The Morning Update for June 12th

For Trading JUNE 12th

IT’S NEVER DIFFERENT!!

Sometimes it Just Takes Longer

Declines Across All Asset Classes

Today’s market was just waiting to happen, and finally it had the FED to blame. More specifically, it had the influx of newly minted retail investors, bored without any sports to bet their PUA and unemployment checks on, and taking a “shot on anything that looked cheap” (not by p/e, but just by price) and all those great bankruptcy lotto plays. To be fair, the spike in COVID-19 cases across 20 states and places like Arizona telling anyone who would listen that they are at capacity in their ICUs, and we had a perfect storm for the sellers. Add to that the unbridled speculation in airlines and cruise ships going back into business and BA going from $140 to $240 (pre-market, not in the real world) and “What could possibly go wrong?” Well, BA traded down to $166.00 before a minor bounce to close $170.00 -33.41 (16.42%). By midday the down 900 preopening futures looked tame with the DJIA -1400 (5%) and the NAZ -400 and the S&P -140. Then, at 2:30 when the margin calls hit the next wave sent us to -1750 by 3:00. Things calmed down for a while and the teleprompter readers made all sorts of excuses for the fall, but the fact that we went too far too fast with no REAL economic justification, or realistic expectation about what a “reopening of the country” would look like, all the while the Orange Emperor and his henchmen were telling anyone who would listen that this was a “rocket ship.” Seems more like the Challenger disaster today. The final numbers were DJIA -1861.82 (6.9%), NASDAQ -527.62 (5.27%), S&P 500 -188.04 (5.89%, the Russell -111.17 (7.58%), and the Transports – 741>66 (7.74%). Market internals were absurdly warped with the NYSE 33:1 down and NASDAQ 13:1. Volume was slightly higher than yesterday. All 11 S&P sectors were lower and the DJIA had no gainers. The biggest losers were BA -228, UNH-151, GS -132, AAPL -116, and HD -103 DPs. The worst losses were in energy, financials, industrials, material’s and real estate. Least bad was consumer staples.

SECTORS: I’m going to change up and shorten tonight’s Note since it was such an overwhelming bad day. I’ll list all sectors with the worst and least worst and the ETF to reflect the overall damage. There were a couple earnings reports, LULU missed numbers by a penny with .22 vs .23 expected. The stock was $308 -14.73 (4.5%) before the numbers and after the miss the stock traded $282 with a last of 287 – another $21 for a total loss of 36.25 (11.2%). Adobe (ADBE) beat on earnings but missed on revenues, but the market was pleased, nonetheless. The stock had closed $388.30 -18.52 (4.55%) but turned on a dime and headed back to trade $407.11 and is currently 403 +15 (3,.8%). Last, we had great news on human trials for REGN for Covid-19 antibodies but after making a new all-time high @ $625.79, even REGN was subject to the decline and finished the day $30 off the highs at $596.77 -9.82 (1.62%).

FOOD SUPPLY CHAIN was LOWER with FLO the only gainer +.52 (2.26%) and BGS, maker of Green Giant and Ortega to name a few was $22.46 -2.88 (11.37%), HRL and SJM, consumer staples were both down about 2.5% PBJ finished $30.24 -1.24 (3.95%).

BIOPHARMA was LOWER with the best performer, REGN (see above) -1.72% and BHC 17.35 -1.43 (7.61%) and IBB $127.57 -5.77 (4.33%).

CANNABIS: was LOWER with CRON $6.56 -1.03 (13.57%) the worst and GWPH $121.13 -7.00 (5.46%) the best and MJ $13.45 -1.40 (9.43%).

DEFENSE was LOWER with LMT -13.80 (3.42 %) the best and TXT $31.63 -3.71 (10.5%) and ITA $166.40 -14.68 (8.11%).

RETAIL was LOWER with M -1.06 (13.35%) the worst and WMT the best -1.07 (.88%), and XRT $40.84 -2.36 (5.48%).

FAANG and Big Cap: were LOWER with BA the worst (see above) -31.26 or (15.52%) and NFLX -3.48 (1.95%) and XLK $98.39 -5.72 (5.49%).

FINANCIALS were LOWER with C $48.70 -7.17 (12.84%) and V 189.01 -11.47 (5.72%) the best and XLF $23.22 -1.97 (7.82%).

