Got my BTC full node, LN node on RP set up! Thanks to /u/stadicus!
A week ago I got a RP and began trying to set up a full node with LN on it (https://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/aahje7/setting_up_a_bitcoin_node_ln_node_for_raspberry_pi/). Using /u/stadicus great guide, I finally have it up and running! For any who want to connect this is me:

In Defense of Bitcoin as the sole currency of crypto
"In Defense of Bitcoin as the sole currency of crypto"
“United we stand, divided we fall.” I’m speaking of the esteemed, but vilified “Bitcoin maximalist” or perhaps better denoted as “Bitcoin extreme probablist.” In recent days we have seen fresh controversy over the place of “alternate” currencies in the cryptosphere, and why it’s both critical and likely for Bitcoin to maintain the role as the premier and only crypto that is a currency.
[Not can, there will most likely be only one]
-Free market inclination towards not in instead of:
Some say it is “against the free market!” to suggest Bitcoin will be the only coin left standing after the dust settles from this bear market and speculators slink back into their traditional commodities. I submit the counter, the “maximalist” sees a future where Bitcoin stands its ground in a free market, and battles with historic trends and logical determination to once again prove itself the undisputed champion.
[If you’re going to strike the king, make sure you kill him]
-Economic network effect
When a currency becomes the standard i.e. the most stable, secure store of value, the natural inclination will be to use that currency. Bitcoin right now is the most robust currency with this distinguishment. With further utility and adoption, this will become more pronounced as users gravitate to this “ideal” choice. If you held the USD and could transact globally with one currency, why would you choose another? Bitcoin is not “gold” as we know it, but digital gold. It’s a unit of account of Satoshis, both for store of value and spending. If I received an alternate currency, and I was interested in maintaining value, I would sell it to, or demand payment in, this unit. Bitcoin is inherently Extra-governmental, decentralized, censorship-resistant and not beholden to a State for transactability. In the remote event of a State’s limitation (with attempted enforcement,) if they did accept any crypto, they would also accept Bitcoin. This completes the cycle of alternate to primary store of value to preserve wealth.
[All coins lead to bitcoin]
-Digital Scarcity
A currency is sound, in part, when it is free from counterfeit. With unsecure chains that exist solely to emulate Bitcoin’s code and will more coins into existence, that not only undermines the value proposition, but the entire ecosystem. The same as if you were to mine an asteroid for Gold and increase its supply 1 million-fold- The lack of something easily replicable, and limited in supply imparts value. If everyone has 1 bitcoin, no one has 1 bitcoin.
[We can’t all be rich on bitcoin- that’s the point.]
-Re-writing 10 years of experiment
If Litecoin were to take off, it would have to re-write 10 years of dominance and vastly separate itself in terms of code, value proposition, and technology. Unfortunately, what we know, is that it has had a birth-to-present history of “borrowing” code, and technological prospects from Bitcoin.
[Litecoin is same as bitcoin but behind in use-case]
-So goes bitcoin, so goes the crypto
Because of the Network effect, and the first-to-market experiment of Bitcoin, what we see in every recent market undulation that bitcoin goes up, the market lifts more. Bitcoin goes down, the market falls harder. Bitcoin is both the flagship and the buoy of our progress towards an open, decentralized, censorship-resistant world, financially. In a world where bitcoin fails as a store of value, it is unlikely any would muster the confidence as its replacement.
[Bitcoin fails, crypto is extinct]
"Bitcoin rises all ships" but for how long? After you stack your bags with "alts" what do you do next? Sell back for bitcoin. This marks the entire space negatively with exclaims that bitcoin and all crypto are “scams” and “pump and dumps.” For every seller, there is a buyer. What if we recognized this for what it is, and instead, constructively rallied to Bitcoin’s cause?
[My heart says multi-coin currency, but my brain says Bitcoin.]

My RaspiBlitz install stopped working, is now giving me grief - details below
A few weeks ago, just as Xmas madness was in full swing, my RasPi lightning setup (from these directions: https://github.com/rootzoll/raspiblitz) took a shit.
An error message was printing on the screen suggesting data corruption (sorry, don't recall exact message, but when I looked it up online, suggestions were to run fsck.
I took my drive, plugged it into my Ubuntu laptop, and ran fsck. It ran, I plugged the drive back in to the RaspPi and started it up.
- boots no problem
- shows normal status screen but with Public: Not Reachable and something red at the very bottom
- says Error 27(? <- # from mewory) synching if I go to terminal
So it needs to synch, no problem. I wait a few days but same message... something is wrong. Also it now wants me to re-input my wallet unlock password every time I try to do anything...
I was running version 0.93 so I ran the XXupdateScripts.sh thinking that might help...
Now I get the error on reboot of:
Starting the main menu ... ls: cannot access '/home/admin/raspiblitz.info': No such file or directory
WARNING: NO raspiblitz.info FOUND -> bootstrap not running?
So I can no longer get past the most basic startup...
I don't want to touch anything else since it appears I am breaking things... any ideas how to get moving again?
If I need to do a nuke/reinstall - is there a guide for recovering my bitcoin that I had in the wallet? Yes I have my cypher seed.

