Revelation and the first 5 seals

Blessed is he who will stand at the beginning. And he will know the end, and he will not taste death.

The book of revelation is based around the theory of eternal return. The Second Coming of Christ is the emergence of the Christ Consciousness within an individual, not a collective physical event as is portrayed by the Christian Church. He only gave one son for our sins. You are a part of Christ as am I, together we are the Christ. There are no prophets and messiahs just good and bad people. Yes I've been in hospital, yes I've convinced doctors and nurses of who I was. Right time, right place, right people, right words. David (who thought it too) says I'm not the second coming of Christ. After I confessed everything to him that happened between the two wards in my state of possession, which coincidentally lead me back home to the accidental death of my cousin (a farmer and chef, who died swerving to miss an animal, also kept exotic animals as pets) The funeral of which was on the same day as the birth of his brother's (Kane: a farmer and carpenter) fourth son, both of which coincided with the birthday of the friend that took me to hospital who I gave the Dragons of Eden to who told me about the first two rules of the internet 12 years ago. He says that I've clearly been given a path. David also gave me to God. If you put Jesus in a mental ward how much healing could he do? My problem isn't that I think it. My problem is that others have called me it all my life and think it. I do not wish the thought on my worst enemy. Unfortunately, the more people that read this the more people figure it out. However the more that do the less turmoil there will be in the future. God is love, sharing is caring and I keep my head shaved.

"Behold, He is coming with clouds, and every eye will see Him, even they who pierced Him" Relates to the internet, technology is not outside of God and is a part of the plan. Contrary to the predictions of the return of Jesus, no such event will take place. As with so many things in Christianity, the events and concepts apply to changes in awareness and consciousness, not physical events. Just as salvation is not as it is portrayed in the literal sense, but is a transformation in spiritual consciousness, so to is the Second Coming a transformation in a person’s spiritual consciousness and connection to God, not an outer physical event. I consider myself both the false prophet and the anti-christ until Jesus comes and tries to knock me and my boys out. If you had to describe the internet and everything it can do to someone 2000 years ago, how would they interpret it? What was commonly known back then that is comparable?

Here is some of my support for my idea of Revelation. Plus the closest thing to a mathematical poem and proof of God - https://imgur.com/a/KZ25n5x

First horse is blockchain technology, a technology based upon sharing, transparency and honesty (bow to conquer. 1 John 4:16) and understanding the gnosis protocol (knowledge is power, crown upon the head). The transition to crypto and the price manipulation scheme currently happening with precious metals (mostly silver) along with the derivatives bubble, global debt, the band-aid they tried to put over the last GFC and current political and social turmoil happening around the globe could bring about an Apocalyptic GFC or two. A country that's divided surely will not stand. Also the revelation that science studies confirm each sin in that the opposite of which results in an expansion of consciousness, memory association, intelligence, decision making, attention span and life expectancy (i.e closer to God). The evolution and progression of humanity only trends in one direction, up. As BDNF is released the brain hemispheres become connected and you're able to perceive others peoples thoughts and emotions better. It also delays alzheimers disease, increases immune strength, reduces disease and cancer. Coincidentally our own greed, gluttony, sloth, lust, pride, envy and ignorance to others and the world around you inevitably brings the Apocalypse and kills this Earth regardless with the help of climate change. They were called deadly for a reason. Desire is suffering, money the root of all inequality, pride the root of all evil and "Instagram got yo bih." The rejection of gnosis (knowledge) by creationists is a poison that plagues Earth. There is a hidden spiritual and evolutionary meaning behind the story of Adam, Eve, the serpent and Cain and Able. I personally ignore the second testament. Working hands are holier than lips that talk about shit that may not have happened. I have and always will only accept truth. The LUCA was a mushroom and I evolved from an ape. Although I do subscribe to the Nag Hammadi library which is needed to understand the concepts hidden within Revelation. The meek possess crypto and precious metals as they tether. The devil will take the hindmost.

Second seal is both the ego-death that hits with the acceptance of eternal return and the chaos that comes from the transition of fiat to technology. Imagine a world without banks. Complete loss of subjective self-identity, loss of free will as you come to terms with the revelation. Submission to the Lord with your own personal path predetermined like the weather and continental shifts throughout Earths history since planetary accretion. That maybe there is no consciousness after death, heaven or hell, the soul in your microtubules belongs only to The Monad/Allah/Yahweh and that what you do or say doesn't really matter and how all the religious faiths will behave as they come to terms with this. Cognitive dissonance and the true test of character and faith. Life is a gift and the kingdom of heaven is within, start acting like it. The meek will be able to handle it.

Third seal is simply based around our sustainability on Earth. Black horse representative of the solar panels that will cover earth required to sustain the intensive energy requirements of blockchain tech until something else comes along. "A measure of wheat for a denarius, and three measures of barley for a denarius" Perhaps the recession will be so severe we'll be paid in food. Or once crypto and precious metals finish tethering we wont need money. This will be needed to balance our existence on Earth as represented by the scales in the hand of the rider. The meek will be those that can adjust.

