tl;dr "DEFAULT BTC NOT IN TAX CONFIG FILE!"
This looks like a user/configuration error, but honestly I could be completely wrong so I'm just curious. My understanding would be that a config error would mean the register would not know which store it is at, which register it is in that store, and the IP address. I'm guessing the IP would be required for Bitcoin, especially for a taxable event, so if the user/config files got corrupted then the register/pinpad wouldn't want to do transactions till they can prove where they are.
I work at a business that has roughly 7 merchants who settle transactions, and as far as I can tell all have their hands in Bitcoin, either on the individual level or probably for large bundles of transactions to settle with Bitcoin for the lower fees.
There were multiple error messages, including "PERSOPTS FILE OPEN ERROR" and "DEFAULT BTC NOT IN TAX CONFIG FILE! PLEASE CALL...." for our IT.
Anyone here able to explain this? Explain like I'm 5 if I am COMPLETELY off, thanks!
