Explaining of Easter Egg Event by cryptomonKeys

Since yesterdays event in the Discord channel of the cryptomonKeys was very fun, I wanted to share a guide on how you could have claimed one of the easter eggs in case you were fast enough. Note that there were three eggs to claim which are already claimed (not by me). But once claimed, there is the option to refill those wallets so more people can claim ;) Moreover, in the course of the day there might appear more eggs.

Around midnight there was a card reveal:

I personally use bananovault (https://vault.banano.cc/configure-wallet) or Kalium on mobile phone.

The yellow-orange-stripped egg on the right was the easiest so I will start with this one. To claim this you have to be in your Kalium wallet -> click the options gearwheel on the upper left -> Load from Paper Wallet -> Scan QR Code. Alternatively, you can scan the QR-code, copy the seed somewhere, then go on https://vault.banano.cc/configure-wallet -> import existing wallet -> select import type - Banano Seed -> enter the seed -> import from seed.

For the blue egg in the middle the seed has to be entered manually. However, the egg shell covers a digit of the seed. Here you have to simply guess the missing number by a brute force approach, i.e. trying 0 for the missing number, then 1, 2, ..., A, B until you have the right number. Unfortunately, this can take a long time. Just play attention to the chat in case someone already solved it so that you can stop trying (but be aware of cheaters). For https://vault.banano.cc/configure-wallet this works essentially the same as for the egg on the right and for Kalium instead of Scan QR Code you will use Manual Entry: open Kalium wallet -> click the options gearwheel on the upper left -> Load from Paper Wallet -> Manual Entry.

The stripped egg on the left contains a mnemonic seed phrase. Again part of the seed is covered by the egg shell. As a help you can look up words which start with rea and f on the following page https://github.com/bitcoin/bips/blob/master/bip-0039/english.txt (thanks to /u/Aquilus for the link). Importing the seed in Kalium works the same as for the blue egg. In https://vault.banano.cc/configure-wallet you have to change the import type to Banano Mnemonic Phrase, i.e. https://vault.banano.cc/configure-wallet -> import existing wallet -> select import type - Banano Mnemonic Phrase -> enter the seed -> import from seed.

This post might confuse some people but I also hope that it might help some. Happy Easter!