Fourth is clean up and burial

The fifth seals are those of us that have already figured this shit out, accepted these words before it happens, connected their hemispheres "army of left handed slingers whose 'minds', are true", experienced the terrifying feeling of ego-death that hits with the Revelation i.e "souls slain by the word of God." Are already walking around right now able to perceive a thought. I've experimented and talked about this with a friend who is an left-handed multi-instrumentalist. I'm left handed (the spirit is left-handed), but right hand dominant (hand intended by God), like to box and exercise a lot. Mum said I was also supposed to come out on Christmas. People have told me I look like him. People have told me they have dreamt it. People have called me it. People have said my name sounds like. Now I can tell when people are thinking it. I also do the water to wine trick at work. They would all make fun of the fact that I believed in Jesus but not God. "Don’t you believe in God?" "Not yet!" I would say. Which is true; God isn't yet. I'm also the bastard of a single mother with a made up last name. "Like a thief in the night" Refers to the fact that we can dreamwalk. I have done it across Earth and have confirmed it with a friend in the US. My dreams have also become like a report card and give answers to questions asked. Now I have interpretive visions, like a waking dream, that seem to align with my idea of the future when I meditate on Sophia. Although this may just be the bias of my own subconscious.

Cheat code for joining the fifth seal and becoming as empathic as Christ. Works best if you're right handed.

Take some vitamin B3, the kind that doesn't make you flush. Fast for about 16 hours (an early dinner and black coffee for breakfast is enough) and then go for a 30-40 minute run. Both of these activities significantly release BDNF. Take some lionsmane mushroom (buy organic), this helps grow the myelin sheaths around your neurons. Smoke a bit of the devils lettuce, the serotonin released helps with the connection and makes it more interesting. Put on some music to activate the senses and start coloring something in with your left hand or sketch an object. The majority of a hemispheres function is motor control and sense as opposed to thought processing and reasoning. The finer the motor control the more activation. Alternatively learn boxing or an instrument. The right hand takes you around the block, the left hand takes you around the world.

The theory that the universe repeats is based upon how the holy spirit descended upon me and God found me (which happened in May, look at the significant weather events). I read some interesting Gensis interpretations in the book the Dragons of Eden (gnosis protocol) which led me to read the KJV. First time I've ever picked up a bible and I skipped straight to the second testament. As I read I felt as though the words were doing something to me. Right at that time coincidental stories with the same names from the book were occurring to me. I became compelled and possessed to do and say things in a way I usually wouldn't. It culminated to the reverse search of an idea/concept within the bible, found a certain piece of scripture and I felt my mind snap like something had been severed when I discovered it. I had completely lost myself and my thoughts were not my own. Life was by the seconds. If I tried to ignore the thought or idea to do or say something after I was giving a sign, a vibratory headache or sharp pain would begin to grow in my head. When I followed or carried through with it a massive sensation of elation and release of cranial pressure would be felt. It was one sign after another. Submission to 'the word' coming from those around me. It wasn't until months later when my mind was doing mental loops of everything that had happened and the answers I had been given: "God is us but God is God, don't we become God? but God is love but love is love I want love... will I get love?... BOOM... when I had hoped for love from God my entire life came back to me in one memory that the headaches stopped. I felt a huge release of serotonin and like a connection had been made or the spirit fell on me, what ever you want to call it. I started to be able to perceive the thoughts of others from past memories, I now have an extremely accurate visual memory and open third eye. I've seen the effects of the spirit fall on others from my voice. I've seen miracles in explicable by science. I've seen divine intervention. I've accidentally put the fear of God in mental health nurses that were rejecting me. Most of this is actually on camera and has been recorded. I wouldn't mind studying it one day. I have been given coincidental signs and synchronicities outside of the internet that all these things will occur. (bitcoin, silver, derivatives bubble, collapse of banks). People I've talked to say they have also felt similar experiences when they have read the words of God. I have also felt the fear of God as he has shown himself to me more then once and what he can do. This is why I believe The Book of Revelation is true and will happen. Try and stop the evolution and progression of humanity. Try and stop God's plan.

Just taking the lionsmane alone and sketching with your left hand is enough to give you a sort of feel good sensation in your right hemisphere. Silver is intensively important to building the technology used in blockchain and also in building solar panels. The Judas (representative of banks) betrayed the Christ (representative of us) for 30 pieces of silver and the universe is repeating. Christ died for our sins which are evidently killing this Earth the time has come to take him down from the cross by those that put him there. Australia is Gods country and where he sends all the old souls and the honest. The founding nature and nurture of the country keeps them that way. Singapore becomes new Jerusalem. They are humble, generous, conservative yet progressive. A harmonious mix of all faiths.

