PenguinShooter Update. Connect game to own node. Added Viewer integration in livestreams

Hi, I'm releasing a new version of my Lightning Network Game "PenguinShooter"

Basic info about the game:

If you don't know it already, it is a RPG in which you fight some monsters and level up.
In that game you need to do Bitcoin micropayments via LN.

You can buy monsters, weapons (e.g. apples), a tiger, open a door...

The invoices are displayed as a QR code within the game.
Check out this link for more info https://medium.com/@BR_Robin/a-bitcoin-lightning-network-powered-rpg-penguinshooter-6d36cc34de0c
Or this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZCOwVHUmIT4

Update in the new version:

- The game is now available on github https://github.com/Donno1994/PenguinShooter
You can open issues and share your thought on https://github.com/Donno1994/PenguinShooter/issues

- You can connect to your own node (also testnet). This means you can pay yourself to play it (by using a second node, for example blue wallet). This makes it free for you and if my node is down, you can still play it.

- You can livestream this game on youtube or twitch, and your viewers will be able to pay invoices which will change the gameplay.
This is actually the main topic here.
This demo game shows how Lightning payments can change the gaming industry.
If you want to try it out, you can run a webserver https://github.com/Donno1994/PenguinShooterWeb and open your browser on 127.0.0.1:8079 (if it's on the same computer as the webserver) and generate good or bad invoices. If you pay these invoices then something happens in the game. If you open your port 8079 in your router, the viewers of your livestream can access that website and send you payments which will change the game.
Instructions are on the github page linked above.

What can the viewer buy?

Read https://medium.com/@BR_Robin/user-intervention-in-livestreams-via-ln-penguinshooter-5e12bdcece49

You can support or annoy the streamer. Here are some examples.

Support:
- buy him monsters that he can fight against to lvl up
- buy him weapons/ hp/mp potions
- buy him a star (like in super mario he gets super power for some time)
- freeze all monsters for some time

Annoy:
- freeze the streamer for a few seconds
- attack him (he will loose HP)
- make all monsters angry (all monsters will attack the streamer)
- make the sun go down

Neutral:
- change ingame music (Linkin Park, Beethoven, Standard)
- chat to the ingame chat
- start the disco (will play Michael Jackson and display some fancy disco lights)

Some example videos

- How a viewer could pay an invoice and change the stream https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZCOwVHUmIT4
- Someone bought me a star which gave me super power https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wWZL6byQbGk&feature=youtu.be&t=1377
- Someone spawned some soldiers that attacked me https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wWZL6byQbGk&feature=youtu.be&t=1897
- Test video. Start a disco https://twitter.com/BR_Robin/status/1093106257727315968

This is a just a simple demo game

This game has some flaws and is not the best game in the world.
I developed it alone in my spare time. It should show what is possible with Lightning Network payments. Not more...
Probably not many people will want to livestream this game, but you can test if it works on your computer and see that payments via a website affect the events in your game. It should be a proof of Concept and show that it's already possible with LN.
I would be happy if there are some people out there who try to do a livestream and let the viewers pay some invoices.
I streamed two time on Youtube and it was much fun when strangers tipped me satoshis to spawn monsters in the game, freeze me or buy me a new life.
I just don't have enough follower to do an entertaining stream.
That said, if you want to give it a try, i would be very happy. You can connect to your own node and keep the money that you raise! You will find the instructions on the github page.

Advice on how to guide an auto maintenance shop to accept Bitcoin as payment

Hello- I have a friend who owns an auto maintenance shop. He has recently changed his policy that if paid with CC then a 3.99% service charged will be added onto your bill. He paid over $25k to the credit card companies last year so I understand the surcharge.

Does anyone have any ideas on how he can start accepting Bitcoin and possibly have it auto converted back to fiat? He is not very technical nor am I for that matter. However I want to suggest that BTC might be a viable option for him to save money and retain customers. I don’t even know if he has knowledge of Bitcoin other than what most people probably think when they first hear about it.

Basically I think he could save thousands of $ a year and this seems like a good use case. Any advice is greatly appreciated!!

How To Protect Your Computer From CryptoLocker Ransomware Malware ?hacking

CryptoLocker is an especially insidious form of Ransomeware malware that was first detected in the wild in September 2013, restricts access to infected computers and requires victims to pay a ransom in order to regain full access.

What makes CryptoLocker so bad is the way it encrypts the user data on your hard drive using a strong encryption method. This makes it literally impossible to access your own data without paying the ransom amount to the criminals between $100 and $300 or two Bitcoins, even now more.
Once affected you will be locked out of your computer and unless you pay the ransom amount in 72 hours , the virus will delete the decryption key to decrypt all the files on your PC .
The malware lands on PCs the same way other malware does and a few sensible precautions will help minimize the chances of a CrytoLocker attack.

