How to Choose the Best Cryptocurrency Exchange | Unicoin DCX

How to Choose the Best Cryptocurrency Exchange

Crypto trading is not as frequent as FX or other derivatives because of its concern with high security of fund and legality. You must be aware of many things when you are thinking to enter into the crypto market. Crypto market provides immense opportunity and similarly, high risk also. Many exchanges provide to buy bitcoin, ethereum, litecoin, and other altcoins, and you need to look at which coins suit your investment requirement with a security guarantee. Below are the essential points which can be helpful while selecting the best crypto exchange.

Security
The security is the primary aspect while choosing any exchange as this is the matter of safeguard of money ultimately. If money is lost, then there is no use of having an exchange. Therefore, you need to make sure that the exchange must provide a high level of multi-security to the wallet and other services.

Technology
You need to check their website if the crypto exchanges are using secured webpage connection or not like https because HyperText Transfer Protocol Secure (HTTPS) is the secure version of HTTP. The protocol over which data transferred between your browser and the website is encrypted and secured. It is assumed to be good if two factors of security login are enabled. The cold wallet should also be optional even if the hot wallet is available to avoid hacking. Moreover, every individual receives an Auto-generated SMS (Short Message Service).

Legal Aspects
As we know, crypto trading is not legalized yet in many countries or under consideration. Therefore, you should know about your legal aspects before practising crypto trading. However, most of the traders know these issues before actual trading as that’s a matter of their fund. Exchanges are registered and legal for a particular country or region but not necessary it would be applicable for all countries.

Transparency
In trading from any exchanges, this is the notable aspect which decides the term of the business.  Therefore, all exchanges should maintain the proper level of transparency to their traders so that traders can rely on carrying on more trading volume.

Liquidity
While talking about online trading, everyone expects high liquidity in the market so it may help traders for both entry and exit. The more the liquidity, more chances of a less default.

Fees
A trader should be aware of transaction cost while trading cryptocurrencies through exchange platform and that may be in the form of spread, brokerage, swap, withdrawal, deposit, account activation, account closure fees, and so on. There may be chances of some hidden fees applicable also. Therefore, before choosing any exchanges, you should ask all these very clearly. As per the service fees, there should be matching & qualitative offerings also.

Payment Modes
There are different methods of taking pay-in or pay-out by the exchanges in the world, and you need to know which currency they are taking and what is the mode of acceptance like banking channel, payment gateway or peer to peer. If the payment method is feasible, then you can go ahead for further requirement.

User Experience
It is the best way to know precisely about the exchanges when you ask your friends who are already involved in such trading as they may guide you better than the customer care. You may look as such person for reference because once you indulge in crypto trading, then it will hard to find all the pros and cons without incurring a cost. Thus, it is better to know from someone else who has already experienced.

Hopefully, the above points might help you for choosing a suitable exchange for crypto trading as per your need. However, you must research more about your query through email, chat, or over the call also. That may help you to evaluate the right things for your investment necessity.

Some crypto commentators suggested that the sell order could be made by mistake, with the order’s owner having meant to sell his/her bitcoin at $8,200 instead of $6,200.

The development, which Lubin noted is divided into four phases, already has eight groups developing clients for the new chain. He explained that there are several ways in which the new chain could be connected with the old one, noting “there may be bidirectional mechanisms” in moving ether (ETH) tokens from the old chain to the new chain.

The two celebrities had been involved in promoting Centra Tech’s ICO, and had originally been charged last November with unlawfully advertising the aforementioned ICO. This week, a judge ruled that the investors who had brought the legal action against the ICO had not proven that they had bought tokens as a direct result of the pair’s actions. In the settlement where neither of the parties admitted to nor denied the charges against them, Mayweather was fined more than $600,000, while Khaled was fined more than $150,000.

In the post, Chen noted that Tron is no longer staying true to its founding principle of decentralizing the web, critiquing Tron’s delegated proof-of-stake (DPoS) consensus mechanism and Super Representative governance and block production nodes.

How are you reporting your taxes? Are you reporting every trade you do?

From what I can gather, every trade is a taxable event, even bitcoin to tether (right?). How many of you are actually trading and reporting like that’s the case? Is there a way around this while reporting and accurately paying taxes?