My favorite part of it all of this is the contempt and jealousy of men for the path I have been given. The one's that reject me out of fear for the truth I represent as they wait for their savior and magician to appear in the sky. Fearful of God and the wrath he is about to bring upon himself. Cognitively dissonant to his potential and his personal responsibility for his state of the planet. You have only me, my book and the answers it gives me. The son of man says read something else, go for a run, buy bitcoin and make some new friends.

Prompt: In a post apocalyptic wasteland you miraculously find an ancient but fully functional computer. Unfortunately it can only perform one task.

It always felt to me like characters in post apocalyptic books or movies spent the majority of their time endlessly lamenting all the things they miss the most about their previously highly advanced civilization. Usually the answers would revolve around lost luxuries. A perfectly cooked gourmet steak perhaps? Maybe a relaxing spa day? Or the simple ability to fly from one end of the earth to another in a matter of hours, but now that I’m living it, do you know what I miss doing the most?

Anything. Anything at all, really. As I’ve wandered the endless wastelands, I longed to find moments that were new, or different, or even remotely intellectually stimulating. Throughout the several decades since the Great Collapse, my days were depressingly repetitive. I scrounged for food and scrap among the ruins of once great cities. I scoured neighborhoods for any sign of other survivors, without success. I took shelter wherever I could, and tried desperately to entertain myself by batting a ball of twine around... like a goddamn bored house cat. Tom Hanks at least had a volleyball best friend when he was lost and alone in Castaway. I hadn't even been that lucky, I’ve yet to meet a ball of any kind with any notable personality.

It's in that context of sheer boredom and lack of mental stimulation that I made my shocking discovery. Buried within the depths of a generic looking office building I found a computer. A computer that would have already been considered ancient by the time of The Collapse, I only recognized the giant bulky metal box from pictures and history lessons. With no expectation of it being in working order, I flipped the switch and to my shock and amazement, the dusty and weathered monitor lit right up!

It displayed a simple black and white message: Wikipedia: Offline Version. What the— can this possibly be real?

The memories of endless hours I’d spent going down "Wikipedia holes" came flooding back to me. I didn't believe it as I clicked the screen to begin, but against all odds, this indeed seemed to be a fully functional version of Wikipedia. Granted, it was horribly out of date, with articles and edits ending about a decade prior to the collapse, but to me, these 'out of date' pages were still absolute manna from heaven.

I scrolled to the page for the Theory of Relativity and pumped my fist in the air when it loaded. I could garner great knowledge from the millions of pages of scientific information contained within Wikipedia. This wasn’t a purely intellectual curiosity. I don't remember half the crap I was taught in high school science classes, but with the help of this database, maybe I could figure out how to create metal tools, or make my own healing salves... or soap... God, I'd kill for a nice soapy bath and the feeling of being actually clean for the first time in years.

Between reading up on ancient Roman construction techniques and improvised methods employed by the castaways on the TV show Gilligan's Island, I convinced myself that I could make myself a basic aqueduct system to capture and transport fresh rainwater... and maybe even build a radio out of a coconuts. Okay maybe that's a stretch, but the possibilities felt endless at the moment!

Finally, I held my breath as I readied myself for the final test of this archival database. When Kylie Jenner's page popped up, I nearly wept with joy. The 'Personal Life' section of every famous person I tested was still totally intact. Look, don’t judge me until you’ve been in my tattered shoes! Some minuscule form of trashy, vain, useless celebrity gossip had returned to my life and I felt blessed beyond belief.

As I visited page after page for hours on end, a strange message eventually popped up. Please Read: A Personal Appeal from Wikipedia Founder Jimmy Wales.

I chuckled to myself. I remembered these fundraising messages that used to show up once a year! Even this felt a tad nostalgic in the moment. It was fairly absurd that these messages had been left in the 'offline' version, but they were harmless enough... right up until they weren't.

I browsed constantly for weeks on end, until the 'personal appeals' ended and the personal insults began. Dear Reader, You are in the 99.9th percentile of hours spent browsing by Wikipedia users this month and you have not donated or even read our master's personal appeal? Are you a monster? Please read NOW and help keep Wikipedia free.

Apparently Offline Wikipedia had become somewhat sentient and was tired of what it perceived as my freeloading bullshit? Still, at least I was able to close the message and continue on my journey through knowledge and information long since forgotten by our post apocalyptic society.

That all changed on my 30th day of consecutive Wikipedia addiction. The screen went completely blank as I was neck deep in the bizarre, incestuous, backstabbing thousand year history of the British Royal Family. I hit every button imaginable, but Wikipedia seemed to be on it's own timetable. Finally, a full screen message appeared. Dear Nightmare Garbage Person, you MUST read this message from my master before continuing.

I clicked it, and read the generic appeal, but there was no way to close it out. Only one button appeared active, "Donate now". With great trepidation, I clicked it and sure enough, an old school donation window appeared. I clicked on $100 praying it would just assume I had the money or that currency even still existed, but no such luck. "Choose your payment method" was the response to my monetary selection.