Yesterday, we reported that - UK's National Crime Agency has given out an urgent national alert that a mass spamming event targeting 10 million UK based email users with CryptoLocker.

NoTe- How to spy WhatsApp, Cloning and Copy of conversation histories

- Hack accounts Hotmail, Yahoo, Outlook, Facebook, Gmail, Twitter, Skype. Corporate email accounts.

- Intervention, Copy of information and tracking of mobile devices (SmartPhones Android and iPhone)

- Change Notes, University Qualifications, Academic History. - Copy of Access Login to Intranet and / or University Portals.

- Remote Access to Computers.- We change university grades 2019 - Change Ratings. GgMmAaIiLl ----- sami.hacking

What if your computer gets compromised? Currently there is no option to decrypt the files without the decryption key and brute forcing a file encrypted with 2048 bit encryption is almost impossible. If you don’t pay the ransom, you forever lose access to everything you’ve been working on which is stored on your computer.

A few things you can do to prevent your PC from getting infected with the CryptoLocker virus:

  • Most viruses are introduced by opening infected attachments or clicking on links to malware usually contained in spam emails. Avoid opening emails and attachments from unknown sources, especially zip or rar archive files.
  • Most people have some anti-virus program, but how do you know it’s effective? Ensure you have best one active and up-to-date.
  • Also keep your operating system and software up-to-date.
  • Keep a backup. If you have a real-time backup software then make sure that you first clean the computer and then restore the unencrypted version of the files.
  • Create files in the Cloud and upload photos to online accounts like Flickr or Picasa.
  • Windows 7 users should set up the System Restore points or, if you are using Windows 8, configure it to keep the file history.

  • Make sure you have reformatted your hard drive to completely remove the CryptoLocker trojan before you attempt to re-install Windows and/or restore your files from a backup.

There are many free tools now available in the community, that can help users to protect their systems from this malware.

PAX Pago will be a borderless payment and settlement platform. The project provides transparent transactions and will be a medium of stability in the event of economic turmoil

In the highly lucrative business of money transfers, global leader Western Union does not appear to be overly concerned about blockchain-based cryptocurrency money movement competitors. Upstarts in the crypto money transfer space advertise lower money transfer fees using bitcoin, but Western Union counters that the ease of use and ubiquity of their existing systems, and lack of customer demand for crypto-based systems, do not offer enough of an incentive to change course. PAX Pago is utilized as payment for items produced, products sold or services rendered. Our platform offers high-speed reliable transfer, and enables transparent information flow in addition to Combating problems of inflation, inefficient public services, and slow technological advances. PAX Pago is utilized as payment for items produced, products sold or services rendered

We look at history when we intend to make a prediction about future events. Have there been any similar incident in the past? How did the incident end? Many people believe the future can be predicted partially. In late 2013, The price of Bitcoin went from $100 to about $1,000 after a series of very positive events (culminating in the famous Bitcoin Lovefest Senate Hearing). Many of the current cryptocurrency blockchain founders were apart of the industry, but only really got serious about the industry after this event. What followed this was a long bear market that didn’t fully bottom out until January of 2016, and didn’t fully recover until 2017. While the industry kept active and continued to innovate, the market didn’t reflect this change until 2017.bIf we look at what the overall market looks like today, it’s easy to see a resemblance to this event I’m not one to rely on similar looking charts to make decisions about a market, but the circumstances and the subject matter are too similar to chalk up to coincidence. PAX Pago will be a borderless payment and settlement platform. The project provides transparent transactions and will be a medium of stability in the event of economic turmoil. Independent from economic cycles, the project builds an ecosystem supporting the trading of goods and services. The goal is to return liberty into the hands of citizens by opening new channels of commerce. PAX Pago is utilized as payment for items produced, products sold or services rendered. Our platform offers high-speed reliable transfer, and enables transparent information flow in addition to Combating problems of inflation, inefficient public services, and slow technological advances. PAX Pago will be a medium of exchange.

TEAMZ Blockchain Summit Tokyo: 2019 Bitcoin And Cryptocurrency Conference - Bitcoin Exchange Guide

https://bitcoinexchangeguide.com/teamz-blockchain-summit-tokyo/

What Is Bitcoin and the Blockchain and Why It Is Very important to Invest Today

What is Blockchain?

The term blockchain has been applied in numerous cultural and corporate talks recently and every one appears to have heard about blockchain engineering, but most the populace really doesn't have thought what it actually means.

