MOBOX Community Update #8

👋Hi there MOBOX members

It’s us again, bringing you your weekly update!

Progress, updates & current events all in one place.

Missed out on last week's update? no problem we got you covered… scroll down up ahead & have a read of our quick rewind to see what we were up to last week.

Also, be sure to check out what we have been up to BTS and what’s up ahead.

Our MOBOX Platform is coming together nicely and we will be doing internal testing of all the systems this Friday. So far everything is running on schedule and we will have a closed alpha testing in the coming weeks. More information will be made available on how to join the alpha testing in due time.

During the alpha closed testing we will test the following key parameters:

A. Stability of the NFTs and ensuring that all the NFT smart contracts work as they should. Since our NFTs are more complicated than any other NFT that is in the market at the moment, as there are several randomizable stats where you can upgrade to increase your mining power, ability to leave messages on your NFTs to give it a personal touch, and the ability to wrap them across other chains.

The ability to wrap them (the NFT) across other chains simply means that you can transfer your NFT that is on the Ethereum network and send it to your wallet on the Tron network.

B. The closed alpha test will mainly be on the Ethereum blockchain. With this test, we will also keep track of what the gas fees are, and whether or not we should make the change to layer 2 blockchains.

The good thing about layer 2 chains is that the speed of the transaction is much faster, and the gas fees are considerably much much lower. Whilst the negative thing about it is there is a small learning curve as some of our users would need to be educated on how to add layer 2 blockchains. This is also why having our own platform and wallet will be much better since we can support this natively, out of the box.

TradeAction

Last week in our Community Update we mentioned a bit about TradeAction.

Today we are giving you a bigger peek into this sneak peek that is TradeAction and what it will look like.

We have gamified buying and selling bitcoin to make it that bit more exciting than ever before all made possible with #GameFi on the Mobox Platform.

There will be 3 different TradeAction gameplays

A. SimpleTrade — In SimpleTrade mode each week we will have a set of tokens that users can trade using a simulation tool.

Here we will have a leaderboard, the leaderboard rank will be based on how much each user earns throughout the competition.

With this user-friendly process, one of our aims is to help users who are reluctant to get into crypto trading to try, give this a go and have fun!

Also, let's not forget the added opportunity of it being an innovative way to learn and earn.

Trading doesn’t need to be boring with SimpleTrade on MOBOX.

B. LeverageMania — LaverageMania is a short burst of exciting gameplay where you are given tokens, and you either sell short or buy long with 1000x leverage.

This is exhilarating gameplay where one moment you can watch your earnings jump high to potentially millions.

LeverageMania makes a rather boring or non-exciting market environment incredibly captivating & will continue to keep you in suspense awaiting that next jump in earnings!

Here, the leaderboard is based on how much each user earns and also will include crypto prizes.

C. Bull vs Bear — This will offer users some fast-paced action, and the chance to win in a very short span of time. Definitely a very exciting experience.

Bull vs Bear will offer very short bursts of guessing and wondering whether bitcoin will go up or down in the next 60 seconds, a definite fast pace swift, and speedy way to keep you on the edge of your seat.

Here there will be a point system and also included will be a captivating bull vs bear animation along the way.

The leaderboard here will be based on points accumulated.

Bull Vs Bear on Mobox.io

These TradeAction Gameplays are set up to give you variety and action in many ways.

Does one needs to enable port-forwarding to run a bitcoin node and a electrum server?

I plan to setup a raspiblitz, an electrum server and a bitcoin node (I think I can run all these and event lightning in raspiblitz if I'm not wrong.) for testing purposes and learn more about the BTC ecosystem, at least for now.

I want to know if I need to do port-forwarding on my ISP's router. I believe this depends on if I want to allow incoming connections (f.e. allow other to use my node or my electrum server) right?

Thank you!

I want to clear up one of the largest misconceptions about GBTC. 80% of their newly issued shares are through BTC purchases NOT USD purchases

I see this common misconception a ton and Grayscale doesn't seem to want to clear it up, imo this is intentional. GBTC allows what is called an in kind purchase, where you send them BTC and they issue you the amount of shares at the end of the day.

This is not a taxable event and you can sell it on the market (for a premium in the past) after a 6 month period, you have to be an accredited investor though. In the past when the premium was higher than the taxes the seller would incur, they could hypothetically sell the coins and make money or pay less taxes. This arbitrage is what many people are doing to raise their cost averages.

They don't release the numbers of in kind purchases versus USD purchases, but from the last time they did at the end of 2019 it was 80% in kind versus 20% USD. I believe this ratio is more or less the same or only slightly higher as I have asked them multiple times to release the numbers, but they wont.

So when you see headlines like "GBTC buys 700M worth of bitcoin!", realize only 20% of that is probably USD purchased.