[Fraud ALERT] HiTBTC withdraw scam using KYC

I know the fact that HitBTC is scam exchange won't come as news to many of you but to those who are new to the space this should serve as a stern warning to never use this fraud syndicate to trade cryptocurrency. I read many stories before on how they are a group of swindlers but I was stupid enough to try their services for the first time ever because Binance was down when I made my trade.

HitBTC is currently holding my 19960 BAT (~1BTC) as of 05/12/19 and won't let me withdraw them. As far as I know it is illegal for any business entity national or international to forfeit investor's assets indefinitely like this but as I said earlier this is a fraud syndicate masquerading as a Cryptocurrency exchange.

On 05/13/19 I transferred 1 BTC to their exchange to buy 19960 BAT and when I wanted to withdraw my funds I was surprised to find that I can't do so without a KYC. I was extremely frustrated by this but I initially thought to myself that this is a standard procedure since 1 BTC is a relatively hefty amount of money so I submitted all the documents they requested for the KYC then visited their Telegram group and their Reddit page r/EN_HitBTC to talk to some representative to expedite the process only to find out that dozens of other users are in a similar situation as me, many of whom have been dragged through this for several months on end that even after providing all the additional silly information all of which have nothing to do with a standard KYC/AML, they continued to be stonewalled like in the case of one user on Telegram where they would ask him about his "trading strategy" (see Telegram exhibits below) to complete the KYC then totally ignoring him. Their new Reddit page (original was closed for some reason) also has a number of users mired in the same swamp of their KYC scam. The way they do this is by asking for standard KYC/AML information and after these are provided, they would ask you to document the origin of the funds by providing "screenshots of your deposit, trading and withdrawal history on service (exchange or wallet) that is related to the following transactions:-" and they list a number of hashes, 2 hashes in my case, then state that they "need to see detailed information (hash, addresses) for each of the mentioned transactions".

Simply put they are torturing users for months by asking them to provide screenshots of all wallets and transactions in their trade history even if THE WALLETS DON'T BELONG TO THEM (as in when you receive money from someone else, airdrop...etc) to prove that the money the exchange is holding belongs to the user (refer to the Telegram sceenshots below) . This might be an easy task for someone who just bought their coins from Coinbase , for example, and sent it directly to HitBTC but it would prove extremely cumbersome/impossible for a person with multiple wallets and many addresses who has been trading for years.

In my case, I sent two transactions the first was from a Wasabi Wallet ( it has an internal mixing service called CoinJoin) and the second one was sent from Samurai wallet. Using these two wallets renders tracing transactions impossible because of built in features that increase fungibility making tracing them to the original wallet very complicated even for a chain analysis firm but their brilliant customer support representative is unwilling to accept this fact and they won't unfreeze my account.

Now if I was an isolated case I would have thought that maybe their representative is just retarded or something but this is a systemic problem and they are scamming many people using this same technique as you guys can see on their new Reddit page and in their Telegram group  that even after you provide them with all the screenshots they want they would still have some retarded request like taking pictures from around your house as in the link below or some other crazy sh*t.

It is difficult to sue HitBTC because they intentionally hides the owners, country where incorporated..etc. Another good reason to AVOID them

Please, if you have been a victim of this fraud cartel don't suffer in silence and SPEAK OUT! I can only blame myself for what happened to me and I paid a heavy price for being ignorant. That being said, something has to be done about this rot that is plaguing the crypto space. We can all agree that scams are a serious problem afflicting the Crypto community right? Well we've got one here right in front of our eyes. HitBTC is the 8th biggest exchange with hundreds or perhaps thousands of victims yet they continue to exist and scam users until this day despite their flagrant ethical violations and racketeering....Why?

I call on all the influential people in the Crypto community, the Crypto Youtube community, the mods of this massive cryptocurrency subreddit and everyone else in between to aware users and all newcomers of the appalling behavior of this shady exchange and flat out theft that goes on on their platform especially with the influx of new users that we're seeing as our community continues to grow.

In an unrelated scam they even froze customers accounts ahead of "Proof of keys" events.....What the f*ck is wrong with these people! They are the epitome of everything wrong in Crypto!

This is what I propose any fraud victim should do:

A. Report all fraud attempts to CoinMarketCap and Coinpaprika so hopefully with enough pressure they would be delisted from there.

