BKK Hack Night

BKK Hack Night is back!!

This month we have two presentations that should be quite interesting:

1) Sitt Guruvanich u/aekasitt on Telegram, will be demonstrating a simple crowd funding crypto contract implemented in Vyper (a python-derived contract language for Ethereum EVM) but will deploy it on the new SmartBCH platform which just went live. This is an example of two great technologies pushing the boundaries of cryptoledger development.

2) Ben Scherrey u/proteusguy on Telegram, will show how we design an actor model concurrency system using sequence diagrams and an initial implementation of it written in Erlang. The application in question is a service that implements rate limiting and will ultimately provide a guaranteed Service Level Agreement (SLA) enforcement for the BitcoinCash services hosted at https://rest.bch.actorforth.org/ and https://slpdb.bch.actorforth.org/explorer . This will be a time limited talk that walks people through the kind of design process we use and how that gets mapped to the ultimate code that implements the design.

This Thursday @ 5p BKK (GMT+7) we will resume both in person and online. If you want to attend in person please RSVP at the Meetup event at this link: https://www.meetup.com/bkkhack/events/jcmkgsyccmbnc/

If you want to attend online you can join our new multi-way video streaming service, LiveConnect, by clicking this link: http://liveconnect.biggestfan.live/?room=guermessa-psadan . People on the LiveConnect service will be able to participate in Q&A for both talks in real time. It’s deployed in Thailand so being inside Thailand will give you the optimum experience. Users outside of Thailand may experience poor latency/bandwidth due to international gateway limitations.

If you encounter any issues you can view on the live simulcast at YouTube by going to this link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CAfXPLWmvVQ