Could Mike Lindell Be right? Leaked Documents Connecting China to the SolarWinds hacks after the election, tabulation manipulation, Nashville Bombing, and Events at the Capital on the 6th.

Here's what I've dug up on china in the US before Mike even got involved.

these sources came originally from a youtube channel with a name slightly different than the one that posted the original Nashville Bombing Security Vid. The videos would go up, leave some info, then get deleted. Eventually, the whole channel is down. However, some people were backing them up as they saw them uploaded. Video sources are at bottom.

Tabulation manipulation software before election [https://imgur.com/a/q10lfWM](https://imgur.com/a/q10lfWM)

Software mentioned before the hacks. Maybe hack was called "electric rain" [https://imgur.com/a/gL3ECxj](https://imgur.com/a/gL3ECxj). Notice SUNSTORM is the SolarWinds virus. CNASR is connected to China.

I think CYBERJAVELIN is the cyber team, referred to as CJ later on in the Jan 6th doc.

Redacted email signed AQW (Possible Anthony Quin Warner(TN Bomber**)**: Mentions "towers" maybe referencing servers. The person responding to the email says they will take care of the ones in Tennessee: [https://imgur.com/a/yG8SDL2](https://imgur.com/a/yG8SDL2)

Discussing pancakes being delivered to dc on jan 5th. Document showing a discussion about packages. SR04 SR05 and IMSI-Catcher documentations. This could be referencing Stingray, or other communication blackout tools. Like a mini emp I think. It says delivered to Tarrio who is one of Proud Boys Leaders.: [https://imgur.com/a/1A5YcAg](https://imgur.com/a/1A5YcAg) Not sure why he would be involved.

Document showing Tarrio communicated with MPDC and mentions CJ again, as well as DHS and "LQ" haven't figured out what LQ is yet. This also mentions a north device in "RV Model Dolphin" and south device "in the decorated trailer" \*Remember "decorated trailer" These are likely the SR05 & 5 devices. Guy named "peters" is with a south device to monitor and divert FBI and national guard from the position.: [https://imgur.com/a/sUvYNXC](https://imgur.com/a/sUvYNXC)

This is where it all ties together, but makes the story more confusing. Everyone mentioned is in this document with a dollar value. Could be payment, or bounty. But im pretty sure one of the documents other documents maybe not listed, mentions one-time payment through llc. **Peters and Tarrio*\* are both on there under the title CTL. Maybe counterintelligence? Not sure who Peters is, but Tarrio is one of the proud boys, with, or who had passed off one of the devices. **A. Warner likely AQW*\, the bomber. Title active msr tn. Not sure what MSR is but TN seems like Tennessee. ***E Osterman**** owns a propane company, could be a random business owner though. **Nathaniel Sergio-*\* TWR Sites NY. Arrested for damaging cell towers in new york. Could have been same type of job that AQW had? **Steve Shmoldt.*\* Neighbor of the bomber. Title Various intel. **Rob Cortis*\* titled Stingray. He owns the Trump Unity Bridge (google this, maybe a way to sneak into trump events) which is what I think is the "decorated trailer" Could they be using this as a COMs Jammer? :[https://preview.redd.it/jxbyicazsma61.png?width=984&format=png&auto=webp&s=d2fc0260eb0a8c95bdc296e0411f97a4549c4472](https://preview.redd.it/jxbyicazsma61.png?width=984&format=png&auto=webp&s=d2fc0260eb0a8c95bdc296e0411f97a4549c4472)

It's voting time people!! Here's where and how to get involved!

Voting for CoinParty Hackathon projects

So you’ve got your CoinParty Community Kudos tokens, now what? First thing to know is that the Block Party award will be distributed proportionately to each team’s share of the tokens, so feel free to divide up your votes however you want. With that out of the way, let’s find your favorite projects.

The 2021 CoinParty Hackathon was hosted on a platform called DevPost. All of the projects can be found in the event’s project gallery.

https://preview.redd.it/w1ws134d9bc61.png?width=2880&format=png&auto=webp&s=d134fee5785a63b9a4b12fc8de69092ac474ffb6

You can also find the project presentations in our playlist in the link below. Each presentation includes their voting address at the end.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dNGxNPFt_I8&list=PL4IgwHUgjF5f9IIJrBtvpgJ4Qzu2wvBGh

Clicking a project will take you to its respective page, where you can see the team’s submission video and a text description of the project itself.

Each team has been instructed to provide their SLP address on this page as a scannable QR code and as a text address. (The text address should start with “simpleledger:”.) All you need to do to vote is send your Kudos tokens to that address!

If you’re using the Bitcoin.com wallet, that means tapping your BCH wallet, tapping send, selecting “CCK” on the assets screen that comes up next, and then pasting the address in the text box or tapping “Scan a QR code” to scan the QR code off of another screen.

