During the Web Summit conference in Lisbon, Draper showed optimism about the long-term prospects for Bitcoin. He mentioned that the price prediction of $250k for 2022 remains solid.

“My prediction for $250,000 by 2022 – maybe 2023 but in that range – is absolutely solid, but I’m not so sure how we’re going to get there,” he said.

Cryptocurrencies were one of the most interesting topics to discuss and talk about at the event. Draper seemed very confident about the future of Bitcoin. There are some investors and experts that already modified this year’s predictions.

In the coming months, Bitcoin could receive an important support from institutional investors. The Intercontinental Exchange (ICE) has taken the decision to launch a new platform known as Bakkt. The intention is to allow institutions to start entering the virtual currency market. This new influx of funds to the crypto world could help Bitcoin to reach new price levels.

At the same time, the crypto and financial community are waiting for the U.S Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) to approve the first Bitcoin exchange-traded fund (ETF). This would also have a deep impact in the cryptocurrency market.

There are several experts that have provided their price predictions for the coming years. A few months ago, we wrote at UseTheBitcoin an article about the best crypto predictions for the next years.

John McAfee is perhaps one of the most controversial figures in the cryptocurrency world. He saidthat Bitcoin could reach $1,000,000 dollars by the end of 2020. During Lisbon’s conference, Tim Draper decided to confirm that Bitcoin was headed towards $250k dollars for the coming years.

Bobby Lee, the founder of China’s first Bitcoin exchange, said that Bitcoin will surpass $1 million dollars. In order o do so, he said that Bitcoin will be slowly growing to $100,000, $200,000 and then up to $1 million dollars.