Trying to claim ANON from BTC priv key
I installed the official java desktop wallet, let it sync, then tried to import my private keys for BTC addresses containing BTC at the time of the fork (wallet->import one private key). It looks like it only accepts WIF compressed keys, so I converted the keys from WIFuncompressed to WIFcompressed but after importing I see 0 ANON.
Does it have something to do with me using uncompressed bitcoin public/private keys on the BTC chain?
Or do I have to manually claim ANON somehow first before they will be on the ANON chain?
They don't show up on any block explorer by searching for the addresses the desktop client created, so it isn't just a simple issue like being out of sync.
I looked around for guides on claiming, most pertain to ZCL, or require providing private keys to a web wallet. But I don't think that would help since again I don't see my coins on the block explorer after going from WIF-priv(uncompressed)->WIF-priv(compressed)->ANON-pub-address
Suggestions?

Life in prison without parole for Jun Scamegawa and Martin "Cancer Patient Fucker" Lam
Vitalik Buterin called out Craig S. Wright as a fraud, when are you going to call out the OmiseGO team that used your face, reputation, and name to promote their centralized payment processing company, along with the ruse of using blockchain, to grow money instead of VC funding?
Vitalik Buterin boldly, and rightfully so called out Craig Wright as Faketoshi back as a conference in March/April. Seeing now, that FraudmiseGO, has only accomplished expanding office workspace this year while delivering a shitty plasma dog flash game, trading on insider knowledge, and leveraging your name whenever possible to promote their (currently useless token), when will you be truthful in calling out these frauds?
I don't think its a coincidence that you haven't been seen with the OMG team since May 2018. A while back, you responded to one of my posts saying that you supported Jun's intentions in plasma development, but cautiously avoided commenting on their capabilities along with their claims.
My question for you at this point is, how is Craig S. Wright a fraud, yet you willingly stand next to a team that has market dumped in July from advisory shares, with each "advisor" receiving a lump sum of excess in over 6 figures of tokens, while not delivering anything of value, but dumping on the shared contribution of retail investors? Are you saying you can call out CSW as a fraud, but remain an advisor for a project that regularly trades on insider knowledge, paid advisors for their name, yet didn't do anything for the project, but "unbank the banked" in a literal sense?
Your close friend, since 2015 as he calls it, Jun Hasegawa has promised a rock year, the network for OMG launching soon, conglomerates, partners, all that jazz, but has only accomplished making himself, and a select few advisors who now have ghosted the project (Cough, Thomas "smokes too much weed" greco), a bunch of 20 year olds who didn't really do much at all, and very early presales wealthy. A very similar "management" style has been noted with Martin Lam, the man who has no tech background, was a Chinese briefcase watch salesman, and no direct value proposition for a token that is now at a 98.5% loss. In a AMA back in May, he said tx fees would be paid via staking the OMG network in elec tokens. However, come 12/31/18, he dumped the entire remaining stash of his personal collection, rendering the token completely worthless. It is no surprise that Martin "let me bam that secretary jam" Lam would do anything less as he has proven time and time again from both previous employees and lack of delivery, along with a useless asset would be any different. Two Asian scam artists who have gone into hiding, promoted nepotism, insider trading, and false grants via the Ethereum Community Fund, and hide in the depths of Asia as they systematically defrauded people globally. Keep spreading awareness, submit claims to both the Singapore and Thai equivalents of the SEC, and bring these slimy fucks into the spotlight so law enforcement can get these cockroaches to society out of the picture and behind bars.
Also, where's Poon, the supposed co-author of plasma in all of this? He's already onto his next project, Handshake, in which a bunch of bad actors from Cosmos, another shady company in the Ethereum Community Fund, publicly advertises as the "next bitcoin". Is this what all that ERC20 projects really were? How can you call yourself an advisor for a project based on decentralization, which has very obviously been used as a marketing ploy?
Jun and the core team, along with confirmed secretary banging, no tech background, token dumping, power pod vaporware bullshit, $30mm ICO heist, Martin Lam are nothing but embezzling , insider trading snake oil salesmen with no value to society, just like the sea of 99% ERC-20 tokens out there. The Ethereum Community Fund is also a fraternity of bad actors, which was even called out yesterday by the Auger founder as being a beacon for nepotism and foul play. Given Jun Scamegawa's involvement in this, its no surprise Electrify Asia has been a sponsor at previous events and received free marketing via their involvement.
https://cdn-images-1.medium.com/fit/t/1600/480/1*msuH9R8zRDzr57kHA1JnmQ.jpeg The three scammers sitting together earlier this year.

Do bitcoin-backed loans create taxable events?
I've been looking into crypto-backed loans provided by nexo.io and am wondering if anyone here knows whether taking out and/or repaying a bitcoin-backed loan on a platform like this would create a taxable event(s) in the eyes of the CRA?
I've seen at least one YT commentator assert that such loans do NOT create taxable events, as no cryto assets are bought/sold (only used as collateral), but that person is US-based so looking for some knowledgeable Canadian opinions. Thanks
