Bitmex guide (leveraged Bitcoin trading) in a form of an interview: a beginner asking an expert

Is Bitmex like Forex? How to trade BTC with 5x leverage?

What are the most common mistakes? It is very dangerous to learn that something is easy at Bitmex exchange, especially earning.

Here you will find a lot of clues on how to start with and learn about leveraged Bitcoin trading depositing $2. Bitmex has a demo platform to try but… the difference vs live account is so huge. I mean using a demo account you can double your deposit in an hour😊 as there are different prices and you just do easy arbitrage.

That’s why demo's profits can hurt you. It is better to sacrifice $2 to learn at live account trading with Satoshi. Many people start trading with $2000 or more what is a huge mistake. They just don’t know what they don’t know. Full interview here:

Bitcoin, Cryptocurrency Receive Recognition For Financial Impact Over Last Decade

Bitcoin (BTC), Cryptocurrency–While some have found nothing but dismay in cryptocurrency over 2018, as investors contend with an ongoing bear market for both Bitcoin and the general altcoin market, one financial outlet has managed to sing the praise of the industry.

Financial Times, one of the world’s leading publications on global business news, published a special report on Monday, October 1st dedicating a significant portion to an overview of cryptocurrency and calling the industry one of the most impactful developments to finance over the last ten years. While the report does single out cryptocurrency as one of the largest developments to come out of fintech and the financial industry in the past decade, the analysis does come with a backlash of criticism, particularly over the wild west nature of cryptocurrency exchanges and the overall lack of regulation at present.

Under the title, “Cryptocurrency exchanges must face up to responsibilities as they mature,” Financial Times examines whether the cryptocurrency industry will be able to integrate with growing government regulation, as well as how the overall industry will manage to stay resilient in the face of growing oversight and institutional interest–features that oppose the long-standing, decentralized values of the technology. Compared to the stock market, which operates under strict government regulations and enforced oversight, features that have been appealing to the trillions of dollars in capital controlled by investment banks, cryptocurrency exchanges and the general crypto-market have a looser appeal, one that has been able to generate substantial innovation in addition to a growing laundry list of fraud. The lack of centralization or governing authority has allowed for the experimental and open approach of the industry, however, the long-term outlook for such freedom appears to be in contention with the growing desire for institutional money and the presence of large-capital firms.

https://i.redd.it/f5h4ba7lgwp11.png

The report quotes opponents and proponents of both sides, with chief executive of the U.K. division on Coinbase, Zeeshan Feroz, stating that he believes the crypto markets will come to resemble the maturity and entrenched nature of the traditional investment market. However, others find fault in such premise, including Peter Randall of SETL, who doesn’t believe cryptocurrency will ever mirror that of Wall Street. Instead, Randall finds fault in the lack of liquidity in the crypto markets, and believes that it contributes to a absence of resilience necessary to sustain long-term growth.

Financial Times also goes in depth on the impact of Chicago-based proprietary and futures trading with the crypto markets, and how it is integrating and thriving despite the vast price volatility. Rob Sagurton of proprietary trading firm Jump Trading, claimed that his company was actively trading the more liquid cryptocurrencies, in addition to having a hand in the futures market.

While cryptocurrency still has a long ways to go before it receives the same level of recognition and adoption as the traditional investment market, 2018 has been a year of massive new developments. Despite the sheer drop off in valuation since the beginning of the year, cryptocurrency has managed to grow as an industry and find novel outlets for use. From IBM’s Stellar-backed payment platform, to PNC adopting Ripple technology for global payments, crypto has managed to thrive away from price speculation. Given that Financial Times listed cryptocurrency alongside such monumental historic events such as Brexit in shaping the financial industry over the last decade, it appears crypto is finally gaining the attention from a broader audience.

Head of the Maltese government believes that Bitcoin and blockchain are able to provide users with more financial and information freedom

📷Prime Minister of Malta Joseph Muscat, during his speech at the 73rd session of the UN General Assembly, has stated that cryptocurrencies will become the money of the future. The head of the Maltese government believes that Bitcoin and blockchain are able to provide users with more financial and information freedom, while blockchain technology helps filter good business from bad.

