VIAZ- BLOCKCHAIN BASED PEER TO PEER FUNDING PLATFORM

https://i.redd.it/4lsnrd1v0s521.jpg

What Is VIAZ?

VIAZ is a decentralized application ("DAPP")running on the Tezos blockchain. It looks to take out the hole between the loan specialists and borrowers of cryptographic forms of money and fiat and in doing as such, make the cryptocurrency showcase favorable for both cryptocurrency and fiat devotees.

Also, Viaz goes for helping billions of individuals overall who don't approach banks by furnishing them with a way to exploit the worldwide system of loan specialists and borrowers accessible on the Viaz organize from the accommodation of their portable or work area gadgets.

At present, the limits that exist in the customary saving money space have made it hard to make a center ground between digital forms of money, fiat, and value. In any case, Viaz will separate these boundaries and interface advanced resources, value, and fiat in manners that were recently esteemed unthinkable. This will result in the formation of increasingly worldwide associations and strengthening of people to take control of their budgetary fates.

How VIAZ Tezos Peer To Peer Blockchain Funding Platform Works

Viaz looks to urge its record holders to get fiat or crypto through utilizing their tokens as guarantee. At first, Viaz tokens and Tezzies ("XTZ"), the local token of Tezos, will be the main acknowledged security. Later on, Bitcoin and different altcoins will be added to the platform.

When a borrower posts an advance, a smart contract is made by the platform and the advance is recorded on the Tezos blockchain record. Banks will at that point get the opportunity to offer on the distinctive financing openings relying upon the loan costs. In situations where the bank needs to finance the credit at higher loan costs, they can do as such and acquire higher loan costs. The advance reimbursement by the borrower will be through the Tokens of the Viaz platform.

Viaz naturally issues clients with a fiat and crypto wallet once they join on the platform. Through the wallet, clients could deal with their portfolio and exchange assets on or off the Viaz decentralized platform.

VIAZ Benefits

Availability

The day by day tasks of the Viaz platform are increasingly available contrasted with the conventional loaning frameworks, as its highlights are perfect with IOS and Android working frameworks. In this manner, clients can utilize the Viaz versatile application from their gadgets for nothing out of pocket.

Secure

The Viaz platform works on the Tezos blockchain organize that is monetarily secure, as it records every one of the exchanges on its record that isn't alterable or open by outsiders. Also, Viaz gives clients a cryptocurrency and fiat wallet that makes it workable for them to safely store their assets, deal with their portfolios, and exchange reserves.

No Taxes

Contrasted with the present loaning frameworks and organizations, Viaz will be less expensive as borrowers won't need to make good on government obligations on the obtained cash.

Hazard Free

For borrowers to post advance demand on Viaz, they should vow a specific measure of guarantee. This shields the loan specialists from the danger of losing their cash in the event that they default.

Optimus Streams review

I've been using a new service called Optimus Streams, and thought I would get up a review since I don't see one on here yet.

Right off the bat I will tell you it's the best service I have ever seen for sports, ever. No buffering, full 1080p, and for UK football fans, all the 3pm kickoffs are on here, Club Channels, Euro Match Pass, Red Button, LeSports, B/R Live, etc. All North American sports, full 1080p. All major networks, PPV events, etc. Adult channels available also, and can be shut off by request. I don't have a full channel list here but for me at least, nothing is missing. Decent VOD section too.

Runs well with our without a VPN. All accounts come stock with 2 connections and no IP lock.

If there's a con, it's minor... Couple of Canadian channels say they're one thing but are actually another. Same in the US side. It's only one or two channels on each side, I'm sure it will get fixed.

Support is really good. Emails get responded to quickly, usually within 30 minutes to an hour.

Payments by Paypal, there's talk of adding Bitcoin down the line.

Free trials for 24 hours and I never did this but I believe there's 48 hour trials available for a small fee.

I pay $15 USD per month, and for what I'm getting I am really happy with it. I have referred a couple of friends to them so I will recommend these guys to you as well.

optimus.streams@protonmail.com is the contact, as far as I know, no website but may be being worked on as he mentioned a web player was coming at some point.

Overall, I would say 4.5/5 stars, have to take half a star away for the few mislabeled channels on the North American stuff, and well, my rating system isn't an exact science so whatever, LoL. I'm really happy with them and I bet you would be too. Give them a try.

First split – have a guide ready but have 2 questions

Greetings,

I'm doing my first spilt (BCH-> BSV/ABC) - (I have a guide ready), and this is why I am asking stupid questions, please excuse me.