Once the address is recognized, enter the number of tokens you’d like to send, tap continue, and then swipe to send. You did it! Thanks for being a part of the 2021 CoinParty Hackathon.

Go get voting!!!

The Ultimate Canon World Of Assassination Mission Order (Probably)

This will get a little wordy so I’d like to take the time to inform you that there is a concise list at the bottom that just has the mission order with no extra annotations.

If you’re anything like me then you’re a real sucker for sticking to the canonical routing of games like Hitman, problem being Hitman doesn’t exactly have one to speak of outside of the main campaign. Fortunately, IO have given us many hints as to the true order of thing such as NPC dialogue and background news reports and for the last couple weeks on and off I have been scouring the games and wiki for every last bit of information regarding the canonical goings on of the World of Assassination trilogy. So today I present a detailed look at the best canonical order I can put forth forward of the launch of Hitman III, upon launch I will likely revisit this if anything comes fawned from the new maps the may contradict this order. So without further ado, I present My Canon World Of Assassination Mission Order.

Prologue

All missions in the prologue likely take place over maybe a week or so. Simple stuff here, just don’t forget this after the mission “Training” in Hitman: Codename 47 but before any other mission in the Hitman series if you’re planning on playing everything the series has to offer chronologically at any point.

Arrival

Guided Training

Freeform Training

The Final Test

Pre-Campaign Contracts

Apart from the “The Icon” and “The Landslide” (which canonically take place several years apart in that order and before the main H|1 campaign) these can be shuffled around in any order. I figure that all of these contracts make the most sense on the timeline between Blood Money and Absolution or between Absolution and WOA trilogy. My placement of these bar previous mention are mostly to provide the most interesting and varied gameplay experience before starting the main campaigns as they have no real set position on the timeline. If you wish you could also slot some of these in between “The Showstopper” and “Club 27” and they’d still make relative sense.

The Icon

Illusions of Grandeur

The Pen And The Sword

Embrace of The Serpent

A Silver Tongue

A Bitter Pill

Now for avery long note on “A Silver Tongue” and “A Bitter Pill”

I recommend skipping if you don’t want to indulge yourself in my problems with IO’s bonus level creation.

I have a lot of issues placing these as “A Silver Tongue” takes place at The Global Innovation Race where of course “The Finish Line” does, I had a lot of back and forth on deciding if it made sense for “A Silver Tongue” to come just before “The Finish Line”and “A Bitter Pill” to come just after but it makes very little sense as the house the target of “A Bitter Pill” occupies was until just before “A New Life” occupied by a Providence Herald that was there prior to Cassidy, but was poisoned by Helen West. I really couldn’t find a good place for this despite hours of thinking so I decided thusly;

The Global Innovation Race that “A Silver Tongue” plays out in is not the one featured in “The Finish Line”, but one from years prior and thus the murder of Frank Schmidt haven’t taken place yet and in fact he didn’t even live at the location at the time as the target of “A Bitter Pill” did.

I must apologise but that’s the only explanation I can come up with at this point. I’d like to proceed into a rant about how bonus mission are just resold elusive targets but I with simply leave it as this is the one where I most felt that, the others at least had a reasonable sense of believability but “A Bitter Pill”, and “A Silver Tongue” by extension, just doesn’t.

Now to continue with the placements, sorry for the long explanative rant.

Crime and Punishment

The Landslide

A House Built on Sand

HITMAN I Campaign And Patient Zero

Hitman 1’s campaign has a pretty easy going start but as mentioned you could slide some contracts from the pre-campaign section at your leisure.

The Showstopper

World Of Tomorrow

A Guided Cage

Club 27

The Source

After the death of Jordan cross, what was left of The Class likely left The Himmapan Hotel within 1–2 weeks as in the mission “The Source”, the staff of The Himmapan are still in the process of cleaning up the band’s penthouse and accompanying floor with many The Class branded containers as well as a few members of the band’s security detail and recording crew still strewn about the area so it’s likely they are preparing to leave. The ground floor is also still being fumigated showing not long has passed.

Freedom Fighters

Situs Inversus

These two make most sense back to back as the ICA wouldn’t want to delay the elimination of the traitorous Soders.

The Author

The Vector

Patient Zero

Pretty concise timeline here, 47 flies between these three destinations straight away.

The Last Yardbird

This mission makes the most sense to be here as it’s the second time we see 47 wield his Seiger 300 Ghost. It is also referenced in a news report in “The Nightcall” that Interpol had arrested the former head of The Yardbirds, Aleksander Kovak, in Panama City while he was attempting to convert fifty million dollars into bitcoin and that he's currently the prime suspect in a triple murder at a wedding in Austria.