Blockchain will allow patients to truly own their medical records. Thanks to technology, emissions trading schemes can be brought to a new level. We can check whether humanitarian aid reaches its intended purpose, and also make sure that no one is deprived of their legal property because of the compromised data.

He added that the technology improves existing systems. That is why Malta is positioning itself as a “blockchain-island”. #blockchain #marketing #ico #btc #eth #crypto

XIN - Attack Resistance

Due to the PoS and distributed nature of both Kernel and Domain Nodes, and enforcement by Intel SGX, the keys are almost guaranteed to be safe from leaks. Because of the highly distributed key duplication and secret sharing mechanism, the encrypted private keys are also guaranteed to be safe from loss. Ideally, each asset should have many different distributed domains, these domains are governed by the Kernel and securely enforced by Intel SGX. The associated keys can only be accessed from where they were generated in the Domain, further improving the degree of protection. The Kernel will balance the assets in different Domains constantly to further prevent the asset loss in the event of an almost impossible private key leak or loss in different domains. We will prove that Mixin is safe for digital assets against different possible attack vectors. To simplify the explanation, only Bitcoin will be used as a sample.

Latest Red News

Happy Tuesday everyone!

I’d like to thank everyone who responded on-list and off to our questions about yourselves. It is a big help for us, because our goal is to make Red as responsive to your needs as possible. While our due date has passed, you can still send your responses to myself or Gregg privately, and I can add them to our sheets. Our set of questions is appended at the end of this update.

Usernames in this update are all Github usernames.

Last week in Red saw contributions from across the spectrum from our heavy hitters. In the midst of gearing up for Ethereum’s Devcon 4 in Prague at the end of October, a diverse number of elements are getting worked on:

  • @qxtie has added Trezor hardware support to the Red Wallet, in addition to the LedgerX hardware, a goodly chunk of work (see: here) as well as the ability to set up a batch of payments.
  • There is also new support provided for homebrew APIs for fetching balances, for those who DIY. This is still work in progress, but we’ll write it up in detail when it’s ready.
  • There has also been a lot of work done to add bitcoin support to the wallet, but bitcoin is messy, and we're still looking at whether it's worth including.
  • In Red specifically, a number of modifications have been made to work around MacOS issues, and extra attention paid to the GC/recycle facility, with fixes and tests from @dockimbel, @PeterWAWood, and @qxtie.
  • As for new issues, some GUI aberrations have been observed, related to the appearance of checkboxes and buttons. While not blue-screen-of-death critical, they have been flagged as bugs and will be addressed. Cross platform GUIs are hard, which is why so few do them.
  • Also, more cool demos from @toomasv, who built a protototype interactive GUI editor, and demoed it building a little live-code app.

In the community, some great discussion has been transpiring around the issue of Red’s mission: is it, or should it be, for “everyone” as our public-facing documentation states? And many folks have stated that while they generally don’t pay for software themselves, they WOULD be willing to shell out for a comprehensive book volume (chat is here) on the subject of Red. Tell us what you think!

Join the discussion at r/https://gitter.im/red/red.

If you will be at Ethereum DevCon 4, or in the general area of Prague during the first week of November, hit up @GreggIrwin or @dockimbel; they will be hosting a small, informal RedCon after the main Ethereum event. We’d love for you to be there.

Those community questions, again:

  1. Do you consider yourself a programmer?
  2. Do you consider yourself a software engineer?
  3. Do you solve business problems with software?
  4. What kind of problems do you solve?
  5. What other languages have you used?
  6. What is your favorite language, and why?
  7. Is "progammer" or "developer" in your job title?
  8. Do you think Red should be for "everyone" (e.g., like Visual Basic)?
  9. Do you want to use Red for real work, or just fun?
  10. What software do you pay for?

Keep the Red light burning!

