Bitclout is currently appearing in top awarded because it consistently gets expensive awards in top awarded on Reddit. r/BitClout has several posts with Tenerion and higher awards.
The actual website, bitclout.com also has some controversy. It seems that at least a couple of people have been scammed and might've lost their funds. Also, they are making NFTs of celebrities without their permission.
It gets even iffier after this. People are advertising their passwords for several thousand dollars, 0.1 bitcoin.
Their website seems pretty black, but with some inspect element, we can see that they are hold an event on March 17th from 2 to 3 PM, though I do not know which timezone.

We can see a white page made for this. From what I am gathering, it treats different celebrities as different cryptos and they naturally go up and down because of supply and demand. It also seems to support the creators by giving them a certain percentage of the coins created. Pretty decent ideas if it wasn't so scammy. It also deals with their popularity ideally. If someone has a controversy, then their BitClout coin will go down, and if someone has an achievement, their coin will go to the moon! Coins are also much much more scarcer than other cryptos. With about a hundred or so being in existence. Once again, decent ideas, and decent funding, but this entire thing seems off.
In the end, this will probably be another scam due to the decentralization of blockchain. I would've really liked this if it was more trustworthy, but it absolutely is not. I do not recommend buying any of this unless you're willing to lose that money.