I flew into a frustrated rage as I read the options. Credit cards don't exist! Even the physical cards I’d once had were long since melted down to make spoons or other basic tools! PayPal? Does this stupid Wikipedia bot think that PayPal servers are still in operation somewhere out there in the wasteland?! I cackled with sheer madness as I my eyes reached the final option. BITCOIN? My laughter was endless and uncontrollable. The attempted, and horribly botched, switch over to an all BitCoin based economy by our dumbass 23 year old president had been the first domino to topple over in a chain reaction of events that lead to the end of human civilization.

The irony was so rich in so many ways. I clicked every donate button I could find for days on end, praying it would finally let me back in, but it was becoming increasingly obvious that I was completely and permanently locked out of the system. It was in these moments that I finally allowed myself to consider the possibility that I was already dead and being tortured for my sins, because being this tantalizingly close to all the human knowledge in existence, but being unable to access it, felt like I was already in hell.

[uncensored-r/Bitcoin] Why use your own full node? Answered by Pieter Wuille

The following post by TheGreatMuffin is being replicated because some comments within the post(but not the post itself) have been silently removed.

The original post can be found(in censored form) at this link:

The original post's content was as follows:

One of Bitcoin's strengths - the most important in my opinion even - is the low degree of trust you need in others.

If you use a full node for your incoming transactions, you know that there was no cheating anytime in the history of your coins:

  • Nobody ever created money out of nothing (except for mimers, and only according to a well-defined schedule).

  • Nobody ever spent coins without holder their private key.

  • Nobody spent the same coins twice (but see further).

  • Nobody violated any of the other tricky rules that are needed to keep the system in check (difficulty, proof of work, DoS protection, ...).

... with one exception: because there is a need to pick a winner in presence of multiple competing valid versions of the ledger, (a majority of) miners have the authority to pick the version of the block chain that wins. This means their power is limited to choosing the order in which otherwise valid transactions occur, up to and including the right to delay them indefinitely. But they cannot make invalid transaction look valid to a full node.

If you are not running a full node, the amount of trust you're placing in others increases.

SPV nodes (such as some mobile clients, and Multibit) place a blind trust in the majority of miners, without checking validity of the blockchain they produce. It still requires a majority of miners to mislead an SPV node, but they can make it believe anything (including "You received 10000000 BTC!"). The reason why this does not happen is because full nodes would not accept such blocks, and assuming a large portion of the ecosystem does rely on full nodes, miners who do this would not see their blocks accepted by the larger economy, resulting in them wasting money.

Centralized services (most webwallets) make the user trust whatever the site says. They can claim anything.

So I hope you now see the importance of full nodes in this model. If you run a full node somewhere on the network, and nobody looks at the transactions it validates, it is indeed contributing to the network, but it is not helping with the reduction of trust.

Look at it another way: if only a few large players in the Bitcoin ecosystem were running full nodes, it only requires a malicious intent, or an attack/threat against them, to change the system's rules, as nobody else is validating.

Doing transactions in the Bitcoin ecosystem helps the Bitcoin currency. Running a full node helps the network. Using a full node helps you and the ecosystem reduce the need for trust.

How long does it take for my balance to unlock?

Your balance is unlocked after 10 confirmations (which means 10 mined blocks). A block is mined approximately every two minutes on the Monero network, so that would be around 20 minutes.

How can I prove that I sent a payment?

The fastest and most direct way is by using the ExploreMonero blockchain explorer. You will need to recover the transaction key from your wallet (complete guide for GUI / CLI).

How do I buy Monero (XMR) with Bitcoin (BTC)?

There are dozens of exchanges that trade Monero against Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. Check out the list on CoinMarketCap and choose the option that suits you best.

How do I buy Monero (XMR) with fiat?

  • Kraken (USD and EUR): old-school, decent exchange. They might require your documents for verification and approval of your account.
  • LocalMonero: peer-to-peer exchange. They have pretty much everything as a payment method and they support hundreds of fiat options.

How can I quickly exchange my Monero (XMR) for Bitcoin (BTC)?

There are multiple ways to exchange your Monero for Bitcoin, but first of all, I'd like to remind you that if you really want to do your part for Monero, one of the simplest ways is to get in touch with your merchant/service provider and request for it to accept Monero directly as payment. Ask the service provider to visit the official website and our communication channels if he or she needs help with system integration.

That being said, the community has been recommending two services in particular, XMR.TO and MorphToken. These services are only recommendations and are operated by entities outside the control of the Monero Project. Be diligent.

How do I mine Monero? And other mining questions.

The correct place to ask questions and discuss the Monero mining scene is in the dedicated subreddit r/MoneroMining. That being said, you can find a list of pools and available mining software in the GetMonero.org website.

2. Wallet: CLI & GUI

Why I can't see my balance? Where is my XMR?

Before any action there are two things to check:

  1. Are you using the latest available version of the wallet? A new version is released roughly every 6 months, so make sure you're using the current release (compare the release on GetMonero.org with your wallet's version on Settings, under Debug info).
  2. Is your wallet fully synchronized? If it isn't, wait the sync to complete.

