New Release - Develop - v1.0.0.2570

New Beta Release

Lidarr v1.0.0.2570 has been released on develop

  • Users who do not wish to be on the alpha nightly testing branch should take advantage of this parity and switch to develop

A reminder about the develop and nightly branches

  • develop - Current Develop/Beta - (Beta): This is the testing edge. Released after tested in nightly to ensure no immediate issues. New features and bug fixes released here first after nightly. It can be considered semi-stable, but is still beta.
  • nightly - Current Nightly/Unstable - (Alpha/Unstable) : This is the bleeding edge. It is released as soon as code is committed and passes all automated tests. This build may have not been used by us or other users yet. There is no guarantee that it will even run in some cases. This branch is only recommended for advanced users. Issues and self investigation are expected in this branch. Use this branch only if you know what you are doing and are willing to get your hands dirty to recover a failed update. This version is updated immediately.

Russia is exploring using Bitcoin as a payment method for oil and gas.

Russia is considering accepting Bitcoin as payment for its oil and gas exports, according to a high-ranking legislator. "Friendly" countries, according to Pavel Zavalny, may be allowed to pay in crypto or their own currencies. Russian President Vladimir Putin said earlier this week that he wants "unfriendly" countries to pay in roubles for Russian gas. The move is thought to be aimed at bolstering the Russian ruble, which has lost about 20% of its value so far this year. Following the invasion of Ukraine, the United Kingdom, the United States, and the European Union imposed sanctions on Russia, putting pressure on the rouble and rising living costs. On the other hand, Russia continues to be the world's largest natural gas exporter and second-largest oil supplier.

These are only a few of the current events throughout the world. As you can see, Russia is considering allowing friendly countries to pay in bitcoin or their own currency for gas and oil. I believe this is going to be a significant push for bitcoin, therefore I recommend you check into it further. Now it's up to you to decide if you think now is the right moment to invest in bitcoin or in a project like CoinFantasy. I'd love to hear your thoughts on what you believe is the greatest option right now in the comments!

Is there fungibility without privacy and anonymity?

Is there fungibility without privacy and anonymity?

Tainted coins are destructive. If you break fungibility and privacy, you break the currency.” Andreas Antonopoulos

Fungibility refers to the property of goods, currencies and securities to be determinable by measure, number or weight and to be readily exchangeable or interchangeable.

Cryptocurrencies are determinable by number, but are not readily exchangeable in every case. This is because the vast majority of cryptocurrencies have their entire transaction history stored on the blockchain for all time, open for all to see. This is significant when coins can be associated with illegal transactions, even if they are only recognized as illegal at a much later point in time. It doesn't even have to be illegal operations in the true sense of the word, as recent events in Canada and Ukraine have revealed to us. It is enough to have the "wrong" opinion or even to belong to or be associated with a "wrong" ethnic group. Coinbase blocked 25,000 crypto accounts that could be associated with Russia. It was already enough to have Bitcoins in possession that had a connection to Russia at an earlier point in time. To justify this, Coinbase called it "illegal activities."

As you can see from this example, BTC is not fungible, as is generally assumed. It is the same with all other non-private cryptocurrencies as well, which store the entire transaction history for each wallet and coin transparently on the blockchain. From the centralized KYC exchanges (CEX), all incoming cryptocurrencies are scanned for "tainted coins" that are on a blacklist. Once such coins are found, the account of the person who brought them in is immediately frozen. The person can then state where he got these coins from. In the best case only these coins are confiscated. In the worst case, if it cannot be proven where the coins came from, it becomes a bigger problem.

So it can become very unpleasant if such "tainted coins" are acquired at a decentralized exchange (DEX). In a way, with cryptocurrencies that are not truly fungible, there is always this sword of Damocles hovering over you as soon as you acquire such coins at a DEX and want to exchange them later at a CEX. True fungibility in cryptocurrencies is only ensured if the origin of the coins cannot be extracted from the blockchain and therefore there can be no tainted coins or tainted addresses.