  • According to a study by global professional services firm, Accenture, the semi-conductor industry is enjoying all-time high levels of bullish sentiment in regards to adoption in blockchain technology. A poll conducted as part of the study found that 88% of semi-conductor executives expect to integrate blockchain technology into their organization’s systems within the next 36 months. Blockchain technology’s ability to increase security while lowering costs and creating decentralization are the drivers of blockchain’s high adoption rate in the semi-conductor industry, per the study.
  • After getting hit with charges from US regulators, Bitcoin futures firm, 1Broker, said it will begin to allow users to access a “read only” version of its platform. The United States Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) brought charges against 1Broker for allegedly allowing US investors to trade on 1Broker’s platform. The “read only” version of 1Broker’s website will allow users to view their account balances and transaction history
  • At Ripple’s Swell conference on Monday, Ripple announced the official launch of its xRapid platform to handle international transactions. In the announcement, CEO Brad Garlinghouse detailed that Catalyst Corporate Federal Credit Union, Cuallix, and Mercury FX would be the first companies to implement the platform into day-to-day operations. XRapid will be used to facilitate international transactions with significantly higher transaction speeds and lower transaction costs.
  • Following a report by the Wall Street Journal that claims USD$9 million of “dirty money” had traded through cryptocurrency exchange, ShapeShift, CEO Erik Voorhees has refuted the claims. Voorhees details that ShapeShift had worked with Wall Street Journal reporters for about five months, but under “false pretenses”. Voorhees explained that ShapeShift has a strict internal anti-money laundering program that leverages “blockchain forensics that are far more advanced than asking someone for their ‘name and address’”.
  • In an official post on Medium.com, Block.one, the developer of blockchain protocol EOS, acknowledged claims of collusion between nodes. In the Medium.com post, CEO Brendan Blumer stated that the company is, “aware of some unverified claims regarding irregular block producer voting, and the subsequent denials of those claims.” Chinese crypto exchange, Huobi, is at the center of these claims after an alleged leaked spreadsheet surfaced from Huobi that contains a table titled, “node mutual voting table.”
  • Korea Investment Partners, South Korea’s largest venture capital firm, announced Tuesday that it has invested in its first blockchain startup, Temco. Temco seeks to leverage blockchain technology to revamp South Korea’s supply chain management system, specifically for small and medium sized businesses. Korea Investment Partners has a very strong reputation in South Korea with previous early-stage investments in several billion-dollar South Korean companies, including the nation’s largest search engine and the country’s largest mobile messaging application.
  • Kristoffer Inton, an equity analyst with Morningstar Research, stated in the Morningstar Minute research series that if Bitcoin did begin to replace gold as a safe haven asset, it would reprsent a “seismic shift” in the investment case for gold. Inton detailed that 40% of demand for gold comes from investors and a shift in this demand would be devastating to the price of gold. However, Inton does not believe digital assets like Bitcoin will replace Gold, as cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin did not score well on Morningstar’s framework for evaluating assets as stores of value.
  • MIOTA, the cryptocurrency behind the IOTA software, ended September as the worst performer of the top 25 coins by market cap with a September return of –23.21%. MIOTA ended August on a rally to USD$0.79 but slumped to a low of USD$0.50.
  • Philip Hammond, Great Britain’s Finance Minister, believes that blockchain technology may be the key to solving the issue of cross border trade with Ireland after Great Britain leaves the European Union. Great Britain has already agreed to sign a comprehensive free trade agreement upon leaving the European Union, however, the agreement would require the identification of products and their countries of origins to ensure compliance, which is where blockchain technology may be a solution.
  • While sitting down for an interview on CNBC’s Fast Money with Bob Pisani, Chris Giancarlo, chair of the US Commodities Futures Trading Commission, said cryptocurrencies are here to stay. In the interview, Giancarlo state, “We’re very focused on the fraud and manipulation aspects of cryptocurrency markets right now. In fact, last week, we just won a big victory in Boston federal courts that  certifies our authority to prosecute fraud and manipulation in the crypto space and we’ve been very active at it.”

Blockchain is Drawing the Attention of Professional Developers

ICOBox head of International PR Dima Zaitsev on the current expansion of blockchain development for blockchain in Spain:

Blockchain is Drawing the Attention of Professional Developers

People still wonder what the so-called “blockchain” is. The term may not be crystal clear to the layman at first glance, but it is mentioned so often in media, news, and posts online that it is clearly drawing the attention of the curious. If you type blockchain in Google nowadays, you will get no less than 129 M hits. So, where to get started?

What is blockchain?

Wikipedia is usually good at stating complex concepts in simple words that everyone can understand. According to the online encyclopedia, a blockchain is a list of records named “blocks” which are linked with the use of cryptography. Each block contains a hash of the previous one, a timestamp and the transaction data.