Because Monero is different from Bitcoin, wallet synchronization is not instant. The software needs to synchronize the blockchain and use your private keys to identify your transactions. Check in the lower left corner (GUI) if the wallet is synchronized.

You can't send transactions and your balance might be wrong or unavailable if the wallet is not synced with the network. So please wait.

If this is not a sufficient answer for your case and you're looking for more information, please see this answer on StackExchange.

How do I upgrade my wallet to the newest version?

This question is beautifully answered on StackExchange.

Why does it take so long to sync the wallet [for the first time]?

You have decided to use Monero's wallet and run a local node. Congratulations! You have chosen the safest and most secure option for your privacy, but unfortunately this has an initial cost. The first reason for the slowness is that you will need to download the entire blockchain, which is considerably heavy (+70 GB) and constantly growing. There are technologies being implemented in Monero to slow this growth, however it is inevitable to make this initial download to run a full node. Consider syncing to a device that has an SSD instead of an HDD, as this greatly impacts the speed of synchronization.

Now that the blockchain is on your computer, the next time you run the wallet you only need to download new blocks, which should take seconds or minutes (depending on how often you use the wallet).

I don't want to download the blockchain, how can I skip that?

The way to skip downloading the blockchain is connecting your wallet to a public remote node. You can follow this guide on how to set it up. You can find a list of public remote nodes on MoneroWorld.

Be advised that when using a public remote node you lose some of your privacy. A public remote node is able to identify your IP and opens up a range for certain attacks that further diminish your privacy. A remote node can't see your balance and it can't spend your XMR.

How do I restore my wallet from the mnemonic seed or from the keys?

To restore your wallet with the 25 word mnemonic seed, please see this guide.

To restore your wallet with your keys, please see this guide.

3. Wallet: Ledger

How do I generate a Ledger Monero Wallet with the GUI or CLI?

This question is beautifully answered on StackExchange. Check this page for the GUI instructions, and this page for the CLI instructions.

4. Nodes

How can my local node become a public remote node?

If you want to support other Monero users by making your node public, you can follow the instructions on MoneroWorld, under the section "How To Include Your Node On Moneroworld".

How can I connect my node via Tor?

This question is beautifully answered on StackExchange.

"The year is 2065, and finally everything is now on the blockchain. Our protagonist has a stupid name since a typo in his birth certificate was immutably uploaded to the chain" - funny twitter thread

The year is 2065, and finally everything is now on the blockchain. Our protagonist has a stupid name since a typo in his birth certificate was immutably uploaded to the chain

Society is ruled by dynastic families of Hodlers, inbred so they could all avoid diluting their inherited stacks to nocoiners and shitcoiners. All the drudge work in society is done by a subhuman race of nocoiners, forever mocked by the lack of belief of their ancestors

The nocoiners are forever in a perpetual cycle of trying to work for their freedom. Everytime they get close to earn their freedom, the currency has deflated so much that they can no longer afford the transaction fee to move it, so they must work during another generation

Meanwhile, Elon Musk "giving away free btc" bots are now the 6th largest economy in the world, closely followed by all of the old world millionaire celebrities and the new world coiner playboys

All stores and restaurants list hundreds of currencies, prices, and trading pairs, glowing in neon and constantly changing and disappearing as new coins are invented and go to zero in a matter of seconds.

Shitcoins are the pleb's bread and butter, the pleb class only has access to altcoins and its the bitcoin maximalists who are in an elite class who never have to touch them

Funnily enough, since fiat was abolished its now become an extremely rare collector's item, and actually it's now worth so much more despite blatant forgeries and near infinity supply

All curse words have been replaced by extinct financial institutions of the past. Sentences like "I don't give a Goldamn Sachs" are commonplace. Saying "fed" is like dropping the "N" word.

Holidays are now an intra-day event, spontaneous and unpredictable, since you never know when the network congestions happen, which grinds the world economy to a stop.

Will our typo'd protagonist rise from the underworld into the elite class? Can merit still thrive despite generational confirmation times and astronomical transaction fees? Stay tuned to find out

Bitcoin/Shitcoin

Could you please comment with an educated guess about Bitcoin's next dip?

I have watched several Nouriel Roubini's videos, where he basically spits on cryptos, blockchain, shitcoins, and Bitcoin.

I have to say he speaks in an authoritarian way with a lot of confidence and what seems like anger but could be associated with allergy to a radically new socio-economical paradigm that Bitcoin and blockchain space could represent.

Although he is widely regarded as an "economy" guru etc... And I respect that; his whole character really bothers me because he is just a puppet that is here to alter the truth... So here is quick destruction of the beginning of his argumentation, I will remain extremely objective and will use external sources to answer his sometimes stupid assertion when any...

