Cryptocurrencies are the greatest investment in the history and one of the most overrated things at the same time

I don't need to explain, at least not in this sub that if you had invested X amount of dollars in 20__ you would have Y amount of dollars right now. That has been posted over and over again here. I will look at things from a different perspective.

Whenever there is something big in the world and it gets talked about for a week+, you can bet your house that there will be a post about how Crypto could have solved that.

This year's most talked about event were the record inflations all over the World. When all the coins were flying high this sub was full of posts about how Bitcoin is a hedge against inflation. And that you were losing money if your fiat was just sitting in the bank. Well, Bitcoin went from 69k to 40k.

How is that hedge against inflation when you would have lost more money if you bought Bitcoin at the top rather than sitting on your hands? Crypto is great, please don't put more meaning into it than deserved.
