Anon is a bitcoin custody service that's completely anonymous. We don’t ask for any personally identifiable information from you. We don’t even require your email or phone number.
We offer only one product: the Bitcoin Vault. Simply put, Bitcoin Vault is a place to securely hold your Bitcoin.
To sign up for a Bitcoin Vault you need:
- an anonymous username
- a password
- our mobile app
The mobile app will be our means of communication, it will provide two-factor authentication (2FA), and a couple other things.
That's all you need. Now you can start storing your funds securely in your anonymous Vault.
The Bitcoin Vault has a minimum clearing period of two days, which is the default setting. You can increase that to 30 days if you like. The clearing period gives both of us time to spot any unauthorized access to your account and stop it.
You can have as many Vaults as you like, each with a different clearing period.
We will notify you at multiple intervals of any pending outgoing transfer. We will contact you through email (if you provided that) and always through notifications on the mobile app.
Account recovery
If you lose your password or 2FA, you will not be able to log-in to your Anon account. But don’t worry, you can still be in control of your Bitcoin.
You don't need to reveal your identity to us unless you require account recovery.
You can use our mobile app to share the cryptographic hashes of your personal information. The cryptographic hashes are just numbers. They don’t tell us who you are. But if in the future you needed to recover your account, you will need to tell us who you are. Using the previously provided hashes, we can verify your claim.
After going through account recovery, your identity will no longer be anonymous. That’s why we will need to work together to close your account and delete all of your data. We will guide you through the transfer of your funds out and mixing them. After that, you can open a new Anon account. We get hundreds of new anonymous customers everyday. We wouldn’t know if any of them is you.
Cost
We want to align our economic incentives with serving our customers. That’s why we have a simple and very affordable fee structure for the Anon account.
Our service costs 0.01% of the amount kept in an Anon account per month, up to a maximum of $2,000 per month.
That is, we charge 100 Satoshi out of every 1,000,000 Satoshi you keep with us up to a limit.
In dollar terms, the monthly cost of:
- $10 is 1/10 of a cent
- $100 is 1 cent
- $10,000 is $1
- $20,000,000 is $2,000
If you kept $100 with Anon for a 100 years, the total cost would be less than $12.
We don’t require any payment method. Our monthly fee is deducted from the amount kept.
Privacy and security
We follow the strictest industry practices in safeguarding your funds.
Our systems are geographically distributed.
All of the software we build and use is open source and regularly audited by security experts.
Anon vaults are insured against theft and loss.
Our mobile app can only connect to the internet through TOR, so we can't even detect your location.
Legality
Anon is a United States based company. We are venture capital funded with employees all over the world.
We operate fully within the local legal boundaries.

I know we're all about financial sovereignty, but no matter which way I look at it, safeguarding one's own private keys just doesn't feel right. I feel there should be a better way.
