Lisk Highlights, May 6th 2019: Lisk Center Utrecht will livestream during their month of big meetups.

Hello there. Here is my selection for today's highlights and interesting items within the Lisk ecosystem and beyond.....

Lisk Center Utrecht will livestream during their month of big meetups.

Let's face it, we can't all make the trip to the Utrecht every time that region's Lisk Center hosts a meetup that tickles our fancy, and that goes doubly for those of us in a different country or even different timezones. So I was pleased to hear that LCU are to begin livestreaming for the first time via twitter. It is not clear yet whether this will be partial streaming of events or whether it will be the full presentations, and whether it will be every event or just a curated selection. Whichever it is to be we have plenty of strong livestream contenders upcoming this month in the Utrecht centre, beginning this Thursday with one for all you gaming blockchainers.

May 9, 2019 brings the presentation, "How blockchain will change the gaming industry!" In the last decade, we have seen the gaming industry being rapidly transformed by the introduction of new technologies which allow for immersive experiences, such as AI, VR, and AR. However, one of the latest of these emerging technologies — blockchain — is set to redefine the future of gaming by turning what has been seen as a leisure activity into a potentially economic endeavour. In this respect, blockchain looks set to disrupt the gaming industry, and enable a new way for players and developers to interact with gaming platforms. With nearly 70% of the American population playing video games, and with the gaming market forecasted to be worth more than $138 billion by the end of the year, how is blockchain set to transform the gaming industry?

Pieter Dubelaar, Systems Architect & Blockchain Team Lead for Triple Information Technology and Services will speak on the topic, "Current blockchain market"

Bart van Maarseveen, blockchain consultant, entrepreneur, and Komodo Platform Notary Node team member will speak on Komodo Gaming and take a Q&A session.

Peter van Grinsven, CEO at the nTitle gaming licensing platform will speak on nTitle and their relationship with gaming.

Tickets for this event can be booked here.

Best of luck with the meetup, folks, and I am looking forward to any livestreams that happen in the future.
