Thread guidelines:

  • Be excellent to each other.
  • All regular rules for this subreddit apply, except for number 2. This, and only this, thread is exempt from the requirement that all discussion must relate to bitcoin trading.
  • This is for high quality discussion of altcoins. All shilling or obvious pumping/dumping behavior will result in an immediate one day ban. This is your only warning.
  • No discussion about specific ICOs. Established coins only.

If you're not sure what kind of discussion belongs in this thread, here are some example posts. News, TA, and sentiment analysis are great, too.

So you want to stream...

Let me start this off with this is NOT a comprehensive, end-all-be-all guide to 'how to setup a livestream.' This is simply the workflow/setup I've come to use over 4 years of on and off streaming on Twitch. Hopefully it can help some of yall out that are (finally XD) joining the livestream world. *I only stream on Twitch using OBS, so this will be specific to Twitch and OBS; I have not tried YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, or any other platform or streaming software, but the basic outline is kind of there.

Hardware: 2x 1200's, Rane TTM57sl mixer with Serato Scratch Live, Samsung laptop, Behringer Xenyx 802 USB mixer, Shure SM57 mic, Pansonic GH2 or Logitech webcam (depends on if I'm using green screen or not), and then my gaming PC is my streaming PC. For speakers, I have a Yahama receiver running a 5.1 system that I use with my gaming/streaming PC. It's not the best setup for DJ'ing necessarily, as the receiver can add quite a bit of latency, but if there is any now, I barely notice it. I run the receiver in 5 channel stereo, and turn off any signal processing that I can.

Audio setup: I run 1/4" out of the booth outputs on the TTM57 into the Behringer mixer (this is for the stream audio). Then I have RCA -> 1/8" from the aux out on the TTM57 into the aux input on my receiver for my 'monitors.' I run the mic (XLR) into the Behringer mixer as well. The Behringer connects via USB to my stream PC.

Camera setup: I either use an HDMI to USB3.0 capture card with my GH2 or a Logitech USB webcam. All it takes is plugging it into the stream PC. Easy enough.

OBS setup: There are a TON of YouTube and written tutorials to setup OBS, but they generally focus on gaming and not so much DJ'ing. I won't go into too much detail, but will point out stuff more particular for DJ'ing. This is my main OBS screen. Have everything plugged in and turned on before you open OBS to make sure it picks up your USB devices (USB mixer and camera). Should go without saying, but also make sure you have your drivers installed for the devices.

The only audio I want outputting to the stream is from the Behringer mixer, so the desktop audio and camera audio are muted. Aside from the camera and mixer, all of the other sources in my source window are optional. (If you're curious as to why Winamp is in there, I can add details on that in a later post)

Output settings:

[Imgur](https://imgur.com/p2mIfvC)

Video bitrate will depend on your ISP, your upload speed, and your streaming PC hardware. I've had to drop mine down to 2500kbps from my usual 3500kbps recently. I guess with everyone at home using the interwebs, my connection seems a lot more unstable than even a month ago. I set the audio bitrate to 320kbps, but I think Twitch ends up compressing it to 192kbps for viewers. Recording settings are optional, I only recommend streaming and recording at the same time if you have a decently powerful streaming computer. Better to record just the audio in your DJ software to upload the mix later. Twitch will mute any replays with copywritten material, so I upload to Mixcloud for archiving. I run the mic through the Behringer mixer versus the mic input on my Rane mixer because I talk to chat, and it's annoying listening back to mixes with me yammering through parts. My GPU recently kicked the bucket (still works on default Windows drivers...which has caused some bottlenecks when it comes to streaming, but I can still do it) so for now I'm using software encoding, but if you have the option for hardware encoding, use it.

Video Settings

[Imgur](https://imgur.com/2AjjHnL)

Leave your base canvas at 1920x1080, but you want your output at 1280x720. I haven't really noticed a difference in the various downscale filters, but bicubic is what I use. 30fps is best for your viewers, as it's less demanding than running 60fps, but that's really up to you.