The cryptographic hash is a very special function that has the following properties: it is deterministic, allows quick computation of values, makes the sniffing of messages impractical, small changes would render the hash useless, and it’s unique. In other words, a blockchain is a protected digital register which is bulletproof against data modification attempts.

But, in addition to enhanced security, the blockchain also provides a change of mindset: decentralization. Old corporate systems were designed to be centralized, i.e. databases safeguarded on hard disks at a facility. Although backup copies solve the problem of potential data loss or corruption, that is nowhere near as efficient as decentralization, where every blockchain user can share the registers.

Living a decentralized lifestyle

I first heard of digital nomads while reading the news some years ago. It was a trend worth noting back then, but now is more of a day-to-day reality for the employees at ICOBox. Along with geographic freedom, lack of (usual) schedules, and the adventures of travel come the challenges: reliable Internet connection, changing time zones, visas, etc.

Working in a global company is truly decentralized. Attending an event in Malta one week, another in Singapore the next, and traveling to the USA and Spain to finalize a four-week routine around half the globe. In the meantime, there is the chance to talk to numerous people who are knowledgeable in the tech, such as Andrei Karpushonak, a freelance software developer with 12+ of experience.

After some background on the technology, my first question was related to the interest that a senior developer may have in the blockchain.

Blockchain development requires a combination of various skills, such as computer programming, cryptography, and game theory, which makes it more difficult to start, and more rewarding if you continue, as you will acquire a better understanding of the current financial system, cutting-edge technology, and even philosophy, sociology, and government processes.

Andrei is based in southern Spain, where he is gaining firsthand knowledge of the decentralized lifestyle. There is still a lack of seniority in the sector, since the big cryptocurrency boom, aka the bitcoin bubble of 2017, wasa recent occurrence. Therefore, mastering the skills now will allow the experts to stand out in the coming years, giving them an edge on industry newcomers.

The only constant thing in software development is change. Technologies come and go, the job market is constantly changing, and developers, to stay up to date, need to evolve and learn all the time. Blockchain gives the opportunity to program money using native digital assets, which was simply not possible before, so there are a lot of opportunities and low hanging fruits in this area, which is largely unexplored, starting from an easy to use digital asset wallet, secure and friendly cold storage (digital vault) or digging deeper into consensus mechanisms, which is part of the Research and Development area.

There is plenty of development already in sight, but still more as yet unseen beyond the horizon. We cannot foresee how far this technology and the related developments will lead us. Just as the Internet changed the way the world understands communications, we may be witnessing how our paradigm of data sharing is changing thanks to the various uses of cryptography.

A growing market in Spain

Analyzing the reach of the sector within the country, we must conclude that is still just getting started. At this point, there is a bright perspective for the months to come and plenty of interest in the evolution prior to 2019. Some still expect another Christmas price bubble, whereas the more cautious simply go with the flow.

The job market for blockchain developers is growing, but there is a big difference in the projects a developer can work on depending on the country/area they live. Remote opportunities are available, but, at the same time, as the nature of work involves dealing with value (digital assets), trust is a big issue, and this trust could be harder to achieve if you work remotely. To overcome this struggle, probably the best way is to pick an open source project you like, and start contributing, on GitHub or the communication channel of the given project, in other words — to start learning by doing.

The path to mastering blockchain is packed with challenges. Fortunately, people are becoming aware of the importance of learning. Meetups by CIBTC on September 27 in Granada, on September 28 in Almeria, and on October 2 in Malaga are harnessing the momentum for larger events, like the one to be held in the Andorran Roc Blanc Hotel on October 5–6 with a capacity for 450 attendees. The participants will have the chance to learn more in conferences, workshops, and other activities.

International blockchain events are scarce in Spain, but there are a few annual ones such as the Blockchain Solutions World 2018 on October 16–18 in Barcelona at the Fira de Barcelona, which attracts hundreds of attendees. ICOBox is proud to take part in this large conference with a three-man squad headed by Dima Zaitsev and including Evgeny Nikiforov and César Patiño. The spread of blockchain in the Spanish & LATAM ecosystems is undeniable.

