We've been working hard, and we want to share all of the progress with you.
A New Design for the Logo:
To clean up the site a little bit, we enlisted the help of AnniePro (who you can find on Telegram or Discord under that handle). She created a new look that we absolutely love, incorporating the world and a magnifying glass signifying the search around the world. If anyone is looking for graphic work done, paid in Bitcoin Cash, please reach out to her!

The Bitcoin Cash paper wallet Treasure hunt Directory:
We have been working hard to identify which treasures are claimed and which remain unswept. A few people have asked about this, so to elaborate: We have done two things, directly on the map, by default it shows all treasures that have been created. You can uncheck the "claimed treasures" and you'll be able to see only the ones that are still funded. We watch all addresses, once they are swept, the wallet will become "claimed."
In addition to this, we are working on identifying on the listing page by an image overlay which listings are claimed;
There are three colored pins on the map:
- Green - Active treasures
- Black - Claimed Treasures
- Pink - Merchants (we'll discuss this more below).

Adding and hiding a Wallet:
This is fun and we highly encourage anyone who's interested to get involved. Finding the perfect hiding spot, writing up the perfect clue to where it is, and waiting in anticipation of who is going to find it. Will your treasure be the one that on-boards someone new to Bitcoin Cash?
Some Tips for Hiding treasures:
- Make sure you copy the address of the wallet as there is a form field for it in order to identify when the wallet is no longer active
- Make sure you keep a backup of the private key, in the event the wallet goes missing or remains unclaimed for a certain time.
- Consider writing on the back of the wallet an expiry date.
- Pictures are awesome!
- Try not to put stickers on public/private property as this was brought to my attention to be an overall negative. (i've resorted to putting stickers inside the ziploc bag for the person to enjoy).
- When adding the wallet to the site, there is a geolocation button to make it super easy to not have to add an address.
- Enjoy the process and have fun!
Merchants:
There are a few directories out there to find merchants to spend Bitcoin Cash, we wanted to utilize this map with a merchant category also. We will also in the future add ATMS to the map. The benefit of adding merchants to FindBitcoin.cash are:
- we categorize merchants, so, say for instance you want a hair cut and you want to pay with BCH, well, you can search for hairdressers. We did the same with Online merchants, though they wont be on the map, they do have a category, and we are working hard to add them.
- we want to help create a BCH economy, paying for every service we can with BCH (As we did with the logo). We believe that the addition of merchants on a robust directory on this site will be beneficial for everyone!

The process of adding merchants is time consuming as we are really trying to engage with the merchants that accept Bitcoin Cash in the process. Asking them to fill out their profiles if interested, and genuinely showing support of their business.
We've added their twitter feed to their profile, as well as the ability to review them. I think reviews are important, and giving our community the opportunity to review merchants they deal with is fantastic. Here is an example: https://findbitcoin.cash/online/general/purse-io/

We will also continue working on this side of the site daily as we want it to be accurate and robust, both for the merchant and the user.