To ensure that us to obviously explain what blockchain technology actually suggests allow us to give you a quick breakdown about the annals of the way the exchange of money has evolved. Traditionally when people applied to exchange valuable items there have been middle men whose sole function was to history the credibility of equally events and build trust between them. Currently these middle men are known as banks. The usage of banks and brokers has continued as time passes and with the emergence of digital resources like inventory, electric money, and intellectual house the necessity for a better method has emerged. The reason being digital assets usually are documents in just a computer which are thus vulnerable to treatment and theft. Therefore the use of the blockchain technology helps parties to transact openly and transparently ensuring that the trade is protected and efficient.

The Potential of Bitcoin

Blockchain has the capability of completely disrupting the financial industry exactly the same was social networking disrupted mainstream press or exactly the same way Betflix destroyed Hit films. Blockchain engineering has got the potential of being used as a software that gives financial solutions to every one on the part of the earth, this includes people in building places who might not need the access to old-fashioned banking solutions and cannot afford the charges required to produce big transactions. This engineering has got the potential of earning significant breakthroughs in nearly all key industries that are usually controlled by big corporations.

The usage of Blockchain engineering in Education

Blockchain technology in training may be used to determine the students that really need the scholarships and those who are able it. The reason being several students have been bypassing the system and finding financing. This would actually become detrimental to the needy students who wind up dropping out or accruing lots of debt that triggers them to benefit nearly.

Last but not least, a wide array of the populace may possibly currently be hiding their heads in the sand because they hope blockchain to disappear completely but this little bit of technology is definitely going nowhere. In the long run we will all be trading using blockchain as part of our activities our good grandchildren can learn about money and ATM models just as how we find out about barter trade and gold. It is therefore crucial that individuals join the camp the moment probable and get altered before we're forced to adjust. litecoin price

The blockchain identifies a public ledger technology where each cryptocurrency purchase is digitally signed to verify their individuality and ensure that the data therein isn't interfered with. Therefore, the procedures noted on the blockchain and the ledger it self are regarded as of the best amount of integrity.

In the first times of cryptocurrency, people thought that blockchain was about bitcoin. Nowadays, it's quickly getting evident that the technology is about more than simply bitcoin, or electronic currencies for that matter. But while blockchain has got the potential to revolutionize virtually every industry, nowhere can its affect become more evident than in charitable giving.

How to stay safe and keep your Bitcoin secure in a public world

https://i.redd.it/xenxkzqdqnk21.png

In today’s world, everything is shared. From Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, to Reddit, millennials do one thing really good – they share details about their life daily online with complete strangers, giving anyone a direct view into their personal lives, habits, and even their financials.

There is an old saying that dates back ages, “never tell anyone how much money you make.” This saying came about for several reasons, such as people may begin to judge you and also, because of personal security. If strangers know your wealth, you instantly become a target. When it comes to Bitcoin, the heightened level of security becomes even more paramount because although Bitcoin is extremely secure, the way you store them can be vulnerable to attackers if security precautions are not taken seriously.

Mum’s the word

If you go around telling people on social media that you invested in Bitcoin a few years ago and now the price has doubled or tripled, people will know you have made a lot of money and will want to target you. If you share a lot of personal details about yourself online, they can begin to piece together information and target you physically, digitally or both. It’s one thing to say you are invested in Bitcoin generally speaking, it’s another to divulge how much exactly, when, and how much you have gained. This opens you up to all kinds of scrutiny which makes you a target to really bad people out there.

Using common sense is probably your best tool in this new sharing-world. Privacy is important. Just like the old saying goes, the same applies in today’s world of social media and digital cash.

How to stay safe in this public world

It’s highly recommended that you keep your Bitcoin in two different kinds of wallets. A spending “hot” wallet and a savings “cold” storage wallet.

The premise behind a hot wallet is that it’s used for spending only. Think of it as walk around money that is used as cash. You keep small-to-medium sized amounts of Bitcoin in your hot wallet. Typically hot wallets are held on your mobile device and used daily for spending. For a hot spending wallet, download the Bitcoin.com Wallet to get started today. It’s safe, secure, and is the go-to wallet for millions of people around the world.

For a cold wallet, also called a cold storage wallet, the premise is to keep your Bitcoin savings there which won’t be used daily, but used occasionally (for example to refill your hot wallet when you are low on funds). Cold wallets can be stored completely offline, for example with paper wallets that you can create yourself, which is a super cost effective and safe way to store your coins offline. Read our guide on how to setup a cold storage wallet. Another method is to use a hardware wallet. These are safe wallets made with security in mind and have many more features than a paper wallet to keep your coins secure but give you added feature sets such as signing keys offline and defense against malware and other types of attack that a simple paper wallet won’t provide. Hardware wallets are physical devices that are sold by manufacturers.

