No Yen, Got XCP?: A Sake Bar In Tokyo that accepts CounterParty

With the recent positive news of the Japanese government adopting a favorable light touch industry self-regulation policy in regards to blockchain innovation

I decided to explore some of the things going on in the CounterParty front in Japan, which has been a small but quite popular project (and growing) with a loyal following.

This will be a brief overview part of a mini-series covering a few platforms/projects building on, or integrating with the counterparty protocol in Japan, since we don't hear much about it over in the west.

Avacus (https://avacus.io/) owned by Floor Tracks Inc, launched a service that gives shoppers using bitcoin discounts in conjunction with their counterparty token (the business model is somewhat like purse)

Shares (and sub-shares) of the avacus token are tradeable on the DEX. The counterparty decentralized exchange is also used for voting and distribution of new offshoots/collaborations

A cutesy overview of the history (in Japanese) can be found here

http://avacus.info/ava-teaser/

They've just partnered with another company offering tokens for event-sponsorship and real life collectibles (keychains, shirts for now)

Now they've just launched a pop-up bar in Tokyo-Shibuya, where you can pay for Sake with XCP or their counterparty tokens! plus some real life collectibles (in conjunction with another company with their recently launched counterparty token)

Other than drinking the purpose of the bar is to allow users a place to study or make connections with like-minded crypto folk

For halloween they're doing a launch party with free organic ice cream, cosplay and costume booths, so if any counterpartyers are in Tokyo or find them self there in future consider checking it out!