HITMAN II Campaign There’s not a very specific time frame between Hitman and Hitman 2’s campaign but after “The Nightcall” I feel there’s very little space for anything else to happen, thus I have decided to not have any thing interrupt the main campaign of Hitman 2, this would likely make for a better playing experience too.

The Nightcall

The Finish Line

Three-Headed Serpent

Chasing A Ghost

Another Life

The Ark Society

Golden Handshake

The Last Resort

HITMAN III Campaign

And of course onto Hitman III which directly follows the events of Hitman 2

As mentioned previously if anything major comes to contradict this listing, I’ll be sure to retroactively adjust it when able.

On Top Of The World

Death In The Family

Apex Predator

End Of An Era

The Farewell

Untouchable

And that’s everything featured in the World of Assassination trilogy!

I didn’t include the holiday missions or Elusive Targets as they make less sense than the MLM missions and if you’ve read this thing you know my problems with that.

And now for the people you don’t like to read my rambling, I present the concise TL:DR listing.

Arrival

Guided Training

Freeform Training

The Final Test

The Icon

Illusions of Grandeur

The Pen And The Sword

Embrace of The Serpent

Crime and Punishment

The Landslide

A House Built on Sand

The Showstopper

World Of Tomorrow

A Guided Cage

Club 27

The Source

Freedom Fighters

Situs Inversus

The Author

The Vector

Patient Zero

The Last Yardbird

The Nightcall

The Finish Line

Three-Headed Serpent

Chasing A Ghost

Another Life

The Ark Society

Golden Handshake

The Last Resort

On Top Of The World

Death In The Family

Apex Predator

End Of An Era

The Farewell

Untouchable

Well you’ve reached the end, I must thank you for reading this mess of time line.

If you have any suggestions or comments on how this could be improved, disagree on how I’ve placed something or just want to call me a idiot for trying to string together mission that might not even be canon, feel free to deposit you thoughts below.

What type of political/global events cause Bitcoin to surge?

I'm new to Bitcoin so I apologize if this is an ignorant question. I tried to do some research but couldn't find a good answer. In short, what type of political/global events tend to cause Bitcoin to surge? Do events that cause uncertainty cause it to rise? The opposite? Or is it more complicated than that?

The long term outcome from crypto and Monero

So recently I have been thinking about what the possible long term(10+ years) viability of crypto as a whole will be, and what role monero will play in that. I think there are two likely possibilities(assuming a black swan event doesn't occur). I'm basing these "predictions" on one key assumption, currently almost all cryptocurrencies have no real world use case, and are essentially only used for the speculative purposes, and this isn't gonna change in the short term.

  1. Bitcoin becomes heavily institutionalized, and regulated through strong KYC enforcement with restrictions on withdrawal from exchanges. In this scenario Bitcoin becomes the equivalent of a digital gold, it's only worth being the artificial scarcity of the amount available. As altcoins become more and more cumbersome to acquire compared to Bitcoin, and with demand for crypto being mostly speculative, most altcoins who have no real demand become less and less relevant. In this scenario Monero will probably have an alright outcome, with demand from drug trafficking and other criminal activities slowly fueling demand, it slowly but steadily rises in price. With strong KYC/bans it becomes difficult to buy monero, buying and selling is either done in person or on decentralized exchanges.

  2. Speculative mania kicks the crypto market into overdrive and a colossal bubble forms, the bubble bursts, and I mean really burst not like 2017 or 2013, most coins including Monero fall 90+ percent. Then as more and more people realize the days of striking it rich from crypto are long gone, the market further slumps slides downwards, until crypto fades into obscurity effectively dying out*. Eventually speculative demand falls below real demand, and a few coins with real world use stabilize in price, Monero being the prime one of them. The likely outcome here is that as demand starts to pick up, Monero starts climbing again eventually approaching Bitcoins market cap, and eventually overtaking it. It will probably mostly be a non event, only the remaining people in crypto caring or paying attention to Monero overtaking Bitcoin, a shell of its former self. What happens from here might diverge in two directions, either it becomes banned for its criminal use, ending up mostly like in scenario 1, or the political climate is that people have a right to privacy and it won't get banned, as a result it might one day become somewhat widespreadly used.

IMO, I think Scenario 1 is the most likely, but realistically I put both scenarios at pretty low odds, as many unexpected things might happen. What do you guys think, is there something I forgot to consider?

*Dying in this circumstance being bitcoin falling to the 3 digit dollar levels. With the total market cap of crypto being 20 billions or less.

First football player was bought with Bitcoins

Have you heard that David Barral joined DUX International de Madrid? The interesting thing about this deal is that the transfer was made completely via Bitcoin. This whole thing became possible thanks to a local crypto trading platform, Criptan, which is a sponsor of the football club. Some enthusiasts are saying that this event is a turning point for the football industry. What do you think?
