Blockchain platform, ‘Kaiser’ announced on Jan. 10 that it has recently made NDA and MOU agreement with Houbi Indonesia.
Global digital asset exchange, Houbi opened the exchange in Indonesia on September 7, 2018 through the partnership with Asia Financial Group.
According to the business report, it proves that Southeast Asian market including Indonesia is emerging as an important market for the cryptocurrency market with high potentiality due to the high economic growth and rapid development of IT and financial services.
In-Young Jung, CEO of Bizblocks says, “Bizblocks decided to collaborate with Huobi Indonesia in order to preoccupy the blockchain based payment system market in Indonesia.
BerineXiong, CEO of Huobi Indonesia has also sent the congratulatory message for ‘2019 Kaiser meet-up event’ held in Jan. 5.
He told in message, “Kaiser and Huobi Indonesia Group should discuss the future of blockchain and the use and acceptance of it. We also have to consider Southeast Asia and all the surrounding countries are going to use the blockchain technology.”
The blockchain based payment system is supposed to be commercialized through the payment system of cold wallet, ‘Kaiser Wallet’ and ‘Kaiser PayBanC’.

The world of cryptocurrencies has not been an exception to these discrete views. In fact, skeptics and enthusiasts alike once viewed cryptocurrencies as real or fake, truth or falsehood, a possibility or a product of wishful thinking depending on the side of the divide the holder of the view belongs. It was only a matter of time before the narrative changed and many came to agree that Cryptocurrencies are here to stay after all. However, the increased awareness did not just open doors for what is perhaps the biggest revolution in the finance market but it also led to an influx of shallow enthusiasts who only dabbled into cryptocurrencies like it’s a get-rich-quick scheme. Dilettantes who are missing the ultimate point that cryptocurrency is the future of the financial world. To insightful analysts, the current dip in value being experienced by most cryptocurrencies isn’t much of a surprise but an inevitable bubble — causing a ripple effect in the industry. We liken this ripple to a necessary wind for separating the real deals from charlatans and dabblers. This weeding is indeed necessary for ushering in the propitious future of cryptocurrencies in the financial world. History is surely about to repeat itself. How do we know this? The dot-com bubble (1) provides valuable insights.
From the early to the late 1990's, usage and widespread commercialization of the internet grew in leaps, with the market capitalization of internet-based companies peaking in value in the first quarter of the year 2000. Then the unexpected happened — market capitalization plummeted astronomically. During the crash, many internet-based companies went out of business. Interestingly, a few survived. Guess what? The few survivors ended up growing into mammoth billion dollar empires. Talk of Amazon, talk of eBay. Drawing a parallel, cryptocurrencies started evolving in 2008 but it gained massive traction in the successive years. To put that in perspective, a bitcoin traded at USD 0.30 on 1st Jan. 2011, and $100 investment would have fetched 333 bitcoins. By 17th December, 2017 those 333 bitcoins would have amounted to $6,594,267 when bitcoin values peaked at $19,783 (2). Since then the value of bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies have experienced a roller-coaster, to put it mildly, or a downward spiral to be more pessimistic, giving skeptics and naysayers something to laugh about. [TI2] To really have a full grasp of what is happening here, let’s revisit our world of dichotomies.
One thousand and one reasons can be ascribed to why the dot-com bubble survived where the majority failed. However, one overarching fact is that in the midst of all inevitable changes and downtown of events, the survivors aren’t those who see the world from the screen of black and white but those who see things in shades of grey and adapt to changes accordingly. They are not only dreamers who see the future but also doers who take practical steps in the light of prevailing realities. They may be idealists but their pragmatic stand is so palpable, they are always adapting and evolving. They aren’t trapped by the mistakes of the past or the limitations of the present. I'm of the belief that drawing from CDPs isn't a taxable event, but when collateral is sold during liquidation, that is taxable. With that said, none of the major crypto tax reporting software I'm aware of have support for CDPs. I'm quite familiar with using bitcoin.tax to calculate capital gains, and thought I'd try entering all CDP draws of x Dai as a purchase of x Dai for x USD. I entered CDP wipes of x Dai as a sale of x Dai for x USD. Additionally, I leave the transaction hash of the draw/wipe in the notes field. Do you see anything wrong with this? My main concern is paying the correct amount of tax, and it doesn't bother me if the report contains buys/sells I've fabricated to support use of CDPs.
It seems odd to me that bitcoin.tax calculates an overall capital loss for my Dai trades when I do this. Perhaps it's due to selling Dai for ETH, and then buying Dai with ETH after ETH dropped significantly. I'd expect this to be a capital loss in the ETH section though...

The crypto space has been plagued by bad news today.
In the early morning, it was revealed that Cryptopia had been hacked and may be shut down long term. There are some allegations that this is an exit scam rather than a hack. Cryptopia had been used as the main exchange for numerous small-cap altcoins, and this hack may be a critical blow to such coins.
The panic from multiple different small-cap cryptocurrencies collapsing due to the loss of Cryptopia has been enough to tinge the entire crypto space with negativity. The total crypto market cap declined from $124 billion to $122.5 billion throughout the day after the Cryptopia news broke, with Bitcoin (BTC) declining from $3,670 to $3,630.
Then things got worse.
Ethereum’s (ETH) dev team delayed the Constantinople hard fork indefinitely due to a critical security bug. This delay comes only a day before the scheduled deployment of the fork. This creates a confusing situation where users who were urged to upgrade to Constantinople must now upgrade again to get rid of Constantinople.
There is fear, uncertainty, and doubt throughout the Ethereum (ETH) community, and the integrity of the fork’s code is being called into question. Already the Constantinople fork was to be tension filled due to the disenfranchisement of miners, and this delay may inflame the situation and make a negative outcome more likely.
After news broke of the critical security bug in Constantinople and the subsequent delay, Ethereum (ETH) quickly dropped from $130 to $120 (8 percent). Bitcoin (BTC) quickly dropped from $3,630 to $3,530 but has since recovered to $3,575. The total cryptocurrency market cap declined another $2 billion to $120.5 billion, down $4 billion (3.2 percent) on the day.
All other major cryptocurrencies are down as well today. Ripple (XRP) is down two percent, Bitcoin Cash (BCH) is down four percent, Bitcoin SV (BSV) is down five percent, EOS is down three percent, Stellar (XLM) is down three percent, Litecoin (LTC) is down four percent, Tron (TRX) is down three percent, Monero (XMR) is down two percent, Dash is down four percent, and Dogecoin (DOGE) is down three percent.
The CBoE Bitcoin futures contract expiration is tomorrow Jan. 16, and although a less significant event than the CME Bitcoin futures contract expiration, it could also be a force behind today’s Bitcoin (BTC) price decline.
The fallout from the Cryptopia hack and Ethereum (ETH) Constantinople fork delay will likely result in additional negative market fallout over the next day. We’ll be watching and reporting.