I wanted to download EC(Electron Cash) V.3.3.3 for Win 10 but then when scrolling the site I noticed under LOOKING FOR AN OLDER VERSION? This statement “Version 3.3.2 was the last compatible version with BSV” this is why I have stopped and turned to you for guidance.

1) Should I download V.3.3.3 or V.3.3.2?

2) My Trezor and Ledger are up to date but my Trezor tells me the following -> Bitcoin Cash changed the format of addresses to cashaddr Use this external tool to convert legacy addresses to the new format.

  • What exactly does this mean/do?

  • Should I do this before the split or after

That is it for now.

**edit* 3) slp or spv version?

An Eventful Year: Over 75 days of NEO Meetups, Workshops and Hackathons in 2018

NEO has been very busy this year. In addition to the core development progress, we’ve seen a level of community building/outreach that no other project in blockchain can seem to match. I thought it would be cool to look back on all the events and hackathons that NEO hosted or supported over the course of this year.

It should be noted that I am not including any large-scale blockchain conferences (other than the NEO DevCon), no matter how notable. Any project leader can show up to an event and hold a few interviews, or offer a few sound bites in a speech. This is a post about the NEO team’s tangible efforts to finance and encourage decentralized community development by hosting dedicated NEO workshops and meetups around the world. To this end, I have attempted (no promises, this was a lot of data to go through) to omit all events without direct support/representatives from the NEO core team (sorry Dylan, I’ll buy you a beer at DevCon!)

I think this is a huge indicator as to the motives of the core NEO team and is something far too few people know about. There is still this ridiculous notion floating around that NEO is reliant on the Chinese government to succeed, despite the massive global community that has been built to support the platform’s long-term success.

Two things to note before the list. Firstly, a lot of these events would not have been possible without the hard work of various NEO dApp project/dev community leaders and other community members. By no means do I wish to undermine their contributions by giving full credit to the NEO core. A lot of people pitched in to make these things happen.

Secondly, I’d also like to give a huge shout out to NEO News Today for its consistent and excellent coverage of all news within the NEO ecosystem. This list would not have been possible without it. For those of you who do not know, I started writing for NNT in July and joined as an editor in October. I feel incredibly blessed to have the opportunity to work with such a kind and talented group of individuals. I have much to learn from each of them.

Without further ado, here’s the list.

That’s over 75 days of NEO events this year (and I definitely missed some). Not bad eh. Of course, this is only a list of events. We’ve also seen solid progress on the core infrastructure, the formation of multiple new dev communities, and various impressive projects joining the network.

This is the reality of what progress towards decentralization looks like. The NEO community outreach has gone far above and beyond what any other blockchain project has achieved (to my knowledge). Sure, there’s value to a pile of partnerships, but do not mistake those partnerships for realistic progression towards the future of blockchain. The goal of blockchain is to put power back into the hands of the people and to hand off control of these platforms to their respective communities. It seems no project is prioritizing this on the same level as NEO.

At this point, it feels like it wouldn’t particularly matter what happens in China. The NEO team and broader community have spent vast amounts of time and resources educating developers about NEO. Progress on this platform is not tied to the core team. That is the heart of decentralization, and it is why NEO will not be easily stopped.

One month ago u/Stadicus posted the Beginner’s Guide to ️⚡Lightning️⚡ on a Raspberry Pi and since then I have read myself through it twice and now am planning to do it myself, since I have all the required things at hand along with some year of IT industry knowledge.

I was wondering though how many of you guys went through the whole Guide? The post was even the number one Stickied post for like weeks so I was interested in the experience of those guys who actually did it and use it since then on a daily basis.

  • What is your experience working with LND on the testnet?
  • Did you eventually start working with it on the mainnet after the testnet?
  • I know that LND is still in it's early beta version, but is it possible to "lose" any bitcoin?
  • Is it really that easy to send all bitcoins back from the LND wallet to my hardware wallet?
  • What kind of fees do you see from the route payments exactly?

I am really curious about this topic so any experience would be welcomed and greatly appreciated.

How to Short the Market With Inverse Crypto Traded Indices

The cryptocurrency market is extremely volatile, making it difficult for serious investors who are accustomed to holding onto assets and watching their wealth grow put money into any given cryptocurrency. Fortunately, it is also possible to benefit from decreasing cryptocurrency prices, which can be done with Inverse Crypto Traded Indices (CTIs). In this article, we will explore the strategy of shorting the market and how you can do so with inverse CTIs. Let’s dive in, and Merry Christmas to all crypto bears! 🐻

https://i.redd.it/eln5nz3l4n521.png

What Is “Shorting the Market”?