Twitch:

Twitch takes some getting used to; whether it's the website itself or the community/culture. The music community is very welcoming (especially now), and I encounter far less trolls there than in gaming channels. There's a lot of people there now trying to figure everything out, so don't feel like you're late to the party. If you want to try to make some money, you'll want to setup a donation site. Can be a simple PayPal link, Bitcoin link, or you can use something like streamelements or streamlabs. Those two extensions add other things like chatbots, commands (ie: a viewer can type !mixcloud in my chat will send a message in chat with my Mixcloud link), follower/subscriber/donator notifications. All of those are customizable, but I'd recommend just using the default stuff before making custom notifications and such. It can be a bit of a time sink..but then again I guess we got nothing but time right now. After you get up and going with a few streams, set your sights on reaching affilate. It's not that difficult to get, nor do you lose it if you don't keep up with the requirements to get it. You can then make custom channel emotes (again, another time sink, or there are a ton of artists out there that can make them for you) and accept subscriptions and bits.

Twitch is owned by Amazon, so if you're a Prime member, link your Amazon account and you get a free subscription you can give to one streamer per month. It doesn't auto renew, so you can change it every month, but it is a nice 'gift' to give to streamers to help support them. Dark Sith Lord Bezos does take 50% of the $5/month cost of a base subscription (whether a Prime sub or paid for), so if you really want to help a streamer, use donations. But if you already have Prime, may as well throw the free sub around to someone.

At the end of your stream, you can 'raid' another streamer. All it is is taking your viewers and dumping them into the channel of another streamer. I generally try to find other DJ's that are playing the same/similar genre that I think my viewers would stick around for; or just other DJ's I like. Then there's 'hosting.' That is when you are offline, but your channel is playing another stream. There are auto-host settings so that you don't have to manually host channels while you're offline. Between being raided (it's pretty much random and up to other streamers; don't beg) and raiding others, it's kind of the best way to get your channel out and exposed. But, don't make it about view counts or followers. Do it because you want to mix, no other reason. The music section has all of a sudden been saturated by DJ's/record labels due to the pandemic; there's a lot of people new to Twitch who don't know there's a bunch of other DJ's in the music category, so just keep going and you'll find an audience.

Other thoughts:

I love streaming on Twitch. I've done several 6+ hour streams in my time there. If you come from only playing out live, it's a big adjustment. There's no crowd energy to work off of; sometimes chat can give that to you, but it can be hard when you're just in your room by yourself. I personally find it hard to mix heavier/harder stuff for more than 30-45 minutes at a time, so a lot of my mixes have been more chill and kind of downtempo as I can stay in that vibe for longer periods. I've met a lot of really awesome DJ's in my time there, and it's great seeing so many more looking for a creative outlet now that we're on global quarantine. Hopefully after some semblance of normality is restored, people will continue to livestream and the viewers keep coming back. I know this has been a giant wall of text, so apologies, but hopefully it gives someone something to go off of. Let me know if anyone has any specific questions or needs clarification on anything. Happy streaming!

Kraken Support Number 1+(855*266*9652)------ Aa$%#d@#$@

The Kraken Cryptocurrency trade is really accessible worldwide and it is accessible for the most part in the USA. One of the primary advantages of this trade is the distinction that it has. It is known to be among the best 3 names of the significant Bitcoin Exchanges. There is a really assorted matching scope of various exchanging sets which is another of the advantages. Much the same as a portion of the other top cryptographic money trades, there is a legitimate liquidity present right now. You can dial the Kraken telephone number for more subtleties on the trade. In the event that you are keen on opening an appropriate Kraken Account, there is no uncertainty that it is entirely like the opening of a record on some different stages. Their information exchanges will not be unknown. On the off chance that you are anticipating opening an essential exchanging account, there are some close to home fundamental inquiries you need to reply.

