -a /etc/fstab
  5. Set up UFW Firewall
    sudo ufw default deny incoming
    sudo ufw default allow outgoing
    sudo ufw allow ssh # we want to allow ssh connections or else we won’t be able to login.
    sudo ufw allow 8333 # port 8333 is used for bitcoin nodes
    sudo ufw allow 9051 # port 9051 is used for tor
    sudo ufw logging on
    sudo ufw enable
    sudo ufw status
  6. Add user Satoshi so you don't run the Bitcoin Core as root
    sudo adduser satoshi --home /home/satoshi --disabled-login
    sudo passwd satoshi # change passwd
    sudo usermod -aG sudo satoshi # add user to sudo group
  7. Download (ARM64 version) and install Bitcoin Core Daemon
  8. Download and install TOR (optional). I followed two guides. This one and this one.
  9. Create a bitcoin.conf config file in the .bitcoin directory. Mine looks like this:
    daemon=1
    prune=5000
    dbcache=300
    maxmempool=250
    onlynet=onion
    proxy=127.0.0.1:9050
    bind=127.0.0.1

    addnode=7g7j54btiaxhtsiy.onion
    ddnode=a6obdgzn67l7exu3.onion
  10. Start Bitcoin Daemon with the command bitcoind -listenonion

Please note that I'm not a professional. So if anything above is not 100% correct, let me know and I will change it, but this is my setup at the moment.