Shorting the market is a term that refers to the practice of waging or betting on the price of a given cryptocurrency crashing. Holding this belief, you wage or bet that the market will crash with another person and borrow a given amount of the cryptocurrency from them. After the market crashes, you will only have to purchase back the same amount of cryptocurrency that you borrowed, which will then be significantly less than the initial amount that was given to you and you will make a profit off of the bet or wager. For example, let’s say that you borrow a Bitcoin from a friend today (which is priced at around $4,000 at the time of writing) and it drops down to around $1,000. All you have to do is give back a bit of the money you received and you made a $3,000 profit by doing little work. You can do this with a friend, using prediction markets, or even by conducting margin trading.

How Can You Short Cryptocurrencies?

  • Margin Trading: Margin trades allowing for investors to “borrow” money from a broker in order to make a trade. Margin Trading is available on multiple cryptocurrency exchanges, however interests and be costly and losses uncapped.
  • Futures Market: Bitcoin, like other assets, has a futures market. In a futures trade, a buyer agrees to purchase a security with a contract which specifies when and at what price the security will be sold. If you sell a futures contract, it suggests a bearish mindset and a prediction that bitcoin will decline in price. Futures are available through CME and CBOE, but the minimum investment is quite high for retail investors.
  • Prediction Markets: These markets allow investors to create an event to make a wager based on the outcome. An investor can, for instance, predict that Bitcoin will decline by a certain percentage, and if anyone takes the bet, stands to profit if the outcome passes.
  • Inverse Crypto Traded Indices: Inverse Crypto Traded Indices are an innovation being developed by Trakx to allow any investor, retail or institutional, to easily bet on a decline of cryptocurrency prices. Inverse CTIs are token that inversely replicate the performance of their underlying benchmark.

What Are Inverse Crypto Traded Indices and How Can You Use Them for This Purpose?

Trakx.io extends the range of available cryptocurrency shorting solutions through Inverse CTIs. These enable to profit from a decline in the value of the underlying benchmark.

Investing in Inverse CTIs is rather straightforward: If a trader is bearish on a particular cryptocurrency (or basket) or wants to hedge a long position on another cryptocurrency or basket of cryptocurrencies, he or she simply buys the corresponding CTI. When the trader believes that the downturn has run its course, he or she will simply sell the CTI to unwind the position.

Inverse CTIs move in the opposite direction of the underlying asset. For illustration purposes, if Bitcoin declines by 10% in a given day, the Inverse Bitcoin CTI will gain approximately 10% the same day. Intended to provide the inverse return on a daily basis, Inverse CTIs enable investors to quickly and easily take advantage of falling underlying assets’ prices. Assuming that investors pay for the position outright (no leverage), their loss is also capped at the amount invested, since the price of the CTI cannot drop below zero. Levered Inverse CTIs will also be available, offering traders the possibility to magnify their exposure to particular cryptocurrencies.

Users, by taking short positions on chosen cryptocurrencies, will benefit from declining prices (should they decline) or reduce their market exposure to certain assets. They can also isolate the excess performance (Alpha) of their investments against selected cryptocurrencies, market indexes or benchmarks.

Below is an illustration of what could have happened for an investor who would have bought an Inverse BTC Crypto Traded Indice in January 2018.

OnePageX - The Simplest Crypto Exchange Supporting more than 140 Cryptocurrencies

Introduction

Since the early days of mankind, people have traded - exchanged one type of goods for another and vice a versa. Many ancient civilizations, such as the Persians, reached high levels of cultural and economical development mainly thanks to trading. Cities, where the trading was usually carried out, grew big and powerful, with beautiful achitecture and neverending flow of people and money.

Empires were being created and destroyed, world's political map has been constantly changing, new lands were being discovered. And yet, through the Classical Age, Middle Ages and Renaissance, one thing was remaining as important as it ever was: trading.

Fast forward to 21st century. People are no more exchanging coffee and rice at the marketplaces: most popular modern day trading goods are cryptocurrencies. The marketplaces are now replaced by cryptocurrency exchanges. Unfortunately, vast majority of cryptocurrency exchanges is suffering from several problems.

The idea of cryptocurrency was introduced to the world in 2008 and in just a decade the cryptocurrency market is worth USD 220 billion. Like I said before, this must be the shortest time from the introduction of a concept to earning big in the market. As of today, which is 2018, there are more than 1500 crypto-coins available for trading. And that is not all, the pace is only set to increase. There are a number of ICOs planned for 2018 and such ICOs will only continue to grow in the coming years. In other words, expect at least 100 coins being added to the list every year; and that is the minimum we are looking at. But the thing is, there are only about 200 crypto-exchanges worldwide supporting this USD 220 billion market.

