Okay guys I'm gonna give you the guide I put in all my buy offers to try and educate people. Theres no excuse for a buyer of btc to get scammed other then naivety. (sellers too, if it weren't for charge backs exist ill teach you how to beat those another day) :
don't risk losing your hard earned money to scam accounts.
- HIGH review count means nothing, if they're mostly the same people or all low amt be weary
- NEVER contact them off paxful. they're not gonna give you a quick deal just a quick scam. its against ToS of paxful to share these details. Having a record protects YOU. if its off site its out of paxfuls domain.
- to reiterate ALWAYS USE ESCROW
- If it seems to good to be true it probably is! there's a lot of fees involved to get bitcoins onto paxful to sell there's no way they're going to sell at a loss. would you?
- Finally, take your sweet damn time to release your funds, there's no reason they cant wait 5 mins for you to confirm everything. BTC held in escrow is safe and you will get it back in a timely manner if you protect yourself.
If you ever need help or feel another trader is acting suspicious ask me about it I know their tricks. ( learned a lot of lessons starting out so you don't have too.) gimme a job pax :P
bonus tip - gift card traders, or even any trader, use a screen recorder always have that shit rolling when trading you cant be too careful.
any other helpful tips lads and ladies?
edit: Bonus tip 2 : i know its hard as a new trader to get bites, but if you are the one posting the offer it puts you in a more authoritative position to dictate terms. its weird going to someone else's offer with way more feedback asking them to prove theyre ID and KYC verification, right? (which you definitely should many accounts being bought sold and hacked every day (set up 2fa) if anything feels wrong back out.
and to you scammers, its a really big pie, peer to peer finance, theres a lot more money to be made going legit and you get to keep your soul. ill teach you.