  1. NR: "We don't need blockchain, we don't need crypto!" - How bold, how limited! We might not need blockchain, but we need crypto-currencies... So we need blockchain. Bitcoin is too volatile? Then use a stable coin. Below is a pretty simple description of the pro's and cons of stable coins (source: https://www.quora.com/What-are-the-advantages-and-disadvantages-of-Stablecoins-compared-to-traditional-cryptocurrencies ):

Stablecoin has a ton of points of interest.

• The most critical is that these digital currencies enable their proprietors to be moderately tranquil for their benefits, exploiting all the positive parts of cryptoeconomy.

• In certainty, stablecoins can be considered as dollars, gold, oil, etc exchanged crypto exchanges. Normally, against the foundation of different coins that don't have such an incredible base, they are substantially more steady.

For instance, we will take Tether. 1 USDT dependably had an estimation of 1 U.S. dollar. Practically speaking the most extreme expense of USDT was $1,05, and least — $0,92. Be that as it may, there was it at the snapshots of solid variances of the cryptomarket and the negative occasions associated with the working of the cash, for example, breaking and robbery of benefits for the aggregate over $30 million which has occurred in the fall of 2017.

• During the most grounded fall of digital money showcase before the New Year, when numerous monetary standards dropped more than 30-70%, Tether again held out inside 8%. It isn't comprehended what will happen explicitly with USDT because of how designers respond to the occasions, however in itself guaranteeing the money with the dollar desires supported.

• In certainty, an amazing dollar stablecoin will enable us to utilize the USD on cryptoexchanges. Presently numerous trades don't bolster fiat, and those that help, generally speaking, require the client to pass confirmation.

The digital forms of money gave real qualities can be utilized in regular day to day existence, in little and medium business nearly without fears.

Blockchain innovation enables the holder to make sure that his money is truly furnished with an advantage.

Disadvantages of Stablecoin

Be that as it may, stablecoin has various disservices and they don't enable it to make a noteworthy challenge to driving digital forms of money:

• Stablecoin, in contrast to regular cryptographic forms of money, does not bode well to use as a venture resource. In the event that $ 100 stablecoins were purchased for $ 100, at that point in two years they will at present expense $ 100, paying little mind to what will happen to the dollar.

• Stablecoin, binded to a customary resource, ends up being reliant on it and on the customary money related structure, which involves dangers not found in regular cryptographic forms of money.

• Some clients aren't sure that the official to a customary financial framework can give a decentralizovannost, and to the proprietor — obscurity.

• Finally, if the digital currency speaks to a code which is recorded in the memory of the PC, at that point the customary resource frequently requests exceptional capacity conditions, assets for giving these conditions, etc.

As per Bitcoin: It is a speculative asset, not a currency that can be used to simply exchange value. In order for Bitcoin to become a currency, a country should make Bitcoin as its own national currency and should accept having no control over its own currency price fluctuation...

  1. "NR: I would say 99% of crypto-currencies are worth 0" - If you know well, just short them... Skin in the game...

  2. NR: "Why would I want to trust somebody in Russia or somebody in China to validate my transactions?" - Although we can not rationally explain this sentence, let's still suppose that all the Bitcoin transactions are validated by Russian and Chinese, as Nouriel seems to believe, then the reason are simple. a) It is faster b) It is cheaper c) It is safer d) It is 100% reliable d) It is more stable e) It is more transparent f) Ask former Lehman Brother's clients' why they might prefer using Bitcoin or other decentralized crypto currency...

  3. NR: "To me this entire space has been the mother and the father of all financial bubbles" Come on! We are just out of the 2008 financial crisis that wiped:

  • 23.1 million Americans, or 15% of the public, are out of work or unable to find full-time jobs using the broadest measure of unemployment, or U-6.
  • 9.3 million Americans have lost their health insurance.
  • 11 million homeowners, almost 1 in 4, are saddled with mortgages higher than the value of their homes. https://finance.yahoo.com/blogs/daily-ticker/2008-financial-crisis-cost-americans-12-8-trillion-145432501.html So who is the mother of all bubbles now? It's 5 minutes of research... No need to be a top economist like Nouriel to find those numbers. The whole crypto space never even reached USD 1 Trillion. So it appears to me that someone has a cow it milks happily and doesn't want to have them free... And then, of course, the Dot Com bubble, out of which not even 1% of companies have survived... https://www.investopedia.com/terms/d/dotcom-bubble.asp

I mean, I could go on and on and on, but having someone so famous that really lies so much with impunity makes me sick.

And tired actually... So yeah...

Bitcoin worth £900,000 seized from hacker to compensate victims.

What is bitcoin?

“Inevitably in any case like this there will have to be a further hearing after this,” the prosecuting counsel, Kevin Barry, told the court. “As the court recognises today, as do the parties, there is likely to be fluctuation which will require in due course for the order to be amended upwards or downwards.”

The Metropolitan police had also seized a much smaller amount in other cryptocurrencies, including ethereum and bitcoin cash, after a lengthy investigation, codenamed Operation Draba.

About £200,000 in bitcoin was being held by the FBI under its own investigation, and had been frozen on the request of the Crown Prosecution Service, Barry told reporters.

