Satoshi Lives

We know that Satoshi was partial to Ring Signatures and Stealth Addresses as evidenced in bitcointalk.com

On authority from inside Japan it has been said that the paranoid Yakuza leadership pressured Satoshi into making Bitcoin traceable against his wishes.

The Yakuza wanted to know if the converted Yen paid to the Japanese Government in the form of bribes was to be used against them.

The Yakuza demanded transparency from Satoshi so they would have an advantageous blackmail tactic in the event they were double crossed by the Japanese Government in respect of Japan’s drug trade.

The Yakuza and it’s affiliated gangs control drug trafficking in Japan, especially that of methamphetamine.

This is a major factor in why Bitcoin first emerged and is still widely used in the underground dark net market drug scene.

Satoshi ultimately abandoned the Bitcoin project as it regrettably ended up going against his true vision for a secure, private, untraceable digital currency.

Satoshi has not touched his Bitcoins as a matter of “Honour”. He is not interested in being tracked. It was not his original vision. It has nothing to do with the money.

As for Satoshi.. He decided to involve himself with the forking of Bytecoin into BitMonero.

Monero means “Coin” in Esperanto.

“BitMonero” quite literally translates directly as “Bitcoin”.

BitMonero was to be Satoshi’s second chance.

Bitcoin 2.0

He could still remain anonymous and continue to pursue his vision through the BitMonero project.

Five of the seven lead developers for Monero remain anonymous to this day.

Satoshi walks amongst us.

Is day trading a taxable event if I sold on Coinbase, but have never actually "cashed out" and realized USD gains?

For the last few years I have day traded directly on Coinbase. Eventually I transferred all of my coins to my hardware wallet where they are still sitting. I have never actually "cashed out" and then spent that money. I have every coin I have bought since 2013.

However what I have done is bought on coinbase and then sold a few days later for USD, then used turned around and used those same USD on coinbase to buy more bitcoin. I have never deposited USD from coinbase to my bank account. I know transferring to a hardware wallet is not a taxable event, but what about when I sold the bitcoins on Coinbase for USD? Is that a gain/loss that has to be reported? Thanks for any help.

Liberland Aid Foundation (LAF) Launches Cryptocurrency Fundraising Program

Liberland Aid Foundation (LAF) Launches Cryptocurrency Fundraising Program

LAF will be working with The Giving Block for the first ever #BitcoinTuesday

The Liberland Aid Foundation, the humanitarian arm of the Free Republic of Liberland, now accepts donations via cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin. The LAF relies on the core philosophies of freedom, voluntarism and charity to guide its programme.

The vision of the Foundation is to engender trust between partner nations and assist humanitarian efforts to help to alleviate human suffering so that people can live a dignified existence in a more peaceful world.

President of Liberland Vit Jedlicka and his government created the Aid Foundation to reflect the nature of the new country.  “Our mission is to serve as a charitable and educational organization that allows freedom-loving people to channel their generosity into needs-based humanitarian assistance and other benevolent endeavours based on the principles of voluntary action and to promote self-help through education about entrepreneurship and markets.”

The Foundation has partnered with The Giving Block to facilitate the smooth donations of cryptocurrencies in a compliant and user friendly way.

The Giving Block was formed to make it easy for nonprofits to begin accepting cryptocurrencies. This year, they’ll be running the first ever Bitcoin Tuesday campaign (Giving Tuesday but for crypto).

As the US IRS treats cryptocurrency as property, newly created cryptocurrency millionaires are incentivised to donate cryptocurrency so that they could offset their capital gains tax. However, very few nonprofits are familiar with accepting cryptocurrency.

Established in 2018, The Giving Block now has more than 100 crypto-friendly non–profits participating in the Bitcoin Tuesday campaign.. Founders Pat Duffy and Alex Wilson vet each new nonprofit and then provide a pathway to receiving cryptocurrency donations.

It is a trusted platform used by crypto-philanthropists and nonprofits alike.

Alex Wilson said, “We are delighted to welcome the Liberland Aid Foundation to our platform and we hope the Aid Foundation is successful in attracting donations to help their causes.”

Interested cryptocurrency holders should visit the #BitcoinTuesday platform for more information on how to donate: https://bitcointuesday.org/

There are six spokes to the Liberland Aid Foundation. These include:

1. Humanitarian Aid

Needs-based humanitarian assistance is provided to people affected by disasters with particular attention to the most vulnerable victims regardless of the race, ethnic group, religion, gender, age, nationality, or political affiliation.

2. Disaster Preparedness

We provide assistance to prepare for, and mitigate the impact of, natural or man-made disasters.

3. Food Assistance

Humanitarian food assistance is provided in anticipation of, during, and in the aftermath of a crisis to save lives, and avert emergency rates of malnutrition.

4. Water Sanitation

Water, sanitation and hygiene are closely connected and essential for good public health. In emergency and crisis situations, providing access to clean water in sufficient quantity and ensuring safe and clean waste disposal is paramount.

5. Education and Training

Education helps to restore normality to those affected by crises by providing the skills necessary to be self-sufficient. Education and training are crucial for long-term stability, peace, and economic growth and to foster self-help.

6. Environmental Conservation

Quality of human life is directly affected by environmental standards. Natural resources that are not treated in a sustainable manner are quickly depleted, and communities that do not have access to recreational activity and adequate green space suffer as a result. It is crucial to conserve the earth’s natural resources and to safeguard them for long-term use and for future generations.

Nexo VS MCO

Let's say i have S$500 to invest on bitcoins, wouldn't it be smarter to put it in Nexo to earn the interest and if it raises during the Halving event, i still get to withdraw the profits, same thing MCO does but just that MCO doesn't generate interest? What's the catch here?