Let’s look at the numbers that we just discussed. 200 crypto-exchanges supporting USD 220 billion market means, roughly each crypto-exchange is supporting USD 1.1 bn worth of transactions (or market capitalization). We know that there will always be a skew with few exchanges supporting billions of dollar worth of transactions while most of the exchanges would be finding it difficult to support even USD 1 million worth of transaction. So, not only are the exchanges few but the amount of business they can support is also quite limited for most, barring the bigger exchanges.

Problems of modern crypto exchanges

Interface is difficult to understand Many cryptocurrency exchanges have cramped, unintuitive interfaces, forcing users to spend their time learning to use them. What's more, it is possible that you will make a mistake due to choosing the incorrect option among the several hundreds. In the end, you lose time and money.

Choice of available cryptocurrencies is laughably small How often have you encountered the situation, where you cannot exchange BTC for your preferred crypto? Chances are, that you have encountered such situation very often.

Registration is required Most exchanges ask you for your e-mail address, some go even further and require personal information. After you submit all the personal data needed, you have to wait for verification. And wait, and wait, and wait...

Hidden fees Not all exchanges are open about their fee policy - sometimes, it can be seen that there is a fee (possibly, quite big) only after the transaction is processed.

How OnePageX solves these problems

Clean, simple interface The whole exchange process happens on the single page. Yes, you heard that right - single page! What's more, instructions are given.

A quick usage guide To exchange BTC for your preferred crypto, follow four simple steps:

Choose your preferred coin

Enter your wallet address

Note: memo is optional in this example This step will ever-so-slightly wary depending on your choice of coin. Don't be confused - just enter your receiving wallett address.

Click the button "Start exchange"

Copy the deposit address

Click on the button next to the deposit address to copy it. Send your BTC to this address.

As you can see, this whole procedure is brilliantly simple and takes only about two minutes. The transaction itself usually takes no longer than 25 minutes (but in most cases it is much, much faster) - this is due to different blockchain, not OnePageX limitations. You can always see your transaction status at the bottom of the same page:

Transaction cards On every transaction card, there is a dynamically changing status indicator to help you track the status of your transaction. There are 4 possible states of indicator: Waiting for deposit

Exchange in progress

Withdrawal in progress

Transaction complete

Several transaction cards can be displayed on OnePageX page - one transaction card for every transaction you have made/are making:

Sessions Each time you use OnePageX and transaction cards are generated, new session is being created. You can save this session's unique URL to access it later. Anytime. Anywhere.

Wide choice of available cryptocurrencies

More than 140 coins are available, including Bitshares and EOS. Steem will be added soon. As for now, the coins can only be exchanged from BTC, but it will change in the nearest future. Remember - this is only the beginning, which means that impressive available cryptocurrency count will continue to grow.

No registration is required As you saw from my mini-tutorial, registration is not required to use OnePageX. This means that you can remain anonymous.

Transparent fee system All the fees are shown before the transaction is carried out. A fee is 0,5% + a small network fee.

  • OneBox widget - simple to use yet powerful

use case

Use case #1 - Individual Stephen is a library worker. Stephen is new to cryptocurrency sphere. Recently, his co-worker introduced him to Bitcoin, and Stephen bought some BTC. Since then, Stephen has been learning about altcoins. He wanted to invest in a few most promising ones, but, unfortunately, got really confused with crypto exchanges - they all seemed too difficult for him to understand.

He was ready to give up, but then, his friend told him about OnePageX. Stephen was impressed with the simplicity of OnePageX and soon made his first exchange. He is still using OnePageX for investing in new coins and selling them for BTC when needed.

Use case #2 - Business Lisa writes a tech blog. Before the end of 2017, most articles in it were smartphone and laptop reviews, but after the Bitcoin's price rallied to 20K USD, Lisa started to write about cryptocurrencies as well. Soon, whe encountered an issue: many people left her website to check the price of the altcoin she was writing about and forgot to come back. Lisa tried to combat this phenomenon by including coin prices in the article itself, but soon realized that it wasn't the clever thing to do as the prices change constantly.

Luckily, in her search of the solution, Lisa found out about OnePageX and, specifically, OneBox widget. She integrated the widget in her website easily and now, no one leaves her website as the coin conversion rates are available in the widget! What's more, readers can even buy altcoins without leaving Lisa's website, which means that both the readers and Lisa win thanks to the OneBox.