Though police were already in control of the assets, the defendant must legally agree to the default sentence because he may have refused to sell the assets. The cryptocurrency was seized by the Met after West was caught on a train from Rhyl to London with his “fingers on the keyboard”.

A judge has ordered the confiscation of bitcoin worth more than £900,000 from a jailed hacker in the first case of its kind for the Metropolitan police.

Grant West, 27 – previously described as a “one-man cybercrime wave” – had about £1m-worth of the cryptocurrency seized from a number of accounts after in September 2017, but the value of bitcoin has since fluctuated radically, complicating attempts to compensate victims. Proceedings in Southwark crown court on Friday morning were temporarily stalled as the order signed by West agreeing to the confiscation of the cryptocurrency related to a higher amount than that which was confiscated. Eventually announcing the order under the Proceeds of Crime Act, the judge, Joanna Korner QC, said: “I therefore order a confiscation of that amount, to be paid as a way of compensation to the losers.” She said West would spend an additional four years in jail if he refused. He has agreed to comply with the order. UK authorities have been in possession of 82 bitcoin previously obtained by West through criminal activity since before his sentencing. Unlike fiat currencies, there is no centralised exchange rate for the currency, which rose in value to almost £18,000 a bitcoin in December 2017 before falling below £7,000 in May 2018. The value of the seized assets was calculated by authorities on Friday at a rate of about £8,500 a bitcoin. It was being held by authorities in secure accounts and would be sold on the open market in due course by an agent of the crown, Barry said. The head of the Met’s cybercrime unit, DCI Kirsty Goldsmith, said: “The MPS is committed to ensuring that individuals who are committing criminality on the dark web are identified, prosecuted and their criminal assets are seized … I am very proud of my team for bringing this offender to justice and ensuring we have secured this order.”

Using the online identity “Courvoisier”, he carried out cyber-attacks over two and a half years on more than 100 companies and organisations worldwide including Sainsbury’s, Asda, Uber, the British Cardiovascular Society and the bookmakers Ladbrokes and Coral. He sold the information on the dark web and collected his profits in online caches. Officers discovered about 78m individual usernames and passwords along with 63,000 credit and debit card details stored on an SD card recovered from his address. Masquerading as the food delivery service Just Eat between July and December 2016, he also attempted to obtain the email addresses of more than 160,000 people through an unsuccessful phishing scam, which cost the company about £200,000. West started trading on the dark web in March 2015 and completed more than 47,000 sales from an online “store”, the Met said. Along with financial data, he also sold cannabis, which he shipped to customers, as well as how to guides instructing others how to carry out cyber-attacks.

Why use your own full node? Answered by Pieter Wuille

BaFin Launches Market Survey Into Crypto Derivatives
Germany’s financial regulator BaFin has launched a survey that contains 19 questions in five subject blocks and is aimed at all market participants, including investors, consumer protection associations, providers, and issuers, as well as interest groups. With the survey, BaFin intends to build “a detailed picture of the market of derivatives featuring cryptocurrencies as an underlying asset and its potential risks.”
According to the Financial Services Supervision Act, the authority is “committed to the protection of collective consumer interests” and, against this background, observes and analyzes “the market situation with regard to possible consumer protection issues.”

PBoC Official: It’s Not Appropriate To Launch Global Stablecoin Currently
MU Changchun, head of the Digital Currency Research Institute at the People’s Bank of China (PBoC), claimed at the 10th Caixin Summit held on Nov 10 that it is not appropriate to introduce a global stablecoin until legal, regulatory and risk-control issues are resolved.
“The global stablecoin ecosystem as a whole can be subject to systemically important supervision. It is not appropriate to introduce a global stablecoin currently until legal, regulatory, risk-control and other issues are resolved,” he said, adding that “the only effective response for China is to maintain and enhance the status of Chinese yuan in the basket of global reserve currencies, and strive to make it be a strong currency, in order to withstand the challenge of the global stablecoin.

IRS Discovers New Ways To Catch Cryptocurrency Tax Evaders
The United States’ Internal Revenue Service (IRS) says that a recent meeting with other global tax authorities has given it much deeper insight into how to track those using cryptocurrency to avoid paying taxes. The meeting comes as part of a renewed effort from the IRS to clamp down on tax avoidance facilitated by digital currency.
Collectively known as the Joint Chiefs of Global Tax Enforcement, representatives of tax authorities from the US, UK, Australia, Canada, and the Netherlands shared their own experiences dealing with the issue of cryptocurrency tax avoidance at the recent forum. The IRS now believes it is more equipped than previously to go after those attempting to hide from the taxman under the guise of cryptocurrency.

In the past few days, bitcoin consolidated in a range above the $9,000 support against the US Dollar. However, the bulls failed to protect losses, resulting in a downside break below the key $9,000 support area.