You came here to see Kraken's phone number, the real-time current wait on hold and a way to skip right through the phone lines to get right to a Kraken agent. There's good news and bad on that: the bad news is that they don't have a phone number, but the good is that we do know how to contact Kraken anyways and help you with your issue. Over the last 18 months, 714 customers like you have come in search of a phone number for Kraken and helped us confirm they don't have one. Common reasons that people try to call Kraken customer support department include and other customer service issues. Rather than trying to call Kraken we recommend you tell us what issue you are having and then possibly contact them via web. Unfortunately, right now Kraken doesn't have any phone numbers. It's not always clear what is the best way to talk to Kraken representatives, so we started compiling this information built from suggestions from the customer community. Please keep sharing your experiences so we can continue to improve this free resource.

In short, the two companies are not related. GetHuman builds free tools and shares information amongst customers of companies like Kraken. For large companies that includes tools such as our GetHuman Phone, which allows you to call a company but skip the part where you wait on the line listening to their call technology music. We've created these shortcuts and apps to try to help customers like you (and ourselves!) navigate the messy phone menus, hold times, and confusion with customer service, especially with larger companies. And as long as you keep sharing it with your friends and loved ones, we'll keep doing it.

My two cents about the proposal 'Decred Brazil Marketing and Events'

Proposal link

Direct link to my comment there

I clarify that I'm also posting here (beyond my politeia comment) to draw attention, since the proposal is already being voted on and will soon be closed.

I know that actually there are few actively participating in Politeia, and even fewer are keeping up to date with comments on the proposal after the vote starts. So, here I'm.

As a member of the brazilian community, I would like to share my reservations about the Decred Brazil Marketing Proposal and also take the opportunity to invite everyone to participate in the discussion in the politeia system.

EMILIO AS COMMUNITY MANAGER

In case you don't know, the guy here is completely anonymous. Only a very small group of people (3 or 4 in the whole brazilian bitcoin community) know who he really is in real life (and I think Jake came to know him personally too). Ok, I fully understand (and even support) the anonymity in this ecosystem, but I really think that things would be more transparent and secure if we could know who is the person that will be managing all this money.

And more: Emilio (who will be in charge of all these DCR) NEVER personally participated in ANY Decred marketing related event. Ask members who are always at all events how many times they have seen Emilio in person at any of these events. You can verify this fact asking about it in the brazilian community.

Do you see him in any of the photos in this post? No, that's right: the brazilian community manager has NEVER ATTENDED AND PHYSICALLY PARTICIPATED IN ANY DCR EVENT. And yet, he is asking us to put more than $ 100,000 of DCR treasure in his hands to manage marketing and events in Brazil. Could you please explain to me how does that make any sense?

Please, understand that I have nothing in particular against Emilio. We all know that he really did a great job creating a Brazilian community at the beginning of DCR and also in many other efforts related to DCR. I'm just exposing reality here as it is.

SOCIAL METRICS AND THE TRUE SIZE OF THE BRAZILIAN COMMUNITY

The Decred Brasil Facebook group, despite having 5k + members, doesn't seem to have even 50 active members. Do you doubt that? Check it for yourself. Join the group and check the posts and interactions (comments, likes, etc).

For every 10 posts in the group, 7 are from Emílio, 2 are advertisements from Bitconf staff and only one really belongs to a member asking questions or is a discussion between members of the community. The Brazilian community seems to have only diminished over time (one way to analyze this is through interactions in the group's posts).

Yes, the Brazilian community is of course much bigger than those 50 active members in the group, but most of us decided to stop participating in the group due to the dictatorial behavior of the group's creator: Emilio.

Remember: brazilians are COMPLETELY ADDICTED to social networks like Facebook and Instagram. So, these are great metrics to measure social engagement in our country. Now that you've verified the group, also check out the interactions on Instagram Decred Brasil (and come on, give it a follow!).

And let's not forget YouTube: yes, it counts ALL views. Even if you are not logged in. They only distinguish between IPs. But even if the statement (that the platform only counts views of logged accounts) were correct, what matters is that the numbers are extremely low. Just compare it to other channels of crypto communities.

