HTML editing of online banking

In light of recent events on paxful, of scammers being awarded disputes even when evidence is provided. It’s clear these scammers are uploading some sort of evidence to to sway the moderators decision in awarding them the dispute, added with the scammer having more feedback history, it seems the incompetent paxful moderators are not doing their due diligence and are clearly awarding based on false evidence and feedback history.

What do you think about the scammer uploads for the paxful moderator to award the dispute in favour of the scammer?

I think the scammer is editing his online banking HTML code to show the transaction as being sent, or a simple photoshop image. But for them to make a video, the HTML would need to be edited.

If they awarded on this basis, they are terrible and should be held responsible and pay the money back.

How can you award a dispute on the basis of a screenshot? Or even a video if the HTML has been edited.

They should ask for either a phone call to the bank, even that can be faked. And also a video of the online banking with the inspector open showing if any of the HTML has been edited.

These HTML editing scams are used by Indian call centre refund scammers, to trick the victims into thinking they have been refunded more money than expected, then asked to return the money to the scammers by payment of, wait for it.....GIFT CARDS!!!

Wonder where these gift cards end up? Sold on paxful directly, or brokered to Nigerians to sell on Paxful.

If you are ever in this dispute, be sure to upload a video of your online banking with the HTML inspector open, showing you have not edited the HTML. And request the same from the other party. That way if paxful still awards the scammer, then it’s clear they are incompetent and not checking evidence thoroughly.

This would never happen on LocalBitcoins, I wonder if u/Martha_Paxful can shed some light on why they are awarding scammers the disputes, and clearly jot asking for or sufficient evidence, and not checking properly.

It seems that all you need is some false feedback, and a screenshot of a fake transaction. And you will win the dispute over a new users.

Just watch Kitboga to see how these HTML editing scams work, and how easy it is for a scammer in this situation to use such a technique to sway the dispute in his favour with an incompetent useless shite paxful moderator.
