So I was on this blockchain company event and spoke to this German central banker and generously asked him about Bitcoin, CBDCs etc. Result: a nice guy but he barely asked back questions, was not very amused about talking about Bitcoin and says they are consumer oriented and just wants to give people a CBDC which they can easily use. I've asked him what he thinks about the Preston Woods agreement / the USD leaving the gold standard and he replies he is not currency specialist (but he works there since 30 years.. so shouldn't he be one?). Ended the convo with thanking him for building the Euro. He's one of the leaders of literally the Euro and I guess he was a bit sad that nobody recognised him by his name but rather by being from the Bundesbank. He seemed like a very smart and humble person.
Yeah that's it. End of message.