LOCAL MEETUPS, INCLUDING THOSE 5 THAT TOOK PLACE ON DCR'S ANNIVERSARY

Brazil has 26 states, but in how many of them have DCR done or participated in something relevant? Let's be honest here: 99% of the interest and activity related to cryptocurrencies here in Brazil is concentrated only in Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo. Don't try to use size or number of states as an argument, because it just doesn't make sense.

And about the 5 meetups that took place on Decred's birthday, they only happened because 3 to 5 DCR were PAID by Emilio to be spent on beer for anyone who gathered more than 5 people (even if it was your own family or any random friends who have no interest in crypto at all) in a bar, using swag from DCR (distributed for free, i.e., more useless expenditures from the treasury) and took pictures of if. You can also check this out in the group Decred Brasil, in Emilio's posts.

ON THE TWO MAIN EVENTS CITED BY THE PROPOSAL'S AUTHOR

1: CAMPUS PARTY

This one is indeed a big and prestigious event for the technology community. But DCR's participation in these events usually comes down to one or two 30-minute lectures with something between 20 to 30 people watching (which is great anyway, I know and agree totally with this!), and a lot of distribution of t-shirts and other swags to attendees of the event. Just remember that this is not a specific event for crypto.

And about the affirmation that "a place at Campus Party Sao Paulo costs from $ 50,000 to $ 400,000", do you have any evidence about this? Where can we find these prices? All speakers I know who have participated, were INVITED to participate and still had all their expenses paid for the event (after all, that's why the attendees buy their tickets and participate in the event).

2: BitConf (REALLY IMPORTANT INFORMATION HERE)

BitConf, was (until last year) probably the biggest cryptocurrency event in Brazil, and it used to attract many enthusiasts and investors, but over the years it has turned into an event that basically exists to enrich its creator. Any company or business can participate, as long as they pay the sponsorship fees. Since their only filter is money, it turned into a perfect opportunity for scammers and companies that act as pyramid scheme (ponzis) to convey an image of credibility and find new victims for their scams.

Mainly in the last year (2019), the Brazilian cryptocurrency community suffered SEVERELY because of this. Thousands and thousands of people have lost ALL their money and we are still watching this story unfold. Every new week, we see the news of investors who lost everything in those scams, and, sadly, it went so far that some of them took their own lives (suicide).

All this because the administrator of this event (Wladimir Crippa) accepted the sponsorship and publicly endorsed several times all those "companies" in his facebook group (Bitcoin Brasil, with 100+ thousand members), despite the several attempts of the group members to warn him and the community that those companies were clearly scams. And do you know what happened to everyone who tried to do that? They were simply banned from the group (sometimes by Emilio, who is also a moderator in that group and a long-time friend of Wladimir Crippa). At one point it got so out of control that they had to activate the approval of posts in the facebook group, and this continues until today.

SO PLEASE, IF YOU REALLY WANT TO CONTINUE ASSOCIATING AND TARNISHING THE IMAGE OF DECRED WITH THIS EVENT (BitConf), AT LEAST DO IT WITHOUT USING TREASURY MONEY.

Little detail: the event organizer is wanted by the Brazilian police. I don't remember the reason, but I'm sure it's not related to cryptocurrencies, nor is it anything recent. Anyway, it's just an additional detail.

Anyone who has doubts about all this exposed above about BITCONF, please ask publicly (just create a post) in the "free speech" BITCOIN BRASIL facebook group. This facebook group was created when the administrators of the Bitcoin Brasil group limited the members' discourse, mainly regarding the operations of these companies (ponzi schemes). There, unlike in the group managed by Wladimir and Emilio, you can write and discuss whatever you want freely, as long as it is not advertisement of financial pyramids and other scams.

ATTENTION: do not confuse this group with the "BITCOIN BRASIL - ORIGINAL". The owner of the last is also the creator of BITCONF (Wladimir Crippa) and he has banned thousands of members who 'asked inappropriate questions' about the sponsors of this event, which is simply DISGUSTING.