Only private and anonymous cryptocurrencies ensure 100% fungibility. Cryptocurrencies based on the Mimblewimble (MW) protocol deserve special mention, as they offer the best scalability with privacy. All other protocols, such as CryptoNote (Monero), Zerocash (ZCash, Pirate Chain) and others achieve privacy only at the expense of scalability with additional drawbacks.1

EPIC Cash occupies a special position among MW-based cryptocurrencies because it is designed according to the Bitcoin standard designed by Satoshi Nakamoto. A scalable, anonymous and private sound money with a maximum of 21 million coins, fast, fungible and low cost. A green & secure polyphasic proof of work consensus mechanism allows mining with low investment and opens up the possibility of billions of full nodes, even on mobile. It was launched fairly with no ICO, no premining or even team tokens. No corporation or foundation is behind it. It is community driven and run by a growing number of volunteers.

Just lost all of my ETH to a scam :(

hi everyone,

I am ashamed and I coming to you all so hopefully you don't make the same mistake as I just did. I just got scammed and it cost me ~1,500 USD of ETH.

How it happened:

  1. I went on youtube and saw a "live" video by "Tesla Corporation" titled "Elon Musk - Bitcoin and Ethereum Merge INCOMING! ETH/BTC Predictions & Analysis! Crypto News".
  2. On it was a text overlay of a link to: ElonMusk.vin.
  3. I went to it, and once there, I read that "Tesla Corporation" wants to double your BTC or ETH money today during this live event... blah blah blah... you probably can guess the rest.
  4. I went into my binance wallet, withdrew all of my ETH and sent it to the address they listed on their website and waited to see double the amount in my account... like a fool.

I am posting this story here because this "live" video is actually still up on youtube as we speak. The channel is: youtube.com/c/lapreimeranet and there seem to be 3 of these "live videos" going at the same time.

I just hope that this message spreads and others don't lose their money like I just did.

--> If you know of a better place to share this scam, please let me know and I will share it there as well.

p.s. I reached out to binance.us but am pretty certain there is nothing they can do for me.

p.s.s This scam is somewhat elaborate as they had a working support chat box up and running on the site earlier. I was able to chat with them and someone (of course) was replying to me. I thought "wow, I can't believe they were able to respond so fast!" One of many red flags I was unable to recognize in real time. I told them that I didn't see the money in my account, and explained that I used the BSC network to send it. "Seth" said "Oh, we can't access the funds sent with BSC-- I will reach out to my manager" and then as he said that, the chat box closed and I have never been able to reopen it.

this is the youtube channel where I got scammed

here's the website where the actuall scamming took place: ElonMusk.vin

Metaverse Market Study for 2018 to 2030 providing information on Key Players, Growth Drivers and Industry challenges

Metaverse Market

Metaverse Market is appreciating to demonstrate a substantial upswing of a CAGR of 19.40% during the forecasted period of 2021 to 2030. The Metaverse Market was valued at USD 23.5 billion in 2021 and is estimated to display a significant improvement to reach USD 137.16 billion by 2030.

Users can interact with a computer-generated environment as well as other users in the Metaverse. Augmented reality, in which the physical and virtual worlds blend to produce real-world analogies, makes up the metaverse. Mark Zuckerberg and the entire Silicon Valley have been enthralled by Metaverse. It has been booming since its inception in 2003, thanks to numerous eager investors. Metaverse aspects are already present in online games like Fortnite. With the pandemic's onset and the ensuing lock-down, more people are turning to the Internet as their new social life, and the virtual world is swiftly growing. The thoughts that regulate it get more complicated as it matures.

Land, structures, and even customised avatars are traded using bitcoins in the metaverse. In the virtual environment of the metaverse, individuals can explore many well-known places and locales, form friendships, develop virtual assets, purchase and sell items and services, and take part in virtual events. The COVID-19 epidemic and lockdowns prompted a surge in remote working and Work From Home (WFH) trends, leading many people to explore a variety of online virtual environments for leisure, business, and other objectives. The metaverse has become the next macro-goal for several of the world's biggest tech corporations.

Metaverse will bring humans closer to Web3's future, when artists and developers can reclaim control of their online material and people can reclaim control of their personal identities. Every new blockchain concept and solution is quickly assessed as a potential module for integration into the Web 3.0 engine, which will help metaverse products and services gain traction. The importance of blockchain in the creation of the metaverse world was realised by Mark Cuban, an American entrepreneur. With the support of Polygon Studios, a new NFT-centric gaming and metaverse centre meant to enable web 3.0 gaming, he founded his Non-fungible Tokens (NFTs) startup, Lazy.com, which is a digital art gallery aiming at promoting NFTs in the same manner that traditional art galleries do.
