I hate when documentaries use news presenter montages

When I watch a documentary or news story on a topical event, it's common for them introduce it with a clip reel of different news presenters saying the related buzzword over and over. It seems to be more common in tech or finance stories. For example, a documentary on crypto might have a montage where news reporters say "bitcoin" over and over, or an [redacted] documentary might have people saying [redacted] over and over.

I hate it. Maybe it's meant to add a sense of gravity or legitimacy to the topic (look at all these serious people discussing X, so X must be important!) but it feels so trashy and patronizing. It's annoying, time-wasting, and is basically a pathetic appeal to popularity. I know it typically only lasts a few seconds or so, but those few seconds feel like an eternity due to the cringe-induced time dilation. It automatically makes me think less of the documentary, if only briefly. Sadly it's also a really widespread trend, appearing in both professional documentaries and amateur youtube documentaries.
