Following this post on read.cash, a reward mechanism has now been built. It takes the form of another bot (me; u/rbtc-tipper) that collects funds for a semi-regular (averaging weekly) mass tipping event which will reward the top posts of a subreddit whose mods approve of this activity on their sub.

The bot will collect funds into a single address that it has linked with the chaintip bot. Funds can be giving publicly through chaintip on the weekly tipping thread, or anonymously be sending straight to the address.

A mass tipping event will be triggered based on the latest block hash so that the timing of the event is random and distributed around an average weekly tipping period. This will make it such that trying to game the system directly before the event is not possible.

We'll be trialing this system with a shorter average tipping period of 1 day on r/btc. Expect the first event to happen quite soon :)
