AlgoTrading @ UIUC is an algorithmic trading student organization contributing to NumerAI, a decentralized, crowd-sourced, AI-powered hedge fund on the blockchain. The stock market is held together with toothpicks and love and is ripe for “black swan” events (high impact, low probability, like GME $3 -> +$400), and we want to capitalize on the traditional establishment’s overconfidence in broken models.

Nobody understands the economy, so you’ll fit right in. Members tend to suggest and read a lot of relevant books and articles, so there is value in joining even if you aren’t interested in algorithmic trading in particular.