Additionally, there was a break below the 50% Fib retracement level of the upward move from the $7,317 low to $10,578 high. More importantly, there was a break below a major contracting triangle with support near $9,180 on the 4-hours chart of the BTC/USD pair.

It opened the doors for more losses below the $8,920 support and the 100 simple moving average (4-hours). The decline was strong and bitcoin even settled below the $8,800 level.

At the moment, the price is consolidating below the $9,000 and $8,900 levels. An immediate support is near the $8,600 and $8,560 levels. Moreover, the 61.8% Fib retracement level

How Adoption Will Look Next Year and Beyond

One prediction was that banks and financial institutions would become increasingly interested in blockchain-based solutions, particularly for cross-border payments. This was borne out by the adoption or trialling of blockchain-based cross-border payments systems by, among others, HSBC, Wells Fargo, Standard Chartered, Mastercard, 60 banks in Latin America, Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank, the Bank of Thailand, the National Bank of Cambodia, and by Deutsche Bank and other banks joining JPMorgan's Interbank Information Network.

Another prediction was that security tokens would rise in prominence. This has been proven true to some extent, insofar as there have been more security token offerings (STOs) in 2019 than there were in 2018, with the total for the first half of the year (55) outnumbering the total for all of its predecessor (35).

Lastly, one other big prediction was that many of the big initial coin offerings (ICOs) of 2018 (and 2017) would actually begin launching their products in 2019, something which would usher in greater adoption. Once again, this has only been partly true: the mainnets of Filecoin and Hdac (two of the five biggest ICOs of 2017) are still waiting to be launched next year, while Sirin Labs (another of the 2017 big five) ended up axing 25% of its staff after disappointing sales of its Finney smartphone.

2020: halving, DeFi, payments and gaming

So what is likely to be big, or at least get bigger, in 2020? Well, perhaps the biggest milestone on the horizon is the Bitcoin mining reward halving due to take place in May, something which experts believe will increase demand for the cryptocurrency.

Bitcoin analyst Simon Dingle tells Cryptonews.com, "This will further restrict supply, and I expect demand for Bitcoin to continue increasing throughout the year."

One other potential winner is decentralized finance (DeFi). This sub-sector has already witnessed some gains in 2019, but crypto analyst Lou Kerner thinks one particular event taking place towards the end of November will set it up for a very good 2020.

"I think Multi-Collateral Dai, coming out November 18th, will be a major milestone in DeFi," he tells Cryptonews.com. "New features include the Dai Savings Rate (DSR), which establishes an entirely new dimension for innovative Maker protocol integrations on the backend of DeFi dapps (decentralized apps)."

Blockchain-based payment networks and platforms are also likely to see more use, with other companies likely to follow Facebook's lead in announcing their own versions of Libra, which itself is scheduled to be launched next year (conditions permitting).

"We believe that there will be substantial growth in payment related blockchain projects and payment-oriented cryptocurrencies in 2020," says Filipe Castro, the CIO at crypto payments service Utrust.

"This expected growth is due to multiple factors including the expansion and diversification of stablecoin models, new private and government-led central bank digital currency initiatives (Libra, e-Yuan) and sheer market size."

Charles Phan of crypto exchange Interdax believes that two slightly less hyped up areas will grow in 2020."Gaming is another area of crypto that is gaining traction," he tells Cryptonews.com.

"With the roll-out of the Lightning Network we have seen Lightnite, a Fortnite-inspired game where players can earn a small amount of bitcoins. Recently, the venture arm of Blockchain (one of the biggest cryptocurrency companies in the world) invested in the blockchain game technology firm Enjin which shows that they think the crypto-gaming play is likely to be profitable."

Phan also thinks that cryptocurrencies belonging to exchanges, such as Binance Coin and Huobi Token, will grow. "Exchange tokens are likely to continue to display strength in 2020 as more traders enter the crypto ecosystem and exchanges continue to innovate," he adds. "These tokens incentivise traders to provide liquidity to the platform and reward them with lower trading fees."

Beyond 2020: central coins and global recession fueled adoption

Looking further into the future, one more element of the crypto ecosystem is likely to enjoy wider adoption over the next decade.

"Central bank digital currencies (CBDCs) will gain traction as an idea and we may even see one launch, with China and Switzerland the most likely to take the lead in this regard," predicts Vaibhav Kadikar, the founder and CEO of decentralized prediction market platform CloseCross.

But as Charles Phan explains, this will take more than one year, due to the cumbersome and cautious nature of central banks and governments.

"We are looking at a timescale of five years according to IBM and the Official Monetary Institutions Forum, while ING’s chief economist predicted that we’ll see a CBDC from a G20 country in the next 2-3 years," he says.

And more generally, coming years could speed up cryptocurrency ownership, particularly if regional and/or global recessions occur.

"I don't know when, but eventually we will have to pay the price for central banks printing money on overdrive, while debt has escalated to unimaginable levels," says Simon Dingle. "A massive global recession is on the cards, and when it arrives we should see a whole new appreciation for deflationary and decentralized cryptocurrency."
