Artifact Bitcoin League Season 4 $2000 Main Event

If you have enjoying playing or watching Artifact at any point, I think tuning into Twitch this weekend to watch the ABL Main Event will be worth your time. This months league implemented an MMR system which reinvigorated our small and passionate community. Games are as competitive as ever -- even if you have no interest in playing currently, come see the potential Artifact has from the perspective of people that love it. Over 300 players competed this month for one of the 128 spots. The meta is always evolving and no specific archetype is widespread -- you'll see significant variance between individuals playstyles (including my regular rainbow drafts).

Last months main event boasted a top 4 consisting of 1st place in group one and places 1-3 in group two. Across so many drafts it becomes obvious how small a role luck plays in this game with the best players consistently performing well.

Format:

Day 1 (Saturday April 27th)

There will be two lobbies of 64 players each, top 16 from each lobby continues to day 2.

  • Phase 1: draft, 64 players, BO2 draws allowed, 2 rounds

  • Phase 2: redraft, 64 players, BO2 draws allowed, 2 rounds

  • Phase 3: redraft, 64 players, BO2 draws allowed, 2 rounds

Day 2 (Sunday April 28th)

Players: top 32 from previous day

  • Phase 1: draft round of 32 and round of 16, bo3

  • Phase 2: redraft round of 8, round of 4, bo3

Grand finals:

  • Finals are a bo5 series, with a slight twist. When a player loses a game, and only once per player, that player may call for a redraft. If they choose to do so, both players will draft new decks.

Prize pool 2k USD/BTC

Many players will be streaming the entirety of the event, and day two will likely be streamed on the official channel. There's usually 6-7h of gameplay for each lobby day 1, and 5ish day 2.