THE USD PURCHASE POWER IN BRAZIL

I believe that the amount requested in this proposal is ABSURD and totally out of the Brazilian reality.

The dollar is EXTREMELY VALUED in Brazil at the moment. In fact, it's at its historic highs. In other words, USD purchase power has never been greater in Brazil than it is today. That means that with fewer dollars, you do a lot more. The amount requested here is ridiculously high and the results are extremely doubtful.

FYI, the minimum monthly salary in the country is something like 200 usd or 6.6 usd/day (30 days conversion) and the national average salary in 2019 was about 455 dollars or 15 usd daily (30 days converted).

So, using the average salary as base, if each of those 18 members (who are they, exactly?) work at the events, on average, 20 days a year (I very much doubt it!!) at the events, it would cost a total of no more than $ 5500 (18 members x 20 days x 15 usd / day). Help me understand why they are charging $ 80,000 for it. Why should these people be paid almost 15 (FIFTEEN!!!) times the average Brazilian salary??

COVID-19

Finally, as mentioned in other comments, the Corona virus outbreak will directly impact those events for at least the next 4 to 6 months. I believe that most of them will not even happen in 2020.

Despite my reservations, for a maximum amount of 25% of this current budget (up to 30,000.00 USD), and after the resolution of the coronavirus crisis, I would really CONSIDER voting in favor of this proposal. But in the structure presented today, thinking about the financial health and the long-term future of the DCR treasury and development, it's a big NO for me.

Bitcoin Trading for Beginners. A Guide in Plain English

You are likely to be mandated to spend some amount of time indoors over the next few weeks. Postal services will still operate but in-person dealers may not.

Do not fall for the many bait and scam posts that will be posted on reddit. To remind people

  • Someone you meet through reddit offering to sell drugs is a scammer. Good vendors do not need to find customers through reddit.
  • Someone who offers to introduce you to their plug through reddit is a scammer. Good vendors do not need to find customers through reddit.
  • Anyone accepting non cryptocurrency payment methods is a scammer. They are looking for low hanging fruit who will not spend the couple of hours required to figure out crypto for the first time. This includes venmo, paypal, gift cards, vbucks, you name it.
  • Anyone you meet through reddit is a scammer. Just repeating this one to hammer it home.

DarkNet Markets are widespread and the reviews there meant that vendors are accountable for the products they sell. Escrow makes it impossible for vendors to take money without sending product and frankly it's so lucrative that big vendors don't need or want to. Look for the best review history, not the cheapest price.

Bitcoin used to be anonymous for a long time but it has always been possible to publicly trace transactions between accounts. Now that Anti Money Laundering rules require exchanges to keep photo ID for purchases this makes it possible for bitcoin purchases to be linked to your ID.
All markets accept Monero, a different currency which works in the same way but makes it impossible to link transactions between accounts without the login details for the sender account. Bisq, kraken, poloniex and other exchanges allow trading of Bitcoin for Monero and this makes it easy to break the surveillance chain.

Learning to use DNMs takes a couple of hours and will decrease the risk you are exposed to by allowing you to more effectively vet who you are purchasing from. Use DuckDuckGo to search for guides online (DO NOT ASK IN THIS SUBREDDIT) and have a read. Do not ask individuals to help you through the process, they may be scammers. Look for publicly available guides that have had the chance to be scrutinised. Use https://dark.fail to avoid phishing links to markets. Never follow links to markets that you find on Reddit.

Will CoronaVirus Impact the Bitcoin Price?

This is the sort of question that appears when every time Bitcoin price surges and drops significantly and apparently out of nowhere some analysts, experts directly associate such questions with anything like the US-Iran tension, Hong Kong protest, and so on. Now, again some are trying to insert the coronavirus in BTC price growth. Will CoronaVirus Impact the Bitcoin Price? Let’s take a look at it.Complete Guide : https://cryptoticker.io/en/coronavirus-impact-bitcoin-price/
