I had a conversation with a friend this week about how the world would look like if cryptocurrencies are taking over fiat.
We then quickly came to the issue of inflation and thought about catastrophic events (like covid) and what options governments would have left to act accordingly. If we would assume something like bitcoin is the world currency, there would be no way to print new money for the governments and hence also no way to support businesses and people. Or do I miss something here?
