Salutations, salamanders!
First off, I want to give a HUGE thank you to everyone who wished me well during a time of sickness. I felt so much healing energy and love from this community. There's no doubt in my mind this helped me overcome whatever plagued me last Wednesday. Thankfully, I was able to get over the actual sickness of the bug in 24 hours or so, but my blood sugar was on a rollercoaster for a few days after which makes my everyday routine a bit more challenging to say the least. I appreciate y'alls patience and understanding more than you can even understand.
I'm often hard on myself when it comes to shipping orders, promises to release certain things and have all my goals on track, but sometimes life has other plans! Every day last week, I was getting messages telling me to get better, not rush and take it easy! Something I really need to work on as far as listening and not always doing. I do it because of love and passion, not because I feel a need to, but sometimes I get ahead of myself and just don't stop. This forced break was definitely a sign to slow down and enjoy the process. All the highs AND the lows. All the beautiful hella productive days and the ones that don't seem to go according to plan. All of these days are equally beautiful, and I'm truly grateful for the intervention of the universe to allow me to appreciate the slow down times, and coming out of it, my health. I've been blessed with incredibly good health while doing this gig, and since 2018, have only had two sick days, both of which came when I felt like I was running too hard and trying to accomplish too much. Coincidence? I say nah.
The timing of such events have allowed me to put a lot into perspective, calm down a bit and properly prepare for some exciting things to come. And it really couldn't have come at a better time too, as I have a gentleman and a scholar staying with me to help prepare for the upcoming awesomeness! I've been talking about some super secret new things coming and it's just about here! The first WW post of the year on January 4th will have a boat load of cool things that we can all benefit from and has been super fun on my end learning, improving and perfecting over the last 6 months.
Before I keep rambling on about the wonderfulness of life and it's lessons, I wanted to make my annual cringe USPS announcement. Each year around this time, the postal service gets wonky. Almost all of the orders I shipped on Monday had inaccurate tracking info, where they show shipped from some state besides TX, and delivered to an equally strange location. These were the tracking numbers that I purchased and were generated by USPS inaccurately. I'm sorry for anyone who isn't able to properly track your order, but I assure you it is on the way and should land within the next couple days! When I saw this error, I actually tracked down my local post man (who is incredibly awesome) and had him scan a few to take a look. He confirmed they were valid labels and would make it to their destination, despite having bunk info in their system. FURTHERMORE (love that word...just sounds fancy), I checked my PO box 30 minutes ago just to double check and had not a single returned package from what was shipped, and I've heard back from two lads saying their order touched down today. They're doing their best with all the holiday shipping, mates. Give em a couple weeks and we should be back to normal!
Speaking of shipping woes, I will be out of town starting next Wednesday December 22, through the end of the year. Back to the homeland to spend some quality time with the parents! I'll tell them you said hi. Ze shop shall remain open during this time, but all orders placed after December 22 will ship out on Tuesday, January 3rd (USPS closed on the 2nd).
I was a little stumped for trivia today, so I did a quick Goog for today's date to see if anything interesting popped up. The first thing I read said the December 14th horoscope predicts that I love hanging out with friends. Crazy how accurate those horoscopes are these days. Hope all you elves and reindeer get some quality time with your family and friends this holiday season!