Shorter ending

The path to mastering the blockchain is packed with challenges. Fortunately, people are becoming aware of the importance of learning by doing and making. CIBTC is organizing meetups (upcoming in Granada, Almeria, and Malaga) and their next event in Andorra on October 5–6. There are also international blockchain events such as the Blockchain Solutions World 2018 on October 16–18, which ICOBox is attending, and the European Blockchain Convention on November 29, both held in Barcelona

DBXChain Introduces Real Business Applications

Since the introduction of Bitcoin, blockchain is already entering its third generation of technological leaps with Blockchain 3.0. Blockchain 3.0 will not only change the traditional relationships in an economic system, but also will overturn old classical economic system, and rebuilding world’s economic structure. The current change will make most crypto tokens obsolete.

At the end of 2016, Tomi Wen, CEO of Beijing Digital Engine Technology Co. Ltd. and the founder of DBXChain, chose to get into blockchain market by working on the underlying system of public chain, data infrastructure in the blockchain world. Tomi Wen holds a bachelors degree from Renmin University, and is a tech geek. He developed software DIY-Page at age 15 and became “the software author that made Baidu changed its algorithm”.

With DBXChain, Tomi aims at exceeding Ethereum and becoming the first large-scale feasible public chain by introducing the first public blockchain with real business use cases and projects integrated already before listing its token DBX on any exchange. For Tomi this is a statement about validating DBXChain as a credible blockchain among the so called “archaic blockchain”.

“Archaic blockchain” refers to the projects that do not have real operations as support, but simply aim at attracting people to invest by issuing cryptocurrency. This became known after a recording was published where a prominent Chinese investor in the field revealed that many blockchain companies have no valid business goals. In the archaic blockchain era, majority of the projects are “illusions”, so that everyone swindles other people’s money. The recording event marks the end of “archaic blockchain” age. The new age of blockchain belongs to practitioners, not braggers. This kind of game will be aborted eventually. In the new age of blockchain, those people who work with technological and business progress in mind way will win.

DBXChain has not only their blockchain testnet already available, but it wants to introduce an ecosystem that allows for true decentralisation. DBX’s main goal is to provide unprecedented blockchain products or services to redefine data exchange ecosystem. This new value-based ecosystem is a decentralized community that provides a platform for users to explore and exchange data. This exchange process is safe and users are able to own their data with rights.

A decentralized ecosystem is able to attract interested investors and developers. DBXChain uses a consensus mechanism D-DPoS that they spent more than a year developing. It has two key features: first, transaction capacity is greatly improved by a representative system and sharding technique so that it meets the requirement to make an application feasible. Second, security issues, due to oligarchy and centralization by a representative system, are solved by using a real-time fluid “super role” to replace regularly elected “super nodes” and by balancing the importance of subjective choice and objective contribution in an election mechanism.

DBXChain’s main business is data infrastructure that releases data’s value and “atomizes” data transactions. A connection that were impossible to release value has been made possible in a new blockchain operation system. Artificial intelligence (AI) will also benefit the ecosystem from big data accumulation and better computing powers.

DBXChain aims to build a business model that emphasizes on revenue from applications. DBXChain will support many developed businesses, which already have a large volume of data on classical internet. These data will test the capacity of DBXChain networks and its security.

For example, DBX will offer a convenient data sharing tool in the form of DApp so that users are able to share their data with public selectively and voluntarily while keeping their privacy. For example, the popularization of mobile payment has generated massive transaction data. Users can share their transaction data by uploading screenshots of receipts voluntarily. This way users actively choose if they want their data to be collected. Additionally, these data might be used by many different parties with users’ authorization: a financial institution needs to sell credit products; a market research group wants to understand consumption. User get benefits every time data are used.

DBXChain is also in cooperation with the app SuperFans. SuperFans allows stars/celebrities to connect to their fans by decentralized communications achieved by DBX. It reduces the costs of communication between stars and fans and explores more interesting and effective business models for fan economy such as more personalized fans service and engagement etc. It shows a possibility of blockchain reforming future entertainment economy.

By the end of 2018, DBX aims to have 50 projects available online that goes beyond finance field. DBX has been actively developing projects in the fields of game, social, IoT, AI etc.

Crypto News Recap: Cryptocurrencies are in the red as Ripple officially launches its xRapid platform

Crypto News