B. Come talk about your experience in here at r/cryptocurrency and other Subreddits

C. Report them to the Ethereum Scam Database: https://etherscamdb.info/report

D. Report them to Google https://safebrowsing.google.com/safebrowsing/report_phish/?hl=en

E. Report them to Ripoff Report (They already have 5 complaints against them including mine)

F. If you have any money there withdraw it right now regardless whether you are verified or not because they have been doing this to verified user too. Never do business with these people

Whether you want to invest in house profits, gamble, play non-casino games, play with friends in multiplayer, simply mine RWD, or trade on Play Market, we hope Play has something to offer everyone!

Reward mining progresses through rounds and gradually gets more difficult as time goes on. If the user chooses to burn their RWD, they receive a share of the daily reward pool, which is a collection of all house profits on the platform automatically distributed to the users based on their proportionate share of the total pool every 24 hours.

Users holding RWD tokens get a share of 50% of the Play Markets TRX profits, and PLAY holders get airdrops of RWD daily for holding increments of a million PLAY in their wallet. Further use cases will be developed as the platform continues to grow. We are always looking for ways to further benefit our users and our eco system is constantly evolving.

Play with your favorite Crypto Currency

Users can play games with PLAY, TRX, IGG, LVH and more, with BTC, ETH and EOS coming in the very near future. Mining Reward (RWD) is another central aspect to this platform that will bring longevity and exciting rewards to our users for years to come.

PLAY.GOC.NETWORK offers traditional table games like Blackjack, Roulette, Bacarrat and Texas Hold’em. Play casino also offers slot games, dice games and Plinko. Start playing today to earn your fair share of multiple shares of TRC20 tokens on the Tron Blockchain with bitcoin gambling coming soon!

Play Crypto Casino Online Advantages

One of the main advantages is that by buying PLAY tokens in increments of 1M you qualify for the daily RWD airdrop so in essence it is possible to “be the house” and earn a share of daily profits by burning these in the daily party, or if you prefer to hold them you will earn your share of 50% of the Play Markets profits. So many ways to earn!

As we run off-chain we have our depositing and withdrawing system, which will enable us to grow beyond the Tron ecosphere in the very near future.

The crypto casino boom will be a massive change in the online gaming industry soon. The advantage to playing with crypto rather than using your credit card is that the payment process is significantly faster, and you are completely safe when you don't need to leave your credentials online. It is important not to share your private keys with anyone, these must always be kept secure.

New games and features are added regularly to diversify the portfolio of readily available games.

Anonymous play on the block-chain is one of the aspects many find desirable, as it removes the need to spend time performing KYC which is required when playing online with fiat currencies the mainstream casinos offer.

Mike Novogratz: Web 3.0 Will Change the World, Not Bitcoin

https://i.redd.it/dyk82h2jq7z21.png

The world’s largest cryptocurrency, bitcoin (BTC), is not going to change the world as it is just a store of value, Galaxy Digital CEO Michael Novogratz said at ConsenSys’ Ethereal Summit on May 11.

Major bitcoin bull and former Wall Street exec Novogratz made his comments during a speech entitled “The Herd Is Still Coming!” at the industry event, which Cointelegraph attended as a media partner.

Starting with bitcoin, “as it came first,” Novogratz claimed that the coin has “really establishing itself as a store of value,” noting that it is “kind of finished” in terms of fulfilling its use case as a store of value. Novogratz also compares the asset to gold, arguing that both have value as a social construct.

Since bitcoin represents a store of value or acts as a “digital gold,” it is “not going to change the world,” Novogratz argued. He further stated that instead it is web 3.0 that “has the potential to change the world.” According to Novogratz, web 3.0 envisions a revolution in how networks function and data is treated as it is “a decentralized platform to process information. It’s separating data from the processing of it.” The investor noted that public ecosystems such as Ethereum and “lots of competitors are all vying for this space.”

Comparing various cryptocurrencies with chemical elements in the periodic table, Mike also considered the role of altcoins, hinting that each coin will have “to prove themselves out” in order to provide a certain use case. On this note, Novogratz argued out that “there’s no one building anything on the litecoin blockchain,” as opposed to the Ethereum blockchain, referencing a recent tweet of his.

Novogratz elaborated in his talk:

“If you really think bitcoin is gonna win this store of value, everything else needs to be used for something.”

Recently, Novogratz made yet another bitcoin prediction, claiming that the major cryptocurrency will beat its all-time-high record of $20,000 within the next 18 months.

