I installed and synced bitcoin core 0.17.0 on Ubuntu 18.04. I would like to set up a lightning node as well.

Is there a recent guide available to walk me through it? I looked around but most guides are older or for other configurations. Can I use ZAP with core? Or should I go with LND? It sounds like I need to use TOR with LND. Is that correct?

But i have to be honest. I don’t think a lot will happen on Proof of Keys day. Although it should be a annual event to spread awareness.

Until now i just bought and hold my coins on my exchange account. In the 4 years I’ve been trading in cryptos I’ve never had any problems.

But that’s just pure ignorance and a bit of luck. So i just bought a Trezor and will fill it up after Christmas.

US SEC suspends American Retail Group transactions

According to the Bitcoin change guide news, on December 22, US local time, the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) suspended the American Retail Group transaction. Because it has fraudulent behavior against investors, it says it has partnered with the SEC's custodian that allows encryption services to be offered for token distribution.