Other helpful Bitcoin security tips

Staying secure doesn’t have to be hard if you follow basic security practices. Here are 10 tips to help keep you safe:

  1. Never share your password with anyone.
  2. Use a password manager so you aren’t reusing passwords.
  3. Never share your Bitcoin backup passphrase (recovery seed) with anyone.
  4. Never share your Bitcoin private key with anyone.
  5. Do not reuse Bitcoin addresses (most modern wallets don’t do this anymore).
  6. Don’t post your email address, home address or phone number on social media.
  7. Always keep your computer anti-virus up to date so you don’t download malware.
  8. Always backup your wallet and do it periodically.
  9. For cold storage wallets and backup wallet passphrases at home, store them in a fireproof safe.
  10. Use Two Factor Authentication (2FA) everywhere.

The top red flags to check out before making a cryptocurrency investment

Cryptocurrency investments and digital assets are gaining attraction of investors across the board as they offer an alternative to traditional assets. However, in the past two years, investors in the digital asset market have witnessed the most volatile period in the last decade as prices of most coins and tokens shot up over 1000% since launch. The hike in price is still in effect today, totally oblivious, to the longest bear run Bitcoin (BTC) has had in history.

However, the field has not been all rosy. During the massive bull run of 2017, the industry was filled with ICO scams and exit scams which saw many investors lose their investments. Notwithstanding, the number of hacks on cryptocurrency exchanges was on a high as investors lost close to a billion dollars to hackers. Such unfortunate events are pushing potential investors and governments from the field.

Below are some of the red flags that new and existing investors should look out for before making a cryptocurrency investment.

Target market and Hype

1. FOMO and Multi-level marketing schemes

“Bill Gates is buying coin X” “Gain 100% in less than 24 hours”

The advertisements of most cryptocurrency scams offer false promises to the investor the however that promise to investors is usually not delivered.  Beware of exchanges and other cryptocurrency investments that also ask you to deposit some cryptocurrency in their wallets and gain crazy interest on your investment.

This points to a multilevel marketing scheme where the earliest entrants gain hugely and the rest of the members down the pyramid lose out.

2. “The wolf of Wall Street”

Those familiar with the movie, “The wolf of wall street” understand the analogy of pump and dump schemes. This is a scheme to which certain parties buy in a useless asset and fame it to attract more buyers. Once the price hits the peak, the big early buyers sell off the cryptocurrency leading to a huge crash on the coin and large loses to unsuspecting buyers. These coins are usually pushed with catchy but fake quotes on the platform as shown above.

3. General market cases

The market is filled with duplicated projects offering a bright future or revolutionary ideas to the global economy. Blockchain is being used as the solution to everything and while I agree the application scaling is important, having a coin for everything is not ideal. People do not want to use a new coin to buy bread, another to pay for a haircut, or pay for subscription. Eliminating the cryptocurrencies that offer similar use cases to what we have in Bitcoin and other better technologies should be key before making your investment.

Initial Coin Offering

4. Team

A simple rules applies when it comes to making a statement on legitimacy of any project – leadership of the project. The team shows the seriousness of the project and the ability to carry the development of the project towards its goals. A lack of a solid team, no advisory or few advisors, no industrial diversity in the team and an anonymous team are all indicators of a failing project.

5. Allocation to team

Team members are supposed to work on the project’s development and for this they require compensation. However, a common trend for scams in the industry is allocating unreasonable amounts to the team.

Having less than 10% is a favorable amount to the team. These projects allocates in excess of 30% share of the total supply which shows greed on part of the team members.

6. No Vesting period

A lack of holding period once the initial token offering is complete may lead to a selloff before even development of the project takes off. A lack of the vesting period, which ranges from weeks to months, shows venerability of the token. However there are exceptions to the rule but to be on the safer side you will need to check the credibility of the project.

Technical outlay of the cryptocurrency

7. Repositories

One of the key indicators of a legitimate public cryptocurrency project is a public repository with active commits on GitHub or GitLab. This shows that there exists a number of engineers working on the project. Furthermore, given that most of the cryptocurrencies are fueled by the vision and goals of the development team, working repositories should be a key factor to look at before investing in cryptocurrencies. This especially affects the long term investors.

8. Funding

One of the key steps to further development of the project is funding bar some exceptions such as Bitcoin. However, with the rise of tokenization, most of the developers require venture capital funding to keep developing the project. If the project runs dry, as witnessed throughout 2018, developers are bound to flee leaving the company at a disadvantage.

9. Whitepaper

One key issue that novice investors leave out when selecting a crypto investment is the whitepaper. Well, it is understandable due to difficulty to understand the technical terms used in whitepapers – even business whitepapers. All the same, there exists projects that lack the whitepaper altogether or have a directly copy pasted whitepaper from another website. Beware of such cryptocurrencies as they are likely to be scam projects.

10. Other scams

The list above is in no way exhaustive of the risks involved in cryptocurrency investment. Other risks include mistakes on the website or whitepaper, listed on no or little exchanges, ability to print more cryptocurrency in the future without community approval etc.
