He's had a hate boner for Twitter for the past several months. This damages their credibility as a platform. Trump wasn't affected, which doesn't let him look vulnerable.

Furthermore: a dumbass Bitcoin hack in broken English makes the event look like some sort of South Asian phishing scam that just went way too well. It puts the blame immediately on twitter.
What would Trump want out of the hack? Dunno, maybe the dms and data of half of the leftist activists/journalists active online. Twitter has been historically uncooperative with government on handing over user data, often to their severe expense.