Meanwhile, crypto markets have rallied since Friday, with bitcoin surging over 10% today to press time, breaking over the $7,000 threshold after trading around $4,000 for most of 2019.

What tonight's "60 Minutes" piece on BTC will be about. ( Basically, FUD )

It seems tonight's piece won't be a super supportive piece, but more on the misinformed/slightly negative side, unfortunately. They will be interviewing the guy that bought pizza with BTC and comparing his purchase then, to BTC's price now (silly). Then speaking to someone at the Fed who will be trying to warn people about BTC and how it's not backed by governments or have deposit insurance.

At the end of a volatile week in the stock market, "60 Minutes" examines the even wilder financial world of Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. The story, reported by Anderson Cooper, includes the first television interview with the legendary "Bitcoin pizza guy," Laszlo Hanyecz. On May 22, 2010, Hanyecz traded 10,000 Bitcoin for some pizza in what is widely believed to be the first real-world transaction involving Bitcoin. Each year, on May 22, Bitcoin enthusiasts all over the world celebrate "Bitcoin Pizza Day" to mark the event. Bitcoin then was worth less than a penny. Hanyecz, a computer programmer who lives in Florida, told Cooper he made a number of other trades after the pizza. In all, he estimated that he spent 100,000 Bitcoin on a number of items, much of it on pizza. At the time of this interview, one Bitcoin was worth about $8,000. "That's $800 million," Cooper says. "You spent about $800 million on pizza?" Hanyecz replies, "Well, if you look at today's exchange rate." "Are there nights you wake up," Cooper asks, "where you think, 'I could have had $800 million… if I hadn't bought those pizzas?'" "I think thinking like that is… not really good for me," Hanyecz says. Cooper's report includes interviews with Federal Reserve Governor Lael Brainard; Neha Narula, director of the MIT Media Lab's Digital Currency Initiative; Marco Streng, the CEO of Genesis Mining; and Charlie Shrem, one of Bitcoin's first millionaires and also one of its first convicted felons. Bitcoin is a digital computer-based currency that is not backed by any government or bank. Its records are maintained by a global network of computers known as "mines," and its value is based on the free market. It can be bought and sold for dollars through businesses called "exchanges." For the "60 Minutes" report, Cooper visited a cryptocurrency "mine" in Iceland. He also visited the Federal Reserve in Washington D.C., where Brainard warns investors that cryptocurrency is much riskier than the U.S. dollar. "The Federal Reserve and ultimately the U.S. Treasury stand behind [the dollar]," says Brainard. "And when you hold your dollars in a bank account, you have deposit insurance… None of those accountability mechanisms exist for Bitcoin." See the full "60 Minutes" report, Sunday, May 19 at 7:00 p.m. ET/PT on CBS.

Bullish too soon?

Does anyone else think this hype/pump is too good to be true? We're just not ready yet.

I love Lightning, but most of the devs agree it's still years away from being useable.

Meanwhile fees are steadily climbing. Personally, I might pay $2-$3 fees to open Lightning channels, but not much else. (What about $5-10?)

Why would non-enthusiasts use Flexa/SPEDN/Moon over Google/Apple Pay/etc? They're all trusted services, so what is even the point? All these new merchants "accepting Bitcoin" likely wont ever touch it, or know you're paying with it. For now it's just another way for them to receive fiat.

Also, buying anything with crypto can be a taxable event if the price increased since you bought it.

For remittance, why wouldn't people use stablecoins, or any fast/cheap shitcoin so they can convert it instantly at the receiving exchange? Not much volatility can happen in 1-5mins.

Important things like private key security are still too complex/expensive for 99% people. HW Wallet prices need to drop ASAP.

Fungibility is still pretty bad, people get their accounts closed if they deposit/spend crypto the exchange doesnt approve of.

Not to mention Tether looming over the market, FacebookCoin coming soon, the 95% fake volume, and the constant exchange hacks that everyone sees in their timelines. (Did your friends/family message you about Quadriga? Mine too)

To top it all off, it's not even a hedge against inflating fiat currencies yet. Bitcoin's current inflation rate is 3.7%, so it's only a better hold if demand keeps accelerating. $8000 x 12.5 x 144 blocks/day = $14,000,000 of selling pressure every day.

TL:DR Bitcoin has great potential, but in its current state is only really useable with custodial services, defeating the purpose of it, especially with all the added complexity.