OIL, $36.34 -3.26. Oil was under pressure all day, finishing near the lows and is slightly lower tonight. The stocks were weak with OXY $17.59 -3.17 (15.27%) and CVX $89.80 -7.78 (7.97 the best performer. XLE finished $38.96 -3.92 (9.14%).

METALS, GOLD: $1,739.80 +19.10. After trading higher this morning Gold and Silver both got sold off with the massive liquidation that hit all markets. After finishing no better than mid-range, we are lower by $4 tonight. We bought back the 3rd and final lot of NEM @ $58.86.

BITCOIN: closed $9,300 -635. After trading higher again early this morning (10080) BTC got hit with the same liquidation as all other stocks and commodities. It fell back to 9,090 and is slightly higher tonight. We added 350 shares of GBTC last Wednesday @ $10.02 to our position of 400 @ $8.06, bringing our average price to $8.97. GBTC closed $10.76 -1.53 today.

Introduction to Oikos:

Decentralised Synthetic Assets, Oikos is a Tron based synthetic asset platform that provides on-chain exposure to fiat currencies, commodities, stocks, and indices. Synthetic assets (Synths) are backed by Oikos Network Tokens (OKS) locked into a smart contract as collateral. Synths track the prices of various assets, allowing crypto-native and unbanked users to trade P2C (peer-to-contract) on Oikos Exchange without liquidity limitations.

Trustless Token Exchange, Oikos Swap is a Tron port of Uniswap: a trustless decentralized exchange that allows users to trade any Tron-based token without any deposits or withdrawals to a centralized order book. Better yet, Oikos Swap liquidity pools have little to no slippage for the vast majority of transactions. Anyone can contribute by adding or removing liquidity to gain commissions in the form of exchange fees as well as rewards paid in OKS token.

The Team

Manuel Corona

Co-Founder & Marketing Expert

Manuel had an early fascination with technology that led him to work with many talented people and co-found several technology projects. He is a skilled marketer, IT expert and his interests span from programming to distributed system design and of course, cryptocurrencies. His early vision for Oikos was determinant and he led the project from the idea phase to deployment.

Albert Rodriguez

Co-Founder & Mad Scientist

Albert is an early Bitcoin, Ethereum and Tron adopter. His fascination for DeFi lead him to come up with the idea for Oikos and everything started from there. He is also a very talented developer with experience in several programming languages. His daily routine consists in drinking a lot of coffee, writing code and thinking of new possible directions for Oikos.

Kevin Holder

Software Engineer

Kevin is a talented software engineer that has been through the whole technology stack during the course of his career, from cryptography to front end web development. Before Oikos, he spent his time developing smart contracts, studying decentralized applications and contributing to open source. His programming languages of choice are, in no particular order, Solidity, JavaScript and Rust.

Technical Information

Arbitrage: OKS STAKER creates the debt by exploiting Synths, so if the Synths exchange rate system falls, they can now profit by buying back sUSD below par and burning sUSD to reduce debt. Because the Oikos system always puts a dollar value on $1.00.

sTRX Liquidity Pool: Liquidity providers are providing depth to the sTRX/TRX Oikos Swap liquidity pool. The deeper this pool, the less slippage traders pay when entering or exiting the system. Liquidity providers do not need to stake or hold OKS, only TRX and sTRX. To receive rewards they must stake their Oikos Swap LP tokens into a purpose-built smart contract.

OKS Auctions: Oikos is currently experimenting with a new mechanism in conjunction with dFusion (from Gnosis) where discounted OKS will be sold in TRX auctions and then used to purchase Synths under pegged.

Token Information

Name: Oikos Network Token (OKS)

Total supply: 100,000,000 OKS

Public Sale:0.025USD (20–31 May 2020)

https://preview.redd.it/wv5o6u8rq9451.png?width=601&format=png&auto=webp&s=bbc3cd6a39fcd09ed6a1f5b63b37c8d73be6bc3a

OKS Staking Rewards

Exchange fees are generated whenever a user exchanges one synthetic asset (Synth) for another through Oikos.Exchange. Fees are typically between 10–100 bps (0.1%-1%), though usually 30 bps, and when generated are sent to the fee pool, where it is available to be claimed proportionally by OKS stakers each week. The OKS reward is generated through the inflationary monetary policy implemented in March 2018. From March 2019 to August 2023, the total supply of OKS will increase from 100,000,000 to 260,263,816 with a weekly decay rate of 1.25% (from December 2019). Mortgagors can trade fees to receive incentives. The incentive that OKS receives through inflationary supply will gradually diminish until September 2023, when OKS will become a 2.5% Year-end inflation rate.

