Is there a more over used word in the crypto space than FUD at the moment? I get it, there is a lot of it aimed at crypto but if we want crypto to be respected as a globally accepted asset (which is happening), we have to accept global news will impact it. That doesn’t make it FUD

People whining about btc environmental impact whilst giving gold a free pass = fud

China banning crypto for 186th time = fud

People likening crypto to a ponzi scheme = fud

People rightly pointing out that $300bn of debt defaulting, could impact global asset prices does not equal fud. It’s a very real possibility. It’s not whales manipulating the market to buy in cheap, it’s that global events will impact crypto, because as it stands, despite the narrative, bitcoin isn’t digital gold. It’s not the place people go to protect value in tough times and it’s inevitably an asset people recognise as very risky and will sell off.

Personally, when people just claim it’s fud when bad news impacts crypto prices, I think it makes us all look a bit silly. Sure, lets fight back when people talk BS, but lets not be afraid to accept that not everything is a conspiracy against us
