Answer from bitcoin.com regarding the wallet and upcoming fork

TL;DR: Support does not really answer the question and to the point, which makes me personally want to use another wallet until things settle down.

My question:

Hi,

I noticed that the BCH address gets routinely changed and wanted know if it is by transfer or change of the algorithm. My fear is that after 15th of November and in the event that SV wins the hash war the coins cannot be converted in SV because they haven't really remained untouched after 15th of November.

The answer:

Hello,

Although you don't have to generate a new receiving address for each transaction and can continue to use the same address, it is not recommended and not how bitcoin was designed to be used..

Reusing addresses is bad for anonymity, and some argue less secure than using a new address for each transaction. To improve your anonymity and security, it is recommended that you use a new address each time you receive a transaction.

The Bitcoin.com wallet will automatically generate a new bitcoin deposit address for you each time you receive a transaction into your wallet. Although you can still receive deposits to the address used, once you have received a transaction that particular address will no longer show when you tap on "Receive"

Every time you want to receive a new transaction just tap on receive, select the wallet you want the BCH/BTC going to and a fresh address will be displayed, there is nothing more that you need to do.

Bitcoin.com has released the following statement regarding the network-wide BCH upgrade: https://blog.bitcoin.com/november-15th-network-wide-upgrade/

If you would like to see the current support statistics for each different Bitcoin Cash proposal, you can do so here: https://cash.coin.dance/poli

Bitcoin.com will continue running both Bitcoin ABC 18.2 and Bitcoin Unlimited 1.5.0.0 versions after the network-wide upgrade.

As long as you have your BCH recovery phrase written down, any Bitcoin Cash (BCH) you have stored in your Bitcoin.com wallet will always be safe.

After the network upgrade, Bitcoin.com Faucet, Cash Games, and Mining Pool services will send BCH originating from an output using OPCHECKDATASIG. No changes will be made to the Bitcoin.com Wallet with respect to the network upgrade_

This combined with the fact that they do change the address of an existing wallet from time to time, but also the way the answer is written makes me doubt the sincerity. If you want to stay neutral and have a safe place to store funds for the coming storm, don't use bitcoin.com wallet.
