If you are a greyhat, blackhat, whateverhat, a citizen living under a complete totalitarian regime, or just a schmuck like me who wants to do a small part in protesting the USA's slow creep toward tech enabled authoritarianism, how does one really give the assholes behind the monitors in the fusion centers a run for their money? I've looked high and low for a decent guide, and I have not found anything worth a damn.
A quick look through the many Reddit threads regarding the topic at hand would suggest that there is no way to make finding/identifying/tracking you even close to impossible. Supposedly, the feds control enough of the Tor Nodes to effectively make Tor useless, proxies and proxy chains are easy to follow back for a state level actor, and VPN/VPS's are risky, since even if they reside in a nation that is not friendly with the nation you reside in, you pay them in washed Bitcoin or privacy coins, and they don't keep logs, it is always possible that the VPN provider could become compromised at any point in time, and then they could record logs, and then you're fucked. I am by no means an expert in any of this, as any of you experts reading can certainly tell.
In short, how do we put a middle finger up to the NSA? How do we resist?
