Meet Skill Guilds
Have you ever wanted to get involved with a new play-to-earn game but couldn’t afford to start because of the high price of the NFTs? Or perhaps you’re looking to play a game as a scholar, but can’t find anyone available to sponsor you? Well, luckily for you, Skill Guilds enters the fold.
Skill Guilds is a platform that takes its mission to unite investors, games and players seriously by acting as a facilitator of sorts. Anybody interested purely in investing and earning passive income can purchase a special NFT representing a share in the Skill Guilds DAO. These DAO NFTs come attached to specific play-to-earn games and allow Skill Guilds to crowdfund the purchase price of competitive game pieces, meaning investors can get into a project at a price cheaper than it would to enter the scene alone. These NFTs are then lent out to their own in-house scholars, who play the game and bring back the rewards.
70% of all scholars’ earnings are then redistributed to these DAO NFT holders, while the rest is used to pay the scholars and platform for their time and management. Each month after payback, NFT holders get to vote on whether they would like to continue with the play-to-earn game, or if they should sell the NFTs Skill Guilds had bought at market price and send money back to the original DAO NFT owners. The proportion of all payouts are relative to their share of the overall DAO NFT pool.
Scholars who are looking to partake in these play-to-earn games but who do not currently have the funds to buy the necessary NFTs required to play can also apply on the Skill Guilds website for their scholarship program, which will enable you to start playing and earning via the NFTs bought by the Skill Guilds DAO.
For more context, the current Skill Guilds initiative is focused on their Cyball DAO NFT, which allows investors to own a CyBloc without having to commit to the total price or the time required to play the game itself. Previous campaigns included Pegaxy and Axie Infinity, which shows they really try to focus on some of the best play-to-earn titles in the space. They’re also backed by big-name players in the space, including Shima Capital, Plutus.VC and WealthUnion, to name a few.
A few other benefits that Skill Guilds brings to the fold include their real-time dashboards (which allow users to track the performance of their scholars and compare them to other guilds), the ability to build your own guilds or join others, receive funding via various sponsorship programs, mentorship opportunities, and an early lead on new promising projects in the space.
The $SKG Token
Gaming guilds are still quite a new concept and therefore it’s essential to discuss the native token on which Skill Guilds will run in order to help better understand the benefits and utility that Skill Guilds has to offer.
The $SKG token will play a crucial part for its holders, granting them powerful benefits such as participation in the DAO’s governance, IDO access, reward earnings and even being paid service commissions.
More utilities originating from holding the token include the acquisition of additional scholars, receiving certain scholarships and opportunities to invest in platinum guilds.

The crypto jungle can sometimes be challenging to navigate, and it is our job to make sure that you fully understand the new projects we partner with. Throughout an exciting series of events on our social media platforms this week, we will do a deep dive together with the Skill Guilds team into what their project is about and how you can best get involved.
Twitter Giveaway
Preceding its official booster pack release, we will kick off our event week with a special Twitter giveaway on May 9th (3:00 PM UTC). To buck the trend, each reward for our Skill Guilds event week will reward our winning participants with IDO allocations into Skill Guilds’ upcoming TGE. Make sure you follow our Twitter account so you don’t miss this first chance at scoring a coveted IDO allocation!
Discord AMA & Quiz
After kicking things off with our Twitter giveaway, we will hold an AMA (Ask Me Anything) session on the official Polychain Monsters Discord. On May 10th (2:00 PM UTC), the Skill Guilds team will come join us live for an hour, giving our community the opportunity to ask questions and learn more about their unique gaming approach directly from the source.
At the end of the AMA, there will be a short quiz about what was discussed. The rules are as follows: The first person to correctly answer a question will score a point, and the person with the most points will win a Skill Guilds IDO allocation. Make sure to warm up your fingers as the competition is sure to be tough!
NFT Creation Contest
Then, on May 10th (4:00 PM UTC), we will begin hosting an NFT Creation Contest on Twitter. We noticed you enjoyed our latest Sweet & Sour NFT challenge and so here we are with round 2!
To participate in the Sweet & Sour NFT challenge, you will need to show us the Skill Guilds Unikles as rough and tough as a Gladiator of the racing arena, or as a sweet pony looking up to the big crypto racing jungle he is set to conquer. The choice is yours!
Remember, to be eligible to participate, you will need to mint your creation as an NFT on a secondary marketplace of your choice. Do not forget that it has to represent both Polychain Monsters and our partnership with Skill Guilds. Moreover, all participants need to submit their artwork before May 15th (4:00 PM UTC) through the submission form linked on Twitter and by tagging and following both the @polychainmon and @SkillGuilds Twitter accounts.
Our team will carefully select one winner per category. Then, to give a fair chance to every eligible participant without top designer skills, we will randomly raffle off the additional three prizes to all eligible entrants. Winners will be officially announced on May 16th.
Twitter Spaces AMA
And finally, on May 12th (2:00 PM UTC), we will host an AMA on Twitter Spaces. This audio chat room on Twitter enables us to host and participate in live conversations with the Skill Guilds team — and you’ll be able to talk with them too!