Mining, Burning, Mortgage Ratio

The above mechanism ensures that OKS mortgagees have an incentive to keep their collateral ratios (C-Ratio) at optimal ratios (currently at 800%). This ensures that Synths has sufficient collateral support to soak up large price shocks. If the value of OKS or Synths fluctuates, each staker’s C ratio will fluctuate. If the ratio is below 800% (despite the small allowance for minor fluctuations) then they will not be able to charges before the ratio recover. They can adjust their percentage if Synths are above 800% and burn Synths if their percentage are below 800%.

Roadmap

Q2 2020

Alpha launch, token distribution event, official Tron main-net launch.

Q3 2020

Official audit, listing on exchanges, launch of additional Synths.

Q4 2020

Launch of mobile-ready user interface, port TheGraph to Tron network.

Q1 2021

Integrate ChainLink technology, research on decentralized governance models, alternative liquidation mechanism.

Q2 2021

Morning Sheet for June 11th

For Trading JUNE 11th

FED DOES NOTHING

NASDAQ at Another New High!

U.S. DOLLAR CONTINUES TO WEAKEN

Today’s market was just another day dominated by FAANG stocks with new all-time highs from AAPL, MSFT, AMZN, TSLA, and NVDA. But the DJIA was all over the place, spending the first hour headed down to the low of the day -334 before working higher and then taking off to the upside after the FED announcement making the high +83 by 2:30 and then heading back and forth and settling -282.31 (1.04, NASDAQ +66.59 (.67%), S&P 500 -17.04 (.53%), the Russell -39.66 (2.63 and the DJ Transports -246 (2.51%). Internals were not as weak as the market looked with NYSE A/D 2.5:1 and NASDAQ 1.8:1. Volume was about average and the DJIA was 23 down and 7 up with AAPL adding 61 and MSFT 48 DPs while BA was the big loser -91 with AXP, JPM, GS, and TRV each lower by 31DP’s. The strength came from Information tech (FAANG) but the weakness came from energy, financials, industrials and real estate. Not a good looking day.

Our “open forum” on Discord, which allows me to interact with subscribers and others to allow direct questions and chart opinions on just about any stock, continues to grow with more participants every day. It is informative and allows me to share insights as the market is open and moving. The link is: https://discord.gg/ATvC7YZ and I will be there and active from before the open and all day. It’s a great place to share ideas and gain some insights, and we’ve grown to almost 1900 members. I also did this video titled “How to survive being an options trader and not blow up your account,” over the long weekend. I think it’s very informative as a guide to stock selection and option choices. The link is https://youtu.be/Y7H9RpWfLlo Enjoy!!

Tonight’s closing comment video https://youtu.be/XX4bgWZNtH8

SECTORS: The big news was no news from the FED, as expected. Rates fell slightly but the Financials fell hard. The forecasts for 2020 GDP (-6.5%) and 2021 (+5%) weren’t much of a surprise. The real news was Taubman (TCO) getting kicked to the curb by Simon Properties (SPG) and cancelling their marriage. The reaction was swift, sending TCO down to $26.70, but it finished $36.17 (9.08%) while SPG got less of a hit moving to $&* before it managed a close of $83.01 -3.46 (4%). This will not be a civil divorce.

Q3 2020

Which cryptocurrencies are BEST to invest in today?

Is it worth investing in cryptocurrencies at all? For some people the idea of this kind of investment is not the best idea, however, someone invests actively and will be rewarded for it.

