Good morning, SqueezeFinders!

Yesterday, the market threw us an extra volatile trading session where the $QQQ tech index opened at 568.33, and within an hour and a half after the bell, we saw intraday lows below 559 (558.64) before a partial intraday recovery ensued. A mix of tariff policy uncertainty, weak economic data releases, and general tech sector are weaker (led by companies like $PLTR for example). Today's main directional sentiment determinants are the below listed economic data releases, and also earnings results from $WMT (premarket). Ideally, $QQQ can hold 540 on larger time-frame, and we can focus on rate decisions to guide us further. Bitcoin trades for ~$114k/coin, spot Gold trades for $3,380/oz, and spot Silver for $37.9/oz. Regardless of whether broader market sentiment, you can always locate relative strength by tapping/clicking the column headers to sort the live watchlist in descending order of whichever data metric is important to you.

Today's economic data releases are:

SATOSHI NAKAMOTO

Seventeen years ago today, Satoshi Nakamoto reached out to Adam Back—Blockstream’s CEO and creator of Hashcash, the Proof-of-Work concept that shaped Bitcoin’s architecture.

That brief yet historic email became the cornerstone of the first decentralized digital currency, igniting a financial and technological revolution. True pioneers and legends of cryptocurrency!

< see email statement below >

From: "satoshi@anonymousspeech. com" <satoshi@anonymousspeech. com> Sent: Wed 8/20/2008 6:30:39 PM (UTC+01:00) To: adam@cypherspace. org Subject: Citation of your Hashcash paper

I'm getting ready to release a paper that references your Hashcash paper and I wanted to make sure I have the citation right. Here's what I have:

[5] A. Back, "Hashcash - a denial of service counter-measure," http:// www. hashcash. org/papers/hashcash.pdf. 2002.

I think you would find it interesting, since it finds a new use for hash-based proof-of-work as a way to make e-cash work. You can download a pre-release draft at http:// www. upload. ae/file/6157/ecash-pdf. html Feel free to forward it to anyone else you think would be interested. I'm also nearly finished with a C++ implementation to release as open source.

Title: Electronic Cash Without a Trusted Third PartyAbstract: A purely peer-to-peer version of electronic cash would allow online payments to be sent directly from one party to another without the burdens of going through a financial institution. Digital signatures offer part of the solution, but the main benefits are lost if a trusted party is still required to prevent double-spending. We propose a solution to the double-spending problem using a peer-to-peer network. The network timestamps transactions by hashing them into an ongoing chain of hash-based proof-of-work, forming a record that cannot be changed without redoing the proof-of-work. The longest chain not only serves as proof of the sequence of events witnessed, but proof that it came from the largest pool of CPU power. As long as honest nodes control the most CPU power on the network, they can generate the longest chain and outpace any attackers. The network itself requires minimal structure. Messages are broadcasted on a best effort basis, and nodes can leave and rejoin the network at will, accepting the longest proof-of-work chain as proof of what happened while they were gone.

The 1985 Hypothetical - Do you accept it?

Welcome to The 1985 Hypothetical, where you are teleported back to this day 40 years ago in 1985. You are instantly awarded $10,000,000 in 1985 money ($30,000,000 today and a whole lot more purchasing power), but you are teleported back at your current age with all of your current memories.

If you ever speak of anything you know about that has not happened yet to anyone, including out loud to yourself, you will die instantly. This means music, shows, events, anything.

Here’s some of the things to remember:

• Time will continue to move as normal. Things that you remember happened that eventually pass will be allowed to be talked about again, as they no longer are from the future. You will be 40 years older than you are currently once 2025 comes back around.

• Likely, your current family and friends will not be in your life again when you get back to present day, as if you’re 25 years old right now, I doubt they’re gonna want to be friends with a 65 year old.

• You can use your knowledge to your advantage. For example, if you happened to remember the day that Bitcoin blew up, you can invest beforehand. But you can’t recommend anyone else to, as you’re telling others something that they shouldn’t know. You’d die. As long as you keep it yourself, take advantage of what you know.

Would you take this? Why or why not?