The main objective of the investment is to buy coins that can be more expensive after some time. Thus, it is necessary to invest either in already stable cryptocurrencies that are growing or in new and promising cryptocurrencies. You definitely need to invest wisely, having previously studied the basics of blockchain technologies, learn how to create cryptocurrency wallets, and correctly process transactions. Then, you need to generally study the market, analyze the prospects of a project. If you are considering a certain coin for investment, then you need to pay attention to such indicators as:

  1. Stability Level
  2. Criteria and reasons for future growth
  3. Safety
  4. Convenience of storage and movement

May was a month full of events for the world of cryptocurrencies. Bitcoin Halving made many crypto investors nervous. This month they tested their analytical skills and tried their luck. Coins have passed the test of strength. Nevertheless, crisis periods end and competent investments generate income. In 2020, we can talk about the following interesting options for crypto investment:

XMR
Now it costs about 68 dollars, its capitalization is 1,138,805,955 dollars. This is a relatively new cryptocurrency, which appeared about three years ago and almost immediately appeared in the list of the most popular cryptocurrencies. This is a completely independent unit which has nothing in common with Bitcoin. The creators set the development of a maximally anonymous service that could protect the data of transaction participants using the CryptoNote protocol as their main goal.

NEM
This currency is a Japanese development, which was released in 2015. Interest in this digital payment system quickly moved beyond Japan. Its basis is a decentralized anonymous network, which was originally developed for the safe conduct of operations by banks. An interesting feature of the network is the ability to conduct more than 3000 transactions per second.

ETH
ETH coins are necessary for millions of developers and companies to conclude smart contracts, release decentralized applications, and pay a fee.

NEO
The NEO cryptocurrency is included in the TOP 50 of the Coinmarketcap rating and, unlike Ethereum, the maximum coin issue in this project is limited. The ecosystem is actively developing, cooperation with popular blockchain startups as Bancor, Coindash, and Agrello has already been established.

XLM
The Stellar team has negotiated a partnership agreement with financial companies Tempo and ZED, ICO Smartlands and Mobius, and large banks. The XLM blockchain has high throughput, there is no additional emission and only 5% of all created coins are controlled by the Stellar Foundation.

BTC
Bitcoin continues to lead the market. The relevance of investment in this coin, according to many cryptoanalysts, is only growing, that’s why we advise you not to throw it off.

Well and the most important thing is to remember that peace of calm and patience are the two best friends of crypto investments. Good luck!

'''

As many of you already know, Bitcoin is considered a deflationary currency because of its limited supply. This means that unlike fiat currencies, there is no central power or authority that can decide to create more bitcoins. The system is designed to allow for a total supply of 21 million Bitcoins.

Currently, about 18.5 million Bitcoins have been mined so far. Originally, miners were rewarded with 50 BTC every 10 minutes. This amount has been cut in half every four years. The most recent Bitcoin Halving was on May 11th, 2020 resulting in the current 6.25 BTC/10 min reward. The process will continue until the last bitcoin is mined in 2140.

What Happens Then?

If Bitcoin miners help verify transactions and add new blocks to the system in exchange for Bitcoin as compensation, why would they continue doing so once the system stops offering rewards? This is a valid question that many new [Bitcoin traders]1 may have. Initially, a collapse seems inevitable as miners no longer have an incentive to maintain the system. Luckily, there is another mechanism through which miners are rewarded.

Every Bitcoin transaction comes with a small cost or fee that is also paid to miners. In fact, transaction fees will likely become the main incentive for miners much earlier than 2140. As mining rewards become exponentially small and transaction fees increase in value as the price of Bitcoin increases and more users adopt it, the limited supply of Bitcoin will no longer be a concern.

It is also important to keep in mind that in the decade or so that Bitcoin has existed, it has already undergone many changes. New forks, methods, protocols, and other innovations may significantly affect the entire system and even associated industries such as [Bitcoin derivatives trading]2 in unpredictable ways. We are excited to see what the future has to offer.

SpaceX & NASA Bitcoin Livestream Scam! (Must be taken down ASAP)

Hey guys! So there's this guy who has a 24/7 SpaceX Demo 2 mission livestream that is constantly looping, running since yesterday.

He somehow has 242K subscribers (maybe a YouTuber's hacked account?), and has the channel name as "SpaceX", so he's pretty much impersonating them.

Not only that, but he is also scamming kids who believe the stream is real, telling them if they send x amount of bitcoin to a certain address, they will receive double the amount in return. Of course claiming the "event" is sponsored by SpaceX and Nasa.

There are thousands of viewers watching the stream right now, and I'm sure many of them fell for the scam. This stream must be taken down immediately. I saw it yesterday and didn't think it would be able to last this long, so I didn't post anything about it but it's getting out of hand now.

Here is the stream URL: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lKcVtxCAZEs
